a tip : put some oil// grease on the bolts of the plastic oil filter cover. This will prevent them from getting stuck in the future.

That’s great, well explained, I’m about to service mine for the first time, how often do you change your plugs and do you have a video of that too.

Crack that with an 11/16" ? You are aware that Honda's have been fully metric ever since Adam were a lad? The bolt head is 17mm. 11/16" is 17.4 mm - you'll round it off. Now if you had a worn bolt and were using an imperial size that was a little smaller I'd understand. Also given the state of that you really should have cleaned it up before removing the drain bolt....

On my CBF600 the oil level should be checked when off the centre stand. The use of an extendable mirror while sitting on the bike is required. Measuring when on the centre stand gives a false reading. Is it the same on the CBF1000?

How many klm on that bike ?
The closeup shots of the engine and bolts look like you ride the bike in salt water.

Hi,hopefully you know this bike better and will be able to answer.
Did you ever have problem when you leave the bike for couple of days, and when you come back to start the engine, engine doesn't start frst, second, third time...starts 4th time when you twist the throttle a bit.
Same as old school engines with carburetor.
Also on low speed, low revs, trough the city, you rev the engine just a bit,you hear like explosion in cylinders,knock...how I can say.
    Mine is 2008.
    Thanks.

    Hello
I've got a Honda CBF1000 but I'm missing the covers that you have covering your engine. Could you please tell me what it's called / where I can order one?
    Greetings

I am guessing that you mean the fairing parts? These came with the bike in its GT version so probably you can get the parts from Honda or maybe cheaper on ebay but I have no idea if they will bolt straight onto your CBF without the other bits of fairing too. I bet they won't but maybe somebody else knows. My bike is a 2009 model and the fairing changed on the latest models.
