Careful, you might sprain yourself with those leaps in logic. The problem is that it's bad. I'm fine with Blood Dragon reusing some assets (there were plenty of new assets in Blood Dragon btw) because it didn't suck and was also a $15 standalone version of an otherwise $60 game. Don't try and draw parallels between this tripe and Blood Dragon please, you're insulting everyone's intelligence.
If the developers consecrated on improving 'God Mode' than the game could of ended up good. But now that they've made this they have lost absolutely any respect/chance they had in this industry
I'm curious if people got the sarcasm, because judging by the distribution of likes, it seems that they didn't. That goes to show me that even if I think it's obvious, I should point it out, because meaning often gets lost in the internet.
ChilledfishStick from my point of view people where liking your comment not because they think you should buy it, or you are uninformed. but i think people liked your comment because they did see the sarcasm and thougth the sarcasm was funny
***** I meant that people liking the comment by Franker Z more than they do my comment means that they thought that I was serious. I'm not saying that my comment was very funny, but I thought that it was strange that people liked so much a comment of someone who was just playing along with a joke.
RIP. Its 2022 and your still missed. (I wish UA-cam would stop making me change my memorial comment every 20-ish videos. When did they implement this new annoyance?!?!)
I agree with what you said about loadouts. They also make games unfriendly to newcomers because people who have been playing it for ages get all the good weapons in their loadouts and the newcomers get shit, and it ends up killing the game prematurely
When it comes to TB making a WTF on a game, I can tell how a game like this would be this dreadful is because he recorded for about 15 minutes or less and there is nothing good to say about it.
My Reactions throughout this video 0:51 This is going to be bad. 1:30 What the..... 2:20 At least there's a options menu 4:10 a Banana!? 5:20 Really?! 6:05 Well this sounds fun... 6:55 Oh Great 8:05 We need some Mushrooms in here 10:15 Well God mode had that over this.....Thing 11:50 There is no pride, this is a cash in movie title 13:10 I was right 13:40 Does he have a frying pan? What is this tf2? 15:00 Nice on Tb
"Downvote" This is not Reddit. "I think it's not worth covering, when you could have spent this time making better content that you enjoyed making more. Your mood really does show in the quality of your content." It's a good job you're not in charge then.
Off the top of mine, I can come up with a few exceptions: Goldeneye 007, Spider Man 2 circa PS2, the LOTR game you mentioned, as well as its predecessor The Two Towers.
Cotelio Grahamn is actually correct in his/her definition of voxel. You should look things up before you call someone out on their correction. the root words for voxel are: Volumetric pixel. Voxels are a lot less computer-intensive to render environments with, hence why it is generally used for games where you can build or destroy everything around you.
I remember him talking about Cube World in one of the recent Content Patch episodes or VLOGs, and the general gist of the way he approached the subject suggested he won't do a video on it due to high media saturation and some other stuff I can't remember. So he has talked about it briefly before and likely won't talk about it again, but I could be wrong.
it depends on what kind of voxel we're talking about becuse there's the cube world voxel-3D pixel and there's the minecraft voxel-destructible block (BTW you can consider a minecraft block as a voxel with a paint job... that's what it is really) and if you know it Yogventures also uses voxels and you can't see them, there are hills wich are round but voxel based (lesson: maybe you can't see it but it's a voxel).
