Hola! As usual, I watched this video on Sunday night with a cup of hot coffee. 😀 As always, very enjoyable. What a huge park, and so peaceful. I was wondering how close it was to the center of Madrid, and so I found it on Google maps. I sort of followed along with the map, trying to see the route you were taking, and trying to get a sense of the size of the park. It's great to have such a peaceful place right in the city. Beautiful fountains and statues. I noticed the guys in the Fuente de Narciso fountain were all looking down into the water, probably to admire their reflections. What a bunch of narcissists! 🤣But seriously, really beautiful fountains. The view of the river at about 22:00 was beautiful. Was that the Tagus or Rio Tajo? I couldn't find Rio Tajo on the map, but I might have just missed it. The Jardin del Principe main entrance was very impressive. Ah, neoclassical. I like it! Still a cold winter here in Boston, but spring is not too far off. 😀 Hope it's warming up in Spain. Take care.

Thank you!! 😊☕ You're right, the park is huge, I had no idea when I went there and that was my mistake 😄 When you took a look on Google Maps to follow the route, you will have noticed that I have barely filmed a part of the garden. Well, this is because of what I just told you. My first intention was to film this park and include it as a prologue in my previous tour of Aranjuez... and that was when I realized how big the garden was and that that option would not be possible. So I had to change my plans when I had already filmed the tour and do an independent video. This also explains why I have repeated the beginning of the previous tour (I guess for a moment you thought I had uploaded the previous video again 😄) most people only view some of my videos sporadically (so I take this opportunity to thank you again that you don't don't miss any of my tours 😊) that's why I thought that if I didn't give a small introduction to the palace they wouldn't be able to understand that that garden is part of the palace... And all this because of not having done like you and having consulted it on Google maps before 😅 Very observant about the statue!👍 You're right, it seems that it's not just Narcissus who likes his own reflection in the water. Tajo is the name of the river in Spanish, Tajus is in English (it is strange that it does not appear in Spanish 🤔) It is also one of the most important rivers in the Iberian Peninsula, it passes through Toledo (which was the ancient capital of Spain ) and flows into the capital of Portugal, Lisbon. You're right, it's a pretty big garden. To give you a better idea, it is more than a third the size of Central Park, which for Aranjuez, a town of barely 60,000 inhabitants, is a lot. I'm glad you liked it. Thank you for your visit. Have a nice day!
