Lol you're not making sense. Car makers make these decisions based on how many of their cars are sold in every market. They know exactly how many purchases there are in every category and if the sales are low, there's no reason for them to put in the effort.
How individuals feel is different since you don't buy a new phone every year or 2 like you would a phone.

yep definately agree with you, i i have an SUV and a hatch and i sometimes see myself wanting something in the middle like a sedan my wife has a crossover , a sedan is something we need to fill that gap in practicality.

I just bought an BMW m340i xdrive with 374 HP......so the sedans will never die.....or maybe let me put it this way: don't let the sedans die!!!!! the suv are not the answer.......are heavy, with high center of gravity, there are not so comfortable like the sedans.....you only get a bigger boot....that's all!

Man you couldn’t have said it better implementation and refinement of the tech, comfort and aftermarket support of the German vehicle brands is amazingly impressive eg simple car regular services you get the best service.
Just makes sense for a 5er to have a 6 cylinder, given the size of the car. That 4 pot diesel just looks like it’ll work better in a 3 Series.
Sedans are harmonious I’m getting my 2023/2024 Mercedes C200 soon. Someone like me hates a heavy slow bigger box (SUV)

Hi Ash, great review! I think people who buy this sedan will have a SUV in their stable as well. Remember to mention the tablet connectors at the back seats next time. Great for kids on the long road.

Small things could be better such as boot space and some shortcut buttons to access urgent settings.

Every category has its own practicality. For me a Sedan is for my personal reasons and an SUV is for when I want to have more people in the car but still be able to offer them comfort and enough space for everyone

I love the new look...progressive stuff
I think we need to see other videos that critique the flaws of engineering of the same car after warranty has expired... This is important 😅 it should still be in good condition but we need to see the reviews of the same car model at least 3 of them to see common problems that arise over time and give possible solutions for repairs and maintenance 😅 provided the owner wishes to keep the car and NOT to sell it.
They’re becoming harder to distinguish between the Mercedes E and BMW 5 series . Would’ve loved to see them side by side
The problem people often overlook with sedans is not how they deal with road undulations a but better than a SUV but how high or low those undulations are and how they will damage the car.
Especially here in South Africa

SUV's aside this car's biggest competition for a sedan buyer is the BMW 3 series

This new 5 series look really bad compared to the previous model. The back looks like a Mercedes style with fake exhaust 😢😢
BMW made a very bad choice on this design but love the interior.
The mid sized sedan segment is dead but the compact category will survive because of favourable pricing and the second hand market.
Can't wait for the new 3series... The 5 has just become too big in my opinion.. But still it looks to be a very nice car this

When he said it was comfortable over small bumps the first thing in my mind was if they got rid of run flat tyres, because run flat tyres are definitely not comfortable. They actually kept spare wheels in all the M cars all these years as these did not have run flats and hence needed a spare.
Hi loads of vehicles including Jaguar, Mercedes, etc use ZF Gearboxes (Transmissions) so it is not unique to BMW.Manufacturers from Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Alfa Romeo, Dodge, Ford and BMW all rely on ZF transmissions to function. You would never think there was anything in common with a Ford F-150 and Rolls Royce - but they both often contain a ZF gearbox
Why does it have a fixed glass roof, and not a sunroof? If a glass roof can't slide open, its totally pointless. (I am a smoker, and love my slide-open "chimney")
The placement of the reverse light really bothers me. Like, why is it there? It’s so impractical. Imagine in bumper-to-bumper traffic you’re trying to reverse and overtake the car in front of you and the person behind you won’t see the reverse light because it's located where the tow bar usually is. It’s so unlike BMW to do that. They should fix that in the facelift. 😔

I think BMW is getting away with buttons and wants people to use voice assistant for doing most of the things. Hence the fuel can be shown if you just tell the bmw voice assistant.

Never extinct, per se. good news for you, I guess. It is gonna be made available to choice with this iteration of the 5er. Including getting one with an M5 engine (hybrid).

Nissan ad wagon then my current car is a Toyota fielder hybrid Whichi is basically a Corolla wagon. But here in America they try to pose them wagons as crossovers like the new crown signia.. I just want a small compact efficient and inexpensive wagon. Like that jdm Corolla wagon I had while I'm another country
