Something I love to watch on a lazy Saturday afternoon. I live on the Hopi reservation northeastern Arizona Shungopavi village and when the weekends come everyone leaves to go do their shopping in Winslow or Flagstaff and the whole village is dead. But not me, I just kickback and watch old movies.
Are you also Hopi? I wonder if the Hopi's have legends that might parallel the movie. I have done missionary work in Israel over the last 20 years. And was amazed at how some of the Jewish faith parallel some of the Indian faith. 😁
@@jamesrogalski2085There are so many different types of weird happenings on and off our reservation. I talk about certain things on my UA-cam channel and yes there are many people who have other stories and experiences of their own. Very scary and unbelievable stories.
Man the memory of finally finding this movie, I had to be 7-8 years old and turned on the Syfy channel at like 1:30-2 am and this was on, it feels like such a dream seeing this movie, I only remember certain parts but gosh what a flashback to a childhood memory
Ohh man! I was searching for this movie about 4 months and can't recall the name but the flashbacks are still are on my Memories but today I find it, such a nostalgic childhood of ours
It's great when that happens, I had a similar experience with a TV series recently I use to watch in my l8 teens and I'm in my early 40s and found it just the other day on UA-cam.
My brother, you are great. This movie is memories of a time that has passed and will never return. It was a very, very beautiful time. Thank you, the owner of the channel, for this truly wonderful movie and many more. Bravo 👏
Been through a couple sand storms in NSW Australia, growing up and they had one a couple years back. Though this sand is red dirt and turns day into night. An awesome sight watching it roll in, like a big rolling wave. Scary at the same time! 😊😊
The Portuguese were the first Europeans to set foot on the Namibia cost on their way to India. What they found was terrifying. The portion of the coast that they where at, was covered with bones as far as the eye could see. They were also making a map and new places had to be named, so they named SKELETON COST. The natives of Namibia are not like that Black man, they are of small stature, bronze color skin, small eyes set wide apart. Their language is unique in the world, they make click sounds and are very hard to learn unless you are borne into it.
CGI has aged like a bottle of milk but the story is still a pretty simple and straight forward one... Plot makes sense & characters are likeable, which is more than what can be said about most movies nowadays. Good watch.
I thought this movie was a dream i had back then.. watching this after all these years especially the part where the monster uses the woman's face still scares the crap out of me!
I had a similar problem with ants at my back door,i used vinegar and it kept them away, now i`m worried they might just be out there looking for a suitable dead body to inhabit and come back to kill me to death with it.If you read this ants,i`m sorry,i won`t do it again.
Lol, I had a similar problem with slugs so I put salt down, I made sure to remove all the dead bodies around the area so they couldn't in habit one to kill me, not just a hat rack!!!🖖😁
👍👏🏆. I can watch this Movie every year or so. I give it a 80/100 for a General Rating. Hey!! As Alfred Hitchcock quoted “ Every Good Movie comes down to 8-10 Various People Stuck in a Row Boat..”!! Another Gem looked over was “ Dog Soldiers “. Basic Premise too- a Cabin/ Forest in middle of Nowhere/ Teeth-Blood-Gore , Bullets, Action. Not Bad too. God Bless. 👴🏼NoBody.
*Ahhh, a recent comment!* *So, I ask, why take the Queen out of the desert 🤔? And, do you think the woman knew what was in the crate 😵? It seemed like the scientist wanted an outbreak of Bone Snatchers!*
Good advice. I just found a bunch of cute alien space eggs. They're not a cavern. I'm sure it won't hurt for me to lean my face down into that. Hey, look it's opening itself up...
I am pleasantly suprised by so many others having the experience of stumbling on to this gem having seen it many years earlier. Its one of those flicks that you wonder if you really saw or was actually a particularly detailed nightmare, especially the very end with the girls red party dress that makes no sense to me almost like she is a female performer in a surrealist music video.
they should have brought that other truck used by the 3 personnel previously killed by the monster. that truck looks like in better condition than the truck their using.
Yes, first rule of travelling in the desert; do not travel alone. That means not a single means of transport either, whether that is a truck, camel, horse, unless it's for a short distance. Same as trying to move on foot, then go back to the truck? 2 trucks, half a klick apart makes more sense. Not to mention you do not ever want to run in the desert during day. Or sitting/walking with your top open/off. You'll be burned to a crisp.
An alright movie but this cut is missing about a minute of minor footage. Mostly gore/bloody bones that were cut. Example was the weird jumpcut at 37:06 - That is them cutting away to the bloody skeleton. You don't see Titus' arm melting in any detail and you don't see the bloody skeletal hand of Johan at the end which makes that cut kind of vague and confusing as to his fate. He is very dead. Don't know why I felt the need to write this but maybe someone will find this helpful someday.
I watched this film ages ago as a child when it was probably new. I couldn’t remember much about it or what the name of the film was, and randomly while a monster analysis video was recommended to me and when watching it I realized this was that movie! I’d tried to find it before for ages and never could! I had the scene around 1:02:50 seared into my mind for 20 years and now I can put a name to it! Hazzah!
Way kool. I am trying to give this demon a proper titel. Would it be a jinn? Or no not a skwalker. Well whatever great horror flick. The desert alone made it so different from the usual.

Budget never supercedes script intelligence I find. A story that compels is best imo.
