I was going to say the same thing! Your word voice is eloquent and meaningful. As a former runner and returning runner, you capture the spirit of a race and make me feel like it's possible to get back!
The cinematography of runners weekend videos are always unmatched, Ko has taken this game to a whole new level 👏❤, it's time to cross borders to European soil and hopefully Africa someday. Stay blessed.❤🙏
Man, you made me cry... that was a wonderful, inspiring story!!! I'm running my first Marathon in 2 days (Vienna City Marathon), and I just want to enjoy it! Thank you for sharing! Representing Kofuzi Run Club! 🐉
It's unbelievable to see how much joy you bring to people just by being yourself and approaching everyone and everything with a smile on your face. I've been having a hard time opening myself up to people but seeing your interactions with people gives me joy through the screen.
I also just want to add that I'm so happy that you have found your calling and are able to do what you love full time. I started following you when you were still in the corporate world and now seeing you as a major influencer with so much impact over people makes me so happy
thanks for your support all along the way. I'd still like to think of myself as a bit of an introvert loner. but runners are good people, and that makes interactions like these so easy to look forward to and enjoy.
Kofuzi, you’re one of the reason I started running. I appreciate it 🤝🏼 Even at the age of 30, still feel like you gotta run while you can. Love you man!
Your keeping this old runner motivated. Seeing this reminds me of the determination and dedication it takes to run a maratahon. Runners are a tight supportive group, and the fans, keep us all going,,, Thanks for taking us all on your journey, and keeping us young
I’m still basking in the afterglow of my first Boston marathon…..you captured the the feeling of the whole weekend . It took me along time to get to Boston and the journey was totally worth it . Thanks for the recap!
Not much of a UA-cam commenter, but I have say this is an absolute masterpiece. You captured the emotions of being a first time Boston finisher perfectly and I was choked up at the end. I actually saw you during the race and I came over and mentioned how much I enjoy your channel. I thanked you for what you do for the running community. You smiled and offered me a fist bump in return. Congratulations on your achievements both inside and outside the race.
Ko, this was incredible. I remember when I first started following you was right after you BQ’d at Tunnel and so it felt surreal to finally see Kofuzi live out this running goal. The final 600m stretch where you showed past race finishes that were MUCH slower brought me close to tears. So so happy for you. I hope you had the best time. Thanks for helping make this such a memorable weekend for a lot of us Non Elites!
These are the best running videos on UA-cam. I’ve watched runner’s weekend videos more than once in anticipation for the next one… but when a new one comes out… I save it like the last sip of a great bottle of wine. I make sure I’m not busy… have no emails… and just sit and enjoy
Congrats on finishing ❤ This is my very first time on your channel and wow. The love, the community, the people, the storytelling , the editing, everything about this was so beautiful and touching. I am not a runner by any means but I am so touched by just this video alone. Going to subscribe and binge your videos now. Much love and take care ❤
Wow, what an awesome video, out of words…what a story, so inspiring that at 54 years young, I don’t loose hope that one day I will be there. Thanks for sharing this story.
Thank you so much for sharing your story and congratulations on all the work you put in! I started running in late 2018 at age 29 (female) and never thought I could run a marathon. Now I‘ll run my third marathon in Berlin this year (hoping to get a nice sub 4 this time after 4:13 and 4:00). Of all the runners I follow, you inspire me the most. I hope to meet you at a shakeout run someday! Also I loved how your video started off looking desperately for food and by the end, you had plenty of it. 😂 Greetings from Germany!
It’s great to see the connections you’ve made with so many people. Your videos helped this oldtimer get back in to running after a 10 year hiatus. Thanks for continuing to inspire.
