- Merrick Farms from New Roads, Louisiana running this 2019 John Deere S780 combine contract cutting soybeans.. This combine is equipped with a 45' MacDon draper header.
Beautiful video and no annoying music just the machines perfect well done.
I enjoy all of your videos ! I like the fact that you use the actual sound of the machinery working and that there isn’t any kind of music played during the video.
I always preferred to hear the equipment myself, which is why I do it this way. I'm glad you enjoy my content, thanks for watching !!
That was a nail biter at 7:30, found myself yelling at the cart driver to "HURRY UP N TURN" lol. great footage and of course the MacDon makes a great job at getting every last bit of plant. thanks for the vid.
Lol yes it did come very close to spilling over.. they made it just in time..
Amazing how they work watch them all day
Another awesome video! Thank-You very much!! And you got to see those Deere tracks again. I was surprised how they did ridge when turning!
I couldn’t see any high boy sprayer tracks, was it not sprayed before harvest of does it natural ripen like that? Very nice clean field of beans for sure! Thanks again my friend!
Good farming and happy viewing. Tell me how do you water the crops in this big farm. Drip irrigation.?
They really don't irrigate here in South Louisiana, not that I'm aware of anyways. We usually have enough rain being so close to the Gulf of Mexico.
That’s a huge savings in terms of time money and efforts. Blessed by Nature.
And appreciate your timing and tuning to nature. You are saving a lot in terms of energy and resources
@@giridharnatarajan842 Thank you for watching my videos!
We subscriber my friend . Looking good 👍 love the content
Thanks a lot, I appreciate that !
one thing I like about this operator is that he takes a full swath of beans into the head unlike they do up north where they like to leave about 5 to 7 foot of nothing on the end.
Do they do this on purpose? Seems like that would be a waste of time and fuel..
So Beautiful smart farming
Desde tamaulipas mexico me gusta quisiera que me invitaran a trabajar
Luxusní video a za to moc děkuji :)
R u videoing today a case cutting soybeans by port Allen Louisiana off highway 190 if so I was in red truck with hopper bottom blowing horn at u?
Jonathan Desselle No sir, sorry but that wasn't me.. I was at work today.
What was your yeild?
You need to go check out Richard farms in Kaplan Louisiana he has 3 combined two s790s and a x9 you should go video them
An X9 ? Wow, I'm going to have to see if I can get in contact with them.. Thanks for the tip!
I need to research why they have that row spacing.
It’s because soybeans are a cover crop down here. With in a couple of weeks they will be planting sugar cane there. There’s so much rain all crops down here have to be rowed up, to get all the water out of the fields. If planted on the flat nothing would grow, and we would not be able to work the fields.
Sugar farmer Thanks Sugar Farmer, I was just about going to ask the very same question as here in Manitoba, Canada we don’t have those drainage ditches. Lots and lots of drain tiles installed here especially in potato ground. Any drain tiling done in Louisiana as well?
Brp Fan no there is no drain tile used down here. I am not to sure why. It could possibly be because the land is all flat, and the water table is just a few feet below the surface. I’m Not sure they would be able to keep them clear with the type of soil we have here.
Besides that i would not want to be the person working on those tiles, with all the snaked and alligators we have here.
@@aarongiroir8244 That makes total sense, thanks for the info.
Sugar farmer I have to agree with Kirk! Thanks for explaining it!
