Hey, lucky you! You're in for a treat! They have a reputation of having brilliant stage sound, which I've witnessed once. But as it happens, I just bought two tickets to Riverside's concert this morning! I suddenly noticed they're coming to Helsinki next April. Me and my band-mate just have to be there. Have a great night with the Riverside!
Hello Jim, when Australia was "invaded" by the British, the britts didn't knew how to call their new founded town so they just took the name of their old town to remember the new one easily. You said you're going to see Riverside in Camden UK, my friends Sacha and Sherrie live in Camden Australia and again, very good music to wake up to in the morning
@@JimNewstead Hi Jim, well you didn't lie!! ;) It really was a treat!! I was able to have my new bought copy of Wasteland signed by the band after the show and chatted with each band member for a while . Happy me!! :D \m/
Saw them in Manchester, no spoilers but their light show is a major step on their previous standards. Sound was also excellent, Tomek the sound engineer knows his stuff. The drummers nickname is 'Meatloaf' btw. The band played impeccably as usual. Fingers crossed for a larger UK tour next year.
Hi Jim. Just checking setlist from their London concert. They've played some of their older stuff. Hope you enjoyed it? Setlist: Acid Rain Vale of Tears Reality Dream I Lament Out of Myself Second Life Syndrome (first part only) Left Out Guardian Angel Lost (Why Should I Be Frightened By a Hat?) The Struggle for Survival Forgotten Land Loose Heart Wasteland Encore: The Night Before 02 Panic Room River Down Below
Great song, great album. I'm jealous.....the first 3 albums are thematically linked( this is from the 3rd album). The radio clip at the end actually starts the first album 😉.You really need to get acquainted with the early stuff....just do it. You'll have no regrets! Cheers, have fun, it'll be awesome!
I had no idea what to expect from this band/song, and I was very pleasantly surprised. Thanks for bringing them to my attention, and I hope the show is phenomenal.
Jim Newstead, it was really good to meet you too. Loved the whole gig. It was a little bit different from what they were doing years ago but hey, it’s a different band now without Grudzień. I think I like this “new” Riverside :)

Old ass Rush fan , looking for something to help. Riverside... fantastic.

Camden is an area in London, lots of alternative lifestyles and trendy design agencies. And bars. And venues!
Thanks for uploading, Jim!! I didn't know this song until today. Now I'm addicted (and I'm gonna see Riverside in Utrecht NL, tonight!!!)
You're in for a treat! It's a great show.

Love Riverside. If you want a shorter proggy song from the same album check out Cybernetic Pillow

Please react to Deprived - Riverside, such an underrated song
Never heard these guys before, another supreme act!

That's fantastic, Jim! You'll have to give us a review of the concert when you can.
Orphaned Land - disciples of the sacred oath II. bonus info: Steven Wilson mixed the album, and here i quote Steven" the Israelish version of Opeth
Lunatic Soul - Pygmalion’s Ladder. You shall not regret it.
I think Riverside is basically a fantastic fusion of Steven Wilson and Tool.
Check out Lunatic Soul -Gutter.
They remind me a lot of Porcupine Tree and that's not a bad thing.
Steven Wilson - People Who Eat Darkness
Original guitarist from Quidam is playing now in Riverside.
Wow, have fun,
One of my favourite Riverside songs! Please give Cellar Darling a try, either Six Days or the new single, Insomnia.
❤❤❤❤
Nick Johnston - Remarkably Human worth checking out some time
Definitely! Guitar magician!
❤
Hello Jim,
The Butterfly Effect- Always 😉
Have a good night.
I thought about suggesting The Butterfly Effect as well.

rest in piece Piotr
R.i.p Piotr.
IQ road of bones please if you get a chance you really won't regret it
Great album!
Have fun :)
May I recommend As I Lay Dying - A Greater Foundation?
This is the first tour since 2013, in which they don't play Escalator Shrine live. You missed it!
See you there :)
Great gig, really good venue - shame about Escalator Shrine, but guess without Piotr wouldn't be the same. Good to meet you too buddy!!!

Please react to Elder - Sanctuary
Also Piotr RIP. No-one can recreate his guitar style.
Mariusz said they are starting at 19:20 in London. Don't be late ;)
Hey! Thanks for the top tip!
The thing with Rapid Eye Movement is that it was a rushed album. It's a good one, but lacks a lot for me and I think it also does for the band itself.
