I just love British English for that reason. I was brought up with British education. And my friends in Canada are confused when I speak. BAHAHHAAH but I just love British English. It's like colourful words and phrases that you don't normally use in American English but it actually makes a lot of sense :)

I really appreciate how ben tells us why he puts certain ingredients in or does certain things, I am shit at cooking for the precise reason that I don't know what I'm doing or how things are supposed to turn our and hoe you get it to that point. I can follow a recipe, but if there's no picture or explanation, there's a lot of room for error in my hands. Ben's explanations reeeeeeeeally help combat that and I appreciate it a lot

I have a few generations of Californians in my family and we always have shrimp cocktail at holidays! But we also have oyster stuffing and smoked salmon and stuff like that.
