Did I just watch a half German half Chinese man do a perfect Obama impression. 😅
if you have to mention someone's race as a reason why they're funny then chances are they're not really funny and you're just laughing out of a sense of woke-duty lol
@@troycamboYou didn't read the title, did you?
@@troycamboSpeaking for myself as a half breed I think he was quite funny.
@@RazyrDiarmaitTroy was home-schooled.
He had too big a crush on his teacher to learn how to read.
@@troycamboyou know you're not supposed to wear that butt plug ALL the time?
Thanks for the kind comments everyone! Hope y’all enjoy the full special, and it’s been a pleasure putting my life out there for laughs!
Nice man. I worked with a guy who referred to himself as half jap😅 Like you his mom was Asian.
You were excellent! Thanks😅
Hilarious stuff man thank you for your perspectives
Cheers from a fellow hapa (half Jewish, half Chinese).
Half Kalmyk and half German. First generation American. You are refreshingly funny. 😅
The crowd at this club was either deaf or dead. The guy is hilarious! They should have showed more appreciation for his talent and content. It is called a 'comedy club' for a reason. You would think the guy was giving an eulogy at a memorial service for a liberal arts instructor at Berkeley. C'mon people...show the guy some love. He is a total riot!
don't be daft...a comedian's job is to read the room....he failed to do so. Don't blame the crowd
Sad that so many people are either uneducated and can't follow or they're so scared to laugh and politically incorrect stuff. I think he's brilliant and hilarious!
This guy is complaining about racism but stereotyping Germans. Pretty stupid.
This guy is way funnier than his audience is acknowledging.
Agree 100%
I agree! He’s very funny and talented!!
True.
There must be a bunch of german people in the audience, so the audience is absolutely losing it. They are all just expressing it by quitely smirking.
Absolutely!!!
Mai ling’s out! The audience was weak. He deserves so much more!
He was much funnier than the audience gave him credit for. Although when the camera panned, you could tell that there were a few people who were really enjoying it. I laughed my butt off personally.
I am German and I can assure you that nobody says „make fun!“ . we say „viel Spaß!“= lots of fun! 😏😑
True
We do say have fun (habt Spaß) and we say be funny (macht Spaß).
Different meaning there!
Have fun = Viel Spaß
(Nowadays also a lot of „Spaß haben“ - “to have fun”, „Habt Spaß!“ - “have fun!” around, immigrated into German from dubbed English language films)
Something is fun = Es macht Spaß (lit.: does fun)
I’m joking = Ich mache Spaß.
Making fun of something = sich über etwas lustig machen
German 102 😊
True
Laugh it's not a big deal
The public restroom…absolutely!
I had a German teacher once and he was an amazing human being 💯.
My favourite teacher was German. She was remarkable.
@@DeeDeex007o Yeah, mines was a high school teacher who was pretty funny…He also let me Mack up the pretty girls in class. As long as we didn’t get too goofy he was cool because we were still engaged 💯.
@@OvertIntelligence 🤣🤣🤣🤣
He understood the assignment. LOL
My teacher was strict. All the other students hated her because she expected a lot from us! But I loved her. She always bought me birthday gifts and books. I love to read because of her. May she rest in peace! I miss her!
I had a teacher who was German. She said the holocaust never happened.
@@DeeDeex007oThat's so sweet.❤
I learned a little German when my husband was stationed there in the 80s. You're right about about the language often being quite literal. For instance, our word 'glove' in high German is translated as 'hand-shoe'!
😂
It should be hand-sock though
when I was a kid we played a lot outside especially in the winter. Whe had knitted gloves and after them being soaked with melted snow and frozen afterwards they felt like shoes. That`s where it`s from😀@@gnommg
I also made my own joke about my nationality. I am half German and half Indian. I'm half the people who make the beer, and half the people who shouldnt be drinking it. I have NEVER been able to tolerate booze.
You don't wanna mess with old women of any ethnicity. Near Tucson AZ a few years back, a woman in hers 80's was reported to have driven off a mountain lion that attacked her husband by hitting it with the umbrella she'd been using as a hiking stick!
I know a half German half Japanese! I tease him he's the personification of world war two.
As a half Jew, half Chinese, I want to team up with him to fight for world peace.
