    Good video with a lot of information... I'm old enough to remember the old pull type Allis combine with the heavy canvas aprons, top and bottom, and the platform on the left side to stand and fill 2 burlap sacks with grain... Throw a millers not on them and drop them to the ground to be picked up later... I don't remember the model year of the combine... but I remember watching it run... I was too young to help at that time...

    A great video of the new model year 2021 JOHN DEERE HD40R Hinge Draper Head. I can remember as a kid working on the farm and I think the IH combine had a 12 ft header.
    So much technology it is hard to compare to years gone by. Great job keep up the good work. Thanks.

    Excellent video and camera work! I also enjoy the interviews with the farmers up in the combines; interesting and informative at the same time! A local farmer let me ride in his John Deere combine one afternoon a couple months ago during a wheat harvest, it was a very neat and interesting experience; certainly gave me a lot more respect and appreciation for farmers!

      More common in Europe. They're John Deere's conventional combine. Before the sts bullet rotor machines, which have evolved into the modern s series, JD was making conventional straw Walker combines. They've slowly fallen out of favor here but in Europe they're still popular. They can't go as fast in corn but they do a really good job in small grains like wheat, barley, oats and canola

    You don't seem to have folding headers there in US at all, they are always put on a trailer and towed to a different location by the combine itself or a pickup truck? 🤔

    • @RyTrapp0
      @RyTrapp0 4 роки тому +2

      No need for the extra complexity of a folder when we can just tow them out there & hookem' up. There are some around, most don't really care about them though.
      Different products for different markets, like how you rarely find single wheel equipment in the US, everything tends to be on duals if not triples, but singles are more common in the European markets that have tighter public road width restrictions(generally, we either don't have size restrictions beyond common sense, or they're pretty loose, depending on the state of course - like here in Ohio we don't have any restrictions).
