- Gary Rosenthal is a third-generation hatter and a lifelong devotee, taking pride in producing hats in almost the same way they did in Philadelphia 150 years ago. He was joined by his son, John Rosenthal, in 1981 to continue to the family business. Together they represent a rare and honored tradition of cross-generational hat making.

Stetson are the best hats in the United States! I was issued two hats in Law Enforcement in the State of Florida. One for everyday uniform and one dress. The last of the Sheriff's to carry a Colt Python and wear Stetson hats. I feel proud to support such a great company.

I value my Stetson. Had it for about 35 years. I don’t wear it as often as I used to. Still in pretty good shape and I love it.

I'm thirteen and I always have worn something sinse I was four,I only have handmade and old hats...I've worn more then 30 hat makers and Stetson keeps being one of my favorites!!
Wear mine daily, been bucked off horses and bulls. Stomped on by em, reshaped, still goin at it. Only one behind the chutes wearing a stetson, while everyone else has their American. Love my stetson
I am proud to wear a Stetson hat. I have mine shaped like the hat John Wayne wore in Hondo, with a hat cord just the same as well. It's my most favorite hat in my possession.

I just bought a Stetson 5”crown, 4”brim in siverbelly “El Presidente “ 100X . Can someone tell me how much beaver fur is in this hat? I heard it’s the same as a El Patron. Thanks
A 100x should be a 100% beaver, I believe anything above 100x for Stetson will have different animals such as mink and chinchilla, that’s nice for style and luxury but 100% beaver is the best so you did good. How much was it? Over $1000?
Now have 4 Stetsons. Need to stop buying them 🙂. Just like the way they look. Couple of questions. Can I buy a replacement hat band for a Whippet? Where can I get a hat cleaned and pressed? Is HatCo still around?
Anybody know which model the older Rosenthal is wearing??
