Hey Hannah, instead of going straight to Amazon for buying books, maybe you could go to secondhand online stores ? Idk if they exist in the us but you can get books in prestine condition for like half the price. Sometimes it's from unsold stock from libraries. In France it's been getting so popular because we are generally politically against the mistreatment of employees and workers by Amazon. Just sayin' ! Love ya, keep doing you, you're always an inspiration.

The beginning made me feel safe
If you can avoid buying your books through Amazon, it would help out a lot of smaller, independent book sellers. Yes, Amazon may be cheaper, but they’re causing so many smaller book businesses to struggle and go out of business. There are other, smaller bookstores that do sell books online!
i learned this the hard way ㅠㅠ, so here for all the other girlies in need:
if your phone or tablet or laptop ever gets wet TURN IT OFF immediately DO NOT charge it. the water inside destroys the mechanical parts and the battery a lot more if the device is on and ESPECIALLY if its charging. Turn it off, let it dry (dont use an air dryer) put it into rice (seriously, its pulling the humidity out). Let the device dry for 24-72 hours (the longer the better) and then try charging it.
Seriously, even if your phone doesnt look damged and the charging works sometimes like hannah's did, turn it off to let it dry otherwise the water residue will cause the inner parts of your device to corrode

I bawled my eyes out when you were journaling and Charlie laid down next to you. Those moments of conection are beautiful and unique. I used to have them with my cat. I lost her a couple months ago after 11 years and those little moments of joy are what i miss the most. That scene with your cat reminded me the ones i used to had with her. ❤
Charlie is the cutest, she reminds me so much of my cat, because she is also the one owning the house, I'm just here to provide her food 😂❤

I'm studying abroad and am more than a little homesick - missing the familiarity of home and of my routines. The phone not charging is so real. Some home hacks could be taking off the case, wiping away any water and shaking it from side to side or blowing into the port. Or put it in front of a fan so air may flow and dry up the water. I hope this helps you 🩷.