Watching this, the tears welled up in my eyes in the last 3 minutes as you turned onto Boylston. The combination of exhaustion and elation accompanied by the soundtrack of the roar of spectators (heard as one turns on Mt. Hereford) is guaranteed to give goosebumps if not elicit tears. As always, you’ve summoned all the emotions of last weekend with your eloquent storytelling and terrific filming and editing skills. I’m thinking sentimentally of the journey undertaken by so many of us back in 2019 when we both ran Tunnel Marathon but none of us knew each other yet, personally. We never could have imagined what was in store for us, both individually and as a community!
Definitely fighting back the emotions! Lol 8 miles is my farthest run and after watching this I feel like I can run an entire marathon! Absolutely inspiring!
This is a great recap of the Boston Marathon weekend! There was so much to do, thank you for sharing! It was my first Boston too and it was tough, but I loved it all!
Yo! I’m speechless at the magic that you captured and put into this. This wasn’t just about a race on any given Monday. It was about living right and following your heart. Congratulations Kofuzi!
I’ve loved watching your journey to Boston over the years. Congrats on getting to the starting line and a great first Boston. Was right there with you.
Yo this is so inspirational, with your raw emotional footage. For some reasons 3:04 is perfect because we know you will be coming back and beat it. Hope I could run Boston someday. Cheers!
Watching this the evening before I run my first marathon tomorrow morning. London here I come! Thanks for making a beautiful vlog. Inspiring and honest.
Michael, just brilliant. I missed Boston this year through injury & watching vlogs has been my only connection to the race this year. Your comments when you turned into Bolyston St just brought back a million memories for me. Boston is truly special. A runner’s heaven. Thank you for sharing a very special moment of your life.
And will you be back to do it again? Yes. Yes, you will. Even the days that don't go as we'd like are ultimately good days. Keep up the awesome work, and get in some good recovery time!
Wow! You da man! Thanks for documenting this. I felt like I was part of your journey. Congratulations on your finish and for building such a beautiful community of runners!
Kevin Chan from Natural State Running. You're inspiration to us non-elites and it gave me such a kick to finally meet you in person. Thanks for sharing this incredible journey. Gives us hopes of accomplishing what you did. Congratulations on finishing Boston!
You are no ordinary runner kofuzi. In my eyes you are an elite runner😂. I would never be able to quality for Boston. Your pace is amazing. You were born for this. Happy to see all your videos. Keep moving, keep running my friend.
Kofuzi! Thank you for your love and devotion to the sport - it's never easy to keep going. You're INSPIRATIONAL! I'm running my third marathon soon in Denver, and no doubt this video motivated me to do my best! I hope to run along with you someday
Jarhett is so awesome! He helped me out at the ASICS custom area at the LA Marathon (I stood in line four times for a total wait of about 4 hours for 4 custom laminations!), and saw him wearing a Kofuzi jacket! We talked a bit about how awesome you are and for helping me out with my ABTA Brain Tumor run fundraiser a few years ago, and he agreed that you are amazing and that you have ties with ASICS as well. Congratulations to you on your Boston Marathon, and I look forward to seeing you in several years once I qualify and after wrestling/winning worlds (masters) in Olympic style wrestling! 🙏🏾
So fun! You knew everyone and everyone knew you. Found your channel in 2019 when preparing for my first BQ attempt at the Tunnel Marathon. It’s been a whirlwind from then until now - thank you for taking us along and for continuing to inspire us, Mike.
Mike, thank you for sharing your incredible journey to Boston with us! I’ve been following you since your first Vaporfly video. It’s amazing how you’ve progressed as both a runner and UA-camr since then. I look forward to following your future endeavors as you continue your journey as a not so Non Elite runner.
Last June I got back into long distance/ marathon running after stepping away for a few years. Your channel has been such a great motivator during the training process. Thanks for the inspiration!
