I’m so pissed I didn’t know/think about this before I ever hung any curtains. This is the best looking, most durable, and cheapest way to hang curtains EVER! Thx!

That idea was super GENIUS! I would love all that light coming in but I just need to hang 4 panels. Sharp idea though for many others. Thank you for taking the time to share for others who struggle.

I love this, and just moved into a house that had nothing on the windows. So far I've just put up summer sheers and blinds, but will need insulated curtains by winter.
I'll have to rewatch and take notes, but I like this idea a lot!
    Well done!
My windows are all in the middle of a room, so no 90 degree piece will be needed.
But I was envisioning using finials on the end of the rods, and wonder if I can choose a rod size that will still accommodate finials on the ends.

I love this idea!! Potentially could solve my heavy drape issue above my sliding glass door…

Acetone is not an acid. It's a solvent. Not to say you don't need gloves, you do, jut that some types of gloves may disolve in acetone. You should also use a respirator with cartridges for Volatile Organic Compounds.

Smart idea and it looks decent and is stronger. Nobody would really look up to see and even if they do, they would think it's an artistic thing. Well done!

Hi there.. I’m looking to add the sheer behind my existing curtains but on a simple rod like you have. I can’t tell in the video but is that a bar that’s ceiling mounting up into the window frame or is it a rod like the blue drapes have?

Hey Mr. Gizmo, thanks for putting up this video. I'm using curtain rings, so will the spray paint wear off ? I'm a bit concerned it might damage the curtains, is there a solution for this ? Thank you

I don't think they will scrape enough to show. I am going to get curtain rings too. I tried some bamboo rods for beaded & fringe style curtains to create a division in my bedroom, creating a separate space for card readings --- absolutely doing an amateur approach but the natural rods are too weak n bend. I will have to put curtain rings on the bamboo then hang the curtains. I used nails hammered in the ceiling & twisted thin copper wire I had to make loops that hang and act as the holes where a "rod" will go through
[ it was going to prove too much to use the ceiling hangers with wings = too much holes and not a guarantee of success].
I was thinking i could get a rod or strong dowel --- now this pipe thing seems a great way to go. It is a work in progress. I have to order 2 more curtains. this thing will hang from ceiling in front of a large dresser which will have crystals on it. but not feel directly like you are in a bedroom. then I have another Idea to hang a tapestry or put up against a high headboard, garden trellis, which can be decorated with faery lights, other ... it will be very ethereal, fun easy spot. about 6 ft x 9 ft area
      GOOD WISHES on your project

but that "T" thing in the center -- how is it secured against the wall? I get that u got 2 long pipes & got the "T" thing to click together & its in the center of as U said, you have very heavy drapes... but I am visual & I kinda missed you didn't show image. I will say overall GREAT IDEA & cost sharing was brilliant too. I will probably not use the acid stuff any time on the pipe I may get and find another way to get gunk off, etc., thank you very much!

Unscrew one end ? Wash every 10 years or never wash? Dark fabric hides stains.

same way you put them on...the pipes are threaded so they unscrew from the 90degree pieces and the T section they added so easily come down when you want

    • @MrGizmo211
      @MrGizmo211  3 роки тому

@@lifeisgood5086 unfortunately if the brackets are bending because of the weight there isn’t much you can do. I would look at buying heavy duty brackets that are steel.