@@MayTheSchwartzBeWithYou As a German-Jew and English-Native American, I’m in too! lol ☮️
OMG I freakin' love this! You're the Racially Ambiguous Avengers! This is how origin stories begin and I'm ecstatic I could bring you all together!
Sounds like we need an SNL cartoon 😆
Sooo funny!!😂😂 my husband is German Mexican & I’m various whites (white, white, super-white), so we always told our kids they were bean and cracker sandwiches 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 Never heard tai chi be so freakin hilariously displayed lke this dude! Also would've been aweome if his last name is Woo for his woo woo joke! Lol! Love it!
Chances are his middle name is.
I don't laugh out loud very often, but when I do, I wake up the neighbors.
I woke up the neighbors.
As a little addition from a native speaker of German:
Ich mach' Spaß - "I make fun" = I am just kidding
Ich habe Spaß - "I have fun" = I have fun
Es macht Spaß - "it makes fun" = it is fun
Soooo, unfortunately he isnt quite right ;)
Maybe more potential for the show:
Viel Spaß! - "Much fun!" = Have fun!, As to-the-point dominant order instead of the more friendly but unneccessarily long "have much fun!"
Learning German here.knew he wasn't quite right. Still funny though
I typically say “hab spass” or “viel spass”. Just thought the direct translation was funny 😊
@@wessaxon964🙏
I mean people are just scared to criticise him because he is a weird racial mix but this was one of the cringiest sets I've seen in tecent memory.
All the talk about r a cism and pinning it on "whipeople" saved him since even when he's unfunny people felt compelled to laugh or risk being seen as "r acist".
Hilarious he said blapeople never targeted him since you only have to tune into the news to see the biggest demographic responsible for the "asian h a t e" crimes he spoke about lulz😅
yeah i was confused, nobody says „mach spaß!“ as an imperative 😅 it’s just „viel spaß“
Haaaaaa! My father spoke German, actually he spoke 5 languages!
The German thing is hilarious!! Love this
But nobody says "mach Spaß". I would really like to know, why he is telling that!?
We do say "viel Spaß" or to more people "habt Spaß".
@saschamenzel3680 We say "Spaß machen" in the sense of "scherzen" aka making a joke. You teased someone and then you would say: Ich habe nur Spaß gemacht like I just teased you a bit or I meant it as a joke.
I don't usually like it when comedians touch on political or social issues, but I loved this! Yeah, get over it, have fun, and start trying to relate to each other in ways we understand! Well done man.
Comedians touching political and social issues is the best! Finding a nice funny way to highlight and talk about stuff is so much better than what people are doing on social media.
@@yashrohra394 yeah, but this wasn't it....he doesn't know his crowd...
“make fun!” 😀
I'm Japanese and Irish. One can hold their alcohol one gets drunk off a sip. Haha 😂 love this comedian.
I don't get how I'm Irish, German, and Native American, and I can't hold the fire water.
RyanPieerce5460...so, which course do you choose? Lol. Yours is a wonderfully unusual ethnic mix.
@TheJanWalker I'm American first but guess the Irish since I look more white. Im half and half. My mom is from Japan.
@ryanpierce5460 No, I meant: Are you the teetotaler or the pub hero? (You don't have to answer that. Lol.)
@@TheJanWalker haha I'm a light weight and can't drink
While the german joke was based on a not quite correct translation (as mentioned before), I can confirm that he nailed the german accent!!😄
I love you and your talent for real. So much material you had to prepare! And I respect you for not holding back. Comedians are afraid to be funny and make fun of everyone and themselves. Highest form of flattery- laughter. Pure happiness.
Noone says "make fun" in German.
When you say"have fun", WE say "much fun"(=viel Spaß).
And btw: i was Always impressed by how many sayings & phrases are litteraly the Same in english(its really a lot!!!) when i learned your language :)
Maybe he meant : es macht spass =it /something is fun.
@@luciaknuchel8199
Of making fun as in joking. When you teased someone and then would say: Ich habe nur Spaß gemacht.
I should say more often: making people laugh is the greatest talent and it's a blessing, Everytime I feel low, and life hits me hard on the head Drybar Comedy is where I go ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙌🙌🙌🙌
You are so funny I am almost ROFLOL. 😂😂😂. I love that idea of teaching broken English in accents. My son loves doing that with a Russian accent.
This guy is a natural. He's calmer than a cucumber! - and I've been trying to bring "Brody" back, too!