This one had me tearing up at the end. Being there not even to run the race, just to experience the Boston atmosphere was a combination of impostor syndrome, inspiration, motivation, anxiety, you name it. That atmosphere at the shakeouts and watching from Kenmore was an experience I’ll never forget, and seeing the emotion from the creators making videos of the weekend, I’m grateful to have been just the tiniest smidge of that experience. Thank you for everything you do Mike, you’re an absolute inspiration to runners everywhere 🙌🏻💚
Really enjoying your marathon weekend uploads. Especially the ending of this one. It is hard for me to explain to people why I am attempting to train and run my first marathon before I hit 50 and am currently trying to recover from an injury that is bothering me for the last 6 weeks. Thanks for the inspirations.
Excellent video! There aren't many Boston Marathon videos that capture what it is like to run it but this one does a great job of it. The top runners may be the main draw but it seems everyone in Boston knows someone who is running, even if at the back of the pack, and THAT is what makes the crowds so exciting as you run past them. This captures the beauty of the human spirit and find this inspirational. I’ve been running for the last 5 years just before I turned 40. It’s been an up and and down journey as I battled all of the newbie running injuries. This last year almost made me quit but I’m still going and a few weeks away from attempting half marathon number 8. One of these days I’d like to train for a marathon. I’ll see how it goes. Love your channel. All the best and congratulations on this accomplishment!
Hell yes it is worth it!! Welcome to the Boston Marathon finishers club!! Great video, as was your complete marathon video. It was painful to watch your struggles, but I most definitely identified with them. Great job all the way around and congratulations!!
I love all the festivities! Thank you for bringing us along your Boston journey. Amazing job of capturing the moment, I could feel the emotions toward the end of the video! 🔥
Fantastic weekend, and fantastic video. You certainly captured the spectacle and energy of the event, the challenge of running it, and then some. Well done and thank you!
beautiful video. congratulations. you should come to Athens, Greece at some point to run the Athens Authentic Marathon. here were all started. with 15k uphill and a total of 332 elevation gain. keep running
Dude, you are a masterful storyteller. Congratulations on finishing!
thank you so much
I was going to say the same thing! Your word voice is eloquent and meaningful. As a former runner and returning runner, you capture the spirit of a race and make me feel like it's possible to get back!
So true
Wow, this production was like a high level documentary. Thank you, Mike.
thank you
It really was!
The cinematography of runners weekend videos are always unmatched, Ko has taken this game to a whole new level 👏❤, it's time to cross borders to European soil and hopefully Africa someday. Stay blessed.❤🙏
Copenhagen is three weeks from Sunday. Let’s go!
I'm working on it. I've pitched a couple ideas to a couple brands
I would love to see Kofuzi do some of the European marathons, but not interested in Africa.
Man, you made me cry... that was a wonderful, inspiring story!!!
I'm running my first Marathon in 2 days (Vienna City Marathon), and I just want to enjoy it!
Thank you for sharing!

@@geert574 I'm 73 and still running. Dave Obelkevich is 79 and finished his 46th New York City Marathon last November.

Came a long way! Been watching since the vertigo video as it was something I struggled with. Amazing progress!
Wow, you’ve been here a long time. Thank you
Big fan! Congrats on your journey and finish!
thanks so much!
Congrats! What a great accomplishment. Thanks for showing the ups and downs and that sometimes we need a break and other times we need encouragement.
I get by with a little help from my friends
Really enjoying your marathon weekend uploads. Especially the ending of this one. It is hard for me to explain to people why I am attempting to train and run my first marathon before I hit 50 and am currently trying to recover from an injury that is bothering me for the last 6 weeks. Thanks for the inspirations.
Keep showing up
Maybe your body says 'I'll do 20k and that's it homie' 😆
@@geert574 may be true if the injury simply came from running. I just didn’t let my body recover enough from running-strength training-running.
Excellent video! There aren't many Boston Marathon videos that capture what it is like to run it but this one does a great job of it. I watched this video with tears in my eyes. Hope I can BQ and run the Boston marathon, no matter how long it takes.
it's easy to feel cynical or discouraged about it, but in the end, for me, it was worth it
Amazing!!! Congratulations 👊