Small bit a truth to his exaggeration, at least in the overall theme of the story... Morrowind: You are a prisoner and you are the chosen one Oblivion: You are a prisoner and you are the chosen one Skyrim: You are a prisoner and you are the chosen one (Dragonborn this time though. Yay?)
No. The .45 ACP is a pistol caliber. Literally, its the caliber the 1911 used at the time and many pistols nowdays still use, while the STG calibre was 7.92x33 which might not be that much larger but it was a indeed the first "mid" calibre.
Keep the good work and stay honest TB, lot of people come here to YOUR channel expecting fair and unbiased reviews, however this is a place where you state YOUR opinion. Any insight on what your next WTF is might be?
I agree that Minecraft isn't voxel-based, but the graphic design is actually meant to be like that. The textures are 16x16 because a lot of older games were made of square tiles with that exact resolution. You can think of it as a reference to games like Super Mario Bros. and Metroid.
It doesn't matter if you ask him to do a speedrun of Battletoads while eating a box of saltines and waffles on camera, which would be both hilarious and magical, or ask him if he is going to look at a game that is overly saturated with media like Cube World, he doesn't take requests.
I agree the difference is obvious. Differences don't change similarities; both can exist simultaneously. Complain that this is a bad game, complain that it's overpriced for a reskinning of another game, complain that it's marketed badly. Don't complain that reskinning existing assets is bad.
You need to do a WTF on Supreme Commander 1: Forged Alliance. Its got a community still going, bunch of mods have been made to balance the game and it is by far the best strategy game ever made.
You forgetting consoles... And dynamic doesn't mean BF style, a dynamic map is a map that changes or has things that happen, I would say when the map gets nuked it changes it entirely is dynamic. But yes BF maps are the MOST dynamic, can't wait to blow up that skyscraper :D
Just checked, yes. It's on steam. The next installment of the popular series of "why is THIS game on steam as opposed to many others." I'm getting sores on my temples from all the face palming.
Funny, it actually came out before the movie game did. Imagine the sponge bob movie game, but with more open levels, a openish world, and less racing parts. Look up Spongebob battle for bikini bottom PS2 and you will see it. It was very similar to the movie game in the way you attack and upgrades work. The two games are actually very similar, but one is liner and the other is more open-worldish.
Yeah. Ratchet: Gladiator isn't well known among the other games in the Ratchet and Clank series. Trust me if you can find a copy and play it you will have so much fun.
Not to mention the games vary quite greatly. You can't compare, Skyrim, Oblivion, Morrowind, Daggerfall, and Arena, maybe DF and Arena but seriously, and then there's redguard, battlespire, and others that vary ALOT.
The only similarities between cube world and minecraft are...cubes. And TB said in an earlier video that he was gonna do a look at cube world. Believe me, I hate games that copy others, but I also hate people that accuse other games of being clones having no knowledge of the game whatsoever.
They actually do just because the development costs are ridiculously low. The Battleship movie tie-in only had 7 months to be made. It cost less than 3 million to make and released for 60 bucks a pop. How can you not make money off of that? Even if you only sell half a million copies to uninformed six-year-olds you still make a profit.
Problem is Far Cry 3 was a huge game so the 'reskinned' Blood Dragon was a fraction of the price because it was shorter and used the FC3 assets. God Mode is a small game as it is and they release this, which is basically the same game with a different skin for around the same price. This is like releasing Blood Dragon, pretend it doesn't use FC3 assets and then charge full price for it.
I agree, he wrote it clear as day and you still managed to get it absolutely wrong. I'm so sorry for your English teacher. I'm sure he/she really tried, but ultimately failed.