The best comedy is the character analysis of people groups.
I like this guy's humor. I can see him doing comedy movies.
Not too bad. I'd like to see more of him.😊
1:35 the fun tree killed me 🤣
I feel sooooo called out rn lmaoo😩. I have a friend from Chille who’s English has greatly improved since moving here but because her accent so thick when she first came here I would repeat what she said to me, HOW she said it to see if iI could feel the words she was saying. I never went full out with it but it went on for so long my voice automatically shifts around her and I don't even know if she would recognize my real voice 🙈
I lived in Germany for a few years and I know what he's saying about the Germans😅
How do you make thousands of people all the same…Germany has different kinds of people..just like every other place
@@sandrathompson1277 es geht um den Durchschnitt. Jeder weiß, dass man nicht einmal innerhalb einer Familie gleich ist. Es ist in Ordnung. 👍🏻
I was hanging with some brothers from Scotland. Could not understand a thing they said. So I asked them to talk like John Wayne. Problem solved.
Hanging with some brothers..do you realise..your English is terrible…at least the Scot’s pronounce the words correctly
I love seeing comics that are racially ambiguous confuse the hell out of a white audience. It's not the sort of race talk they're used to lol. We're all learning and experiencing; a beautiful thing.
It wasn't confusion. More a dude failing at being funny and using his (mixed) race as a crutch.
@@troycamboor your parents failing at raising you and using alcohol as a crutch.
@@troycambohe is hilarious and he is gonna get better. They write what you know….for a reason
It's totally correct to say "have fun" in German, too. If something "makes fun", it just means that it's a fun thing to do, and if someone "makes fun", it means they're not serious.
We should teach broken English in other people’s accents.
Dead!!!!!🤣🤣💀
Mai Ling for life! Killed me 😂😂😂😂 You don't mess with Asian grandmas.
Germans don't say "Mach Spaß". We actually say "Viel Spaß" which translates to "Lots of fun" and that is the shortened phrase for "Hab viel Spaß" which means "Have a lot of fun". Just wanted to clear that up 🙂
Appreciate you~
Jup!
I thought he got it confused with 'Es macht Spaß'.
@@user-rd6dh4hq1j Maybe 🤷♀️
Ok. In the words of Eddie Murphy, "I come from a predominately black family and I've been black all my life" but I've never heard ANYONE use the phrase "woo-woo."
It was comical and your impression of that "president" I will not name was spot on!
I'm Korean and Turkic so I relate!!!!
😂😂😂 Love it. He started the set like a punch in the gut. Risky risky and then started picking up.
Who else thought of the Jive scene from “Airplane” there at the end? 🕺🏾
Absolutely agree about culture and heritage! Racism comes from ignorance. Ignorance about different cultures.
Actually no. In some cases, racism comes from "getting to know cultures and cultural behavior" then you're like wow. You forced me to be racist because your culture acts like "this" (insert whatever behavior as an example). I don't think most people realize what racism really is. It's just a majority of a group of people acting a certain way....(mostly in a negative or disrespectful way that is harmful for other people) otherwise...there's really no reason to be racist/discriminatory against them. At least in this modern day age. Maybe there are still psychotic people who are actually racist for no reason. But as I said they are psychotic and mentally ill.
@alinaveprinsky8923 racism in and of itself is the belief that one race is superior to another. You can't say an entire race is bad due to the behaviors of a few people. There's good and bad in every shade of skin.
@alinaveprinsky8923. Racism is a disease of the ego. Prejudice comes from ignorance and fuels racism.
Most people are not harmful to most people.
Right out of the gate - hilarious!
Never ever have I heard the phrase Mach Spass... German here
Das macht Spaß.
Just listening to him I'm picturing Herr Wells from the flash series 😂😂
I learnt woo woo in the best way
My late grandpa loves keeping bamboo sticks around to keep us grandkids in check. You definitely have to wear long sleeves when you're in a public bathroom. LOL.
Some of the most seamless standup I've seen in recent memory.
The language stuff is priceless - and dead on! Very funny - looking forward to the woo woo, woo woo woo!
Love the German jokes baby, American that spent three years there, he nailed it!
The audience was not weak, they were accommodating by being very German and reserved :P (I'm German and ofcourse we have different audiences here lol)
"Das no yours homes" lol
I am German and the expression 'make fun' / 'mach Spaß' doesn't exist.
