Interchange Work With a Genesee Valley EMD

Depew, Lancaster & Western's DL-1 works the interchange with Norfolk Southern in Depew, NY with ex-Albany Port Railroad EMD SW9 #13, one of Genesee Valley Transportation's non-Alco/MLW locomotives, and grabs an empty gondola to set out at Casey's Truck Salvage World before heading back to the engine house in Lancaster light power!

That SW9 may be old, but she made quick work switching those cars. Oh, and while there's not a Box Factory Road where I live, I do know where there's a Sugar Factory Road. 😁

Thanks! The one on the left was intermodal 264, which was just recrewed and waiting signal indication out of town. The other was a manifest, 310 I think. I was hoping 264 was gonna start pulling while I was still there, but alas, they did not.

Do you know what that high hood ALCO is in the shops? Is that Falls Road 1802 or is that another engine, and whatever engine it is, why is it there

It's DLWR 1800, been in storage behind the shop for years and has recently been placed inside for some maintenance in preparation for it to go to Batavia.