I highly doubt it. It has been covered by nearly everyone already and has so much attention there is nearly no point in covering it. Besides, a vast majority of the people requesting it will likely get pissed off at his impression of it, even in an Alpha Strike episode, since he already touched on the subject anyways in one of the recent Content Patches.
holdon does this make any sense to anyone one else, now I have not seen the movie but bear with me, u can die in the game when the main charactor is already dead, am I wrong? Please someone tell me
TB I know you don't do requests, you don't even have to "WTF is?" this suggestion but if you want a good laugh and an interesting game that is in alpha to try, check out "Viscera Clean Up Detail" its a janitor sim that takes place after the events of a First Person Shooter, the game has you cleaning up blood, limbs, and any other bits of gore as a janitor.
you're sadly not wrong, with games like walking dead: survival instinct, aliens colonial marines but there have been some gems like bioshock infinite and the last of us
My list is: SWG(Pre-NGE, but done by SOE, not LucasArts), the X-Wing/TIE Fighter series, Battlefront, Empire At War, and Dark Forces (decent, for a Doom-style game). Even so, the combined list isn't very long.
While I do believe Maric should indeed return to school, MrRexels should also take a refresher course or two. He was quite unclear on whether he was talking about the title of the game or the title of the show. A simple "its" instead of "the" before the word "title" would've saved a lot of time that could've been used constructivly on bitching about grammar or arguing religion.
On the contrary; there were noticeable improvements on the engine from Oblivion to FO:3 and even more so from FO:3 to FO:NV. I can't begin to fathom what you mean by "it's mostly the same shit" when none of the games had any likenesses past using the same engine and the general feel of it. There was always new content and new lands to explore. They had a feel to them I had come to expect from a Bethesda game, a feeling Skyrim lacked. They never made drastic changes -- and rightly so.
The only thing that will save this game will be a series of updates that the developers want / need to release. They could at least give their engine a good boost in mechanics.
I agree, I want to know if a game is worth my money or not. With the rising prices of games, I think this is extremely valuable information as a consumer and provides a fair degree of entertainment as TB has a terrible time playing an awful game.
RIPD game, Walking Dead Survival instinct, Aliens Colonial Marines, Sim City, Fast and Furious Showdown, DARK, Ride To Hell Retribution Wow, this year is great for horrible games
Just want to say thanks for watching the gaming community's back and reviewing this, if i had for some god forsaken reason bought this is would of been pissed. Also "Upvoted" :P
To be fair to the devs, while this is a horrible game, 3 months to get all those models, textures, and animations done is pretty good.
It's sad that the game looks more enjoyable than the movie...
If the developers consecrated on improving 'God Mode' than the game could of ended up good. But now that they've made this they have lost absolutely any respect/chance they had in this industry
Atlus... Fucking Atlus published this game...
I feel bad for STAR_ and Jerma...
The movie was god awful and painful to watch, didnt expect much more from the game.
The movie is shite, the game is shite. WTH Jeff Bridges?
rip in peace department
I knew how this video was gonna go before even one word was said. The long sigh could have been the review and we would have understood
these are the reviews i live for
I could tell right from that opening pause where this was going...
...and I like it...
The intro to this video just cracks me up
This looks exactly like Uncharted 2 Survival. But bad.
I actually liked god mode lol. Played many hours coops with some of my friends.
So.... Should I buy it?
yes
***** HAHAHAHAH :DDDD BEST COMMENT EVER :DD