Besides that - you are good!
Nice to see more mixed race people especially comedians nowadays. I am Blasian.
Dude my family says I do the accent thing all the time. I'm multi accented
I learned German because of the following song lyric: "Coca-Cola, sometimes war."
So hilarious I'm already back for a re-watch
Hilarious! 😂 I'll watch again! (Someone forgot to wake up the audience)!
Oh! Thats my personal life quote. Its about the size of the fight in the dog. FANTASTIC show
More of this guy!
This was so good, I loved the German Fun Fruit Stealing part it was so funny! I laughed right out of my chair. XD Such a great show! Keep up the good work!
Great delivery much appreciate the laughs
I love his jokes, timing and delivery!
Did these people confuse a comedy club with a funeral home?
Don't give the government any ideas!😂
I’ll do my best!
I love humor. And ethnic humor has to be the best! (Well, other than politics maybe. LOL) PS... Good impression of Obama! LOL
I thought he was going to say, "The second half built the trains." But I think his version is funnier. :-)
Love your clean comedy!
Old Groucho- Went to a German Chinese restaurant- 1/2 hour later I was hungry for power.
I'm Black in VA, never heard the "woo woo" in life 😮. Super confused. He was funny until he got to the part he said the audience gets quiet on. Definitely, take their cues next time.
P.S.
If I caught this video in the middle and I weren't looking up, that first part of the Obama impression would've gotten me for sure!
If you love his take on the German language, and his attempt at an accent, you MUST watch the German comedian Flula Borg.
😂😂😂 "dats no yours homles"
I absolutely have to send this to my Chinese friends 🤣
OMG...Very funny China/German comedian. Can relate to your stories. Love you, Man. More power to you.❤❤❤
Amazing set! More of this :D
I literally watched this right after a video about Chinese restaurant in Berlin. Crazy.
Yessss .... That grandma was amaaaaaazing
This guy is coming up. Refining it. Good set. Only getting better.
Teach English in accents, brilliant!
Getting Out Of Costco by Scotty Goff, he had a really funny german joke!
His German accent is ON POINT 😂
I’m Chinese American and grew up in the south and identify with him fitting in with a white crowd vs a black crowd.
lololololol legit funny! And I think he's kinda cute! 😉
Creative routine.
I am German and I was so confused because I have never heard "mach Spaß" in my entire life... Is that some dialect, does anyone know?
It's 'Viel Spaß (dir/Ihnen)!' in High German which roughly translates to 'much fun (to you)'
This a character from Bob's Burgers that should be a special guest
😂😂😂😂😂😂 make fun! It doesn’t grow on trees! Germans know the meaning of the word “efficiency”.
I am a Chinese married to a German the last 30 years So pretty much 50/50 like you . But you are a comedian I get it! 😂👍
Have fun is the same in German. "Hab Spaß". "Spaß machen", make fun, is being fun.
But most people say viel spaß
@@truffled_one True, it's more a plural thing, "habt Spaß"
That was unexpectedly more fun that I thought it was going to be. Hillarious dudester
This guy is good at making fun.
Obama impression spot on
He is pretty funny. Like his style
German here, we don't say "mach Spaß". You can say "macht's Spaß" (short for "macht es Spaß" - does it make fun) when asking a question, but "have fun" would be "viel Spaß" (lotsa fun!). It's a shortened version of "hab viel Spaß" (have a lot of fun). Aka exactly what you'd say in English...
My mom was a 911dispatcher...her coworker answered a call to a heavily accented Asian woman who REALLY needed help. Unfortunately her location wasn't showing... (this is also WAY BACK)
She kept asking "what is your address" and the woman clearly didn't understand...
She finally said it again with the heaviest Asian accent
... Suddenly the woman completely understood and said it very clearly! 🤷🤣 it works. Haha
I'm black & have never heard of this "woo woo" thing. Maybe it's regional? I also don't say "finna" unironically & would appreciate if you don't say that to me. (Also, "broken English in other people's accents" already has a name: Pidgin.)
So funny!
Didnt think german even had a word for fun
viele Grüße aus Frankfurt, das stimmt, was du über die deutsche Sprache gesagt hast...we are exactly like that....
So funny!!! I guess most of the audience took the night off. He's great
