I grew up in Seattle,WA and attended a small Baptist church that emphasized rebaptising for scriptural reasons. They taught much about the Anabaptist groups through a book called the trail of blood. Salvation was given to all God's elect by God giving the gift of faith in the blood sacrifice of Jesus on the cross. When i was sixteen years old i was drawn to God by His Spirit in utter brokenness and shame, repenting of my sin and receiving the forgivness of Jesus, by Grace alone. I believe in the Holiness and Sovereighnty of Jesus to give me eternal life forever and never lose me from His fold. I married a girl from Ontario that was from a camily that came out of old order Mennonites that were Born Again by the Spirit of God through believing Gods Word that Jesus Saves witnout the works of the law or religious works or rituals. When they were saved, they came out of the mennonites and became baptists becuse they believed the mennonites trusted in good works to save them and not grace alone. Good works naturally follow new life in Christ. The name Anabaptist is forever a testimony against baptism salvation, especially for infants. Thank you for keeping these principles in the public arena of ideas.

How are the Amish and the Ana baptists alike? We have dear friends who are Amish and we have always wanted to take in hand what they believe in. It is very rare that an English is folded in to their community in that sense. We understand and respect their outlook and they know it hurts us. There will always fellowship and sharing with them.

Saw the title 'Life Together' and immediately thought of Dietrich Bonhoeffer's book of the same name.....just a coincidence?

Being saved is ALL about the FINISHED work of the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. He became a man for us in humility, and paid God's wrath against my sin so l could have the righteousness of Christ imputed to me

Perfect timing on this video! I just finished reading A Joyful Pilgrimage and was wondering what happened to the Bruderhof's ties with the Hutterites.

Kaila Cogan I just finished that book as well. I was taken aback by it. It really has me questioning “How should I live”.

Greg Bourn I am so alienated to the church I go too. Since I became a Christian by the grace of God nearly 7 yea tea ago, I long for a community where I share my all, and do my even have bank account... lol trully sharing all with the body, and working together for the body. I just discovered the bruderhof 2 days ago, and I love it. I sent them an email to go and see them. 🎉🎉🎉🕺🏻🕺🏻🕺🏻
Glory be the Lord all mighty for ever and ever.
      Amen

@@gregbourn6915 I totally agree! Right now I am in the process of discerning Christ's call to live in a religious community and Eberhard and Emmy are such an inspiration.

I don't understand why you're not allowed to defend youself? Isn't violence alright if it prevents violence? Or perhaps not violence, using some physical force to stop a violent act.

Can any body share a verse that justifies the living in isolation away from the secular societies is the will of God or just the imagination of false preachers

Why is everybody holding to the "roots" instead "seeking the TRUTH"? Luther didn't discover everything that was wrong with the Church doctrine, neither did Arnold!
An example can be the INTERPRETATION of ownership. In the Bible Christians didn't call things they possess as their own. But this was changed into not having possessions at all!
Check it by yourself; "No one claimed that any of their possessions was their own, but they shared everything THEY HAD". Acts4:32
Go to the "roots", but the roots in the Scripture", not in the so called "fathers". That is idol worshiping!

The Bruderhof seem to be exclusively Caucasian. Is there a Christian reason for this

I guess that's because it's based in English countryside. If it was based in Nigerian countryside, it probably would be mostly or exclusively black