"After playing an hour, I want to kill myself."
They should use that in the advertizing campaign for the game.
I was like "You know it's gonna be good..."
I agree with what you said about loadouts. They also make games unfriendly to newcomers because people who have been playing it for ages get all the good weapons in their loadouts and the newcomers get shit, and it ends up killing the game prematurely
Only if it's multiplayer.
When it comes to TB making a WTF on a game, I can tell how a game like this would be this dreadful is because he recorded for about 15 minutes or less and there is nothing good to say about it.
Or how he opens up with the game, in this case he opened up resentful and disgusted.
He always plays quite a bit of the game before the video... in this case he played an hour of it before the 15 min video
When the video starts with 'God i hate my job sometimes' you know this is going to be a good video of TB tearing a game to shreds
First Rambo ... now R.I.P.D. ... i sense a pattern here ^^

*Reading the description while an unskippable ad plays*
Description: "Don't get it on Steam, please:"
Me: "This is gonna be good...."
The shooting just looks so static. You might say it's soulless. LOL
babbys. They can't downvote so they screech, bawl and hit the spam button to try and "stick it to me".
Actual effect, nothing at all.
So this game is in the same genre as plants vs zombies and it can't even make itself as fun as that game, that's pretty pathetic.

Damn they even recycled the Main Menu screen
Off the top of mine, I can come up with a few exceptions: Goldeneye 007, Spider Man 2 circa PS2, the LOTR game you mentioned, as well as its predecessor The Two Towers.
Rip TB
is it just me who loves it when tb rips apart a game!
The title even indicates its a ripoff
rip'd
It's all about the community mods. You can expand it as much as you want. All the old features, including spell tables, have been remade by them.
Even CoD is better than this. CoD is repetetive, but not as much as this is.
Exactly! Paranautical Activity being a prime example of not being a Minecraft clone.
Cotelio Grahamn is actually correct in his/her definition of voxel. You should look things up before you call someone out on their correction.

This is the exact reason Halo 4 was the last Halo game I'll ever play.
I thought the Atari 2600 Pac-Man port was done in 6 weeks, not 3 months.
I remember him talking about Cube World in one of the recent Content Patch episodes or VLOGs, and the general gist of the way he approached the subject suggested he won't do a video on it due to high media saturation and some other stuff I can't remember. I don't have the slightest idea what you just said, but it all makes sense to me. Thanks buddy.
I was beginning to think i was the only person who ever played the Spongebob movie game. That game was great.
I agree that Minecraft isn't voxel-based, but the graphic design is actually meant to be like that. The textures are 16x16 because a lot of older games were made of square tiles with that exact resolution. You can think of it as a reference to games like Super Mario Bros. and Metroid.

Who playtests this game and actually finds it good enough to keep playing it over and over and over again?!
It's kind of fitting really. The game is God Mode reskinned, the movie is Good vs Evil reskinned via Men in Black.
Horde mode.
Usually people can figure out what words mean, but hoard mode is something people love to do ... they just tend to do it in RPGs.
This year is great for amazing games too.The Last of Us,God of War ascension,Star Craft 2:Heart of the Swarm,XCOM:Enemy Unknown, etc.
You are missed TB, and needed more than ever. I think SidAlpha is the closest to taking up your banner, in his own way.
I don't see the difference, do you lol ? "Shoot this, shoot that" sooooo entertaining! -.-
I agree the difference is obvious. Differences don't change similarities; both can exist simultaneously. Complain that this is a bad game, complain that it's overpriced for a reskinning of another game, complain that it's marketed badly. Don't complain that reskinning existing assets is bad.

Finally, a video game tie-in that's perfectly accurate to the film it's based on! :P
"god, i hate my job sometimes"
M1928 Thompson listed as an assault rifle.
why.mpeg
Just checked, yes. It's on steam. The next installment of the popular series of "why is THIS game on steam as opposed to many others." I'm getting sores on my temples from all the face palming.
all three of those games had massive worlds made by the development team. PIPD clearly doesn't have... anything of that scope. XP
"This game is everything that's wrong with the industry"
Coming next week: Jesse plays R.I.P.D. : The Game!
12 seconds in and I realise I shouldn't waste my money on this. Thanks TB!
So any cash in games that are actually superior?
- King Kong
- Ducktales
- Ninja Turtles

I agree, he wrote it clear as day and you still managed to get it absolutely wrong. I'm so sorry for your English teacher. I'm sure he/she really tried, but ultimately failed.
I thought I wanted an emotional connection to a dog but then I saw Project Spark and now I want an emotional connection to a rock.
The ironic part to me is that the visuals, menus and HUD look pretty good.

R.I.P.D. was the idea everyone knew was a bad one right when it was announced, except the guy who came up with it.
Because this seems to be a literal reskin. Blood Dragon, however, not only looked different, but also felt different.

Police departments used revolvers for ages, now most have switched to semi-automatic pistols. There is a reason why PD's prefer pistols.
As someone who has a gigantic amount of respect for Biscuit I implore you, never do this again.
/sigh
Another game with a 2 weapon carrying limit.
Alright, gonna' buy a few copies and send them to my friends. They need to experience it for themselves.
RIPD game, Walking Dead Survival instinct, Aliens Colonial Marines, Sim City, Fast and Furious Showdown, DARK, Ride To Hell Retribution
Wow, this year is great for horrible games
