The Hell March guy thing was actually figured out with quite some certainly a while ago, after someone actually dug into a bunch of military marching manuals. He found a very similar, but slightly longer marching command in a Canadian drill manual, and a former Canadian drill instructor chimed in in the comments saying that these commands indeed so get shortened occasionally, especially when doing parades. The final result of this research, which is very plausible since it's taken from a sample of marching soldiers, is:
*"Reform line, quick march!"*

Thank you so much, I will pin this here. Also I sent this to Frank Klepacki. I recently gave him a whole collection of my remakes and new songs dedicated or inspired by C&C, he is really proud of what he does for us.
I believe it is actually "B squadron, quick march", the reason it sounds odd is because the officer shouting the orders is French Canadian (so the 'R' of 'squadron' is pronounced the French way). Listen closely - now I can't hear anything except "B squadron" in a French accent.
@@Luke-tt3dt Listen to the full clips. The "On the center" is very clearly with an American accent. Not french at all.
C&C Red Alert was a huge thing when I was 11, everyone was talking about nothing else in school for weeks and weeks. My first actually bought game, because i had to have it on release day (my dad had to go buy it for me after work because it was rated 18). But our PC didn't even have a soundcard... So I saw the soundtrack in a record store and bought it with all my savings went home, played it, loved it. At some point hell march was playing and my mom walked by... totally shocked, asked if i was being influenced by some kind of fascist cult or something... i guess hell march indeed sounded kind of brutal for a 11 year old...
I was 8 when I first tried original C&C Red Alert from 90s. I tried both DOS and Windows 95/98 versions. Well, at that time, I did not listen to the soundtrack too, but the game was amazing, and it sure was like a mistery with many hidden things inside. I was thinking so when not yet joined the Internet, and then Internet changed my mind. In 2009, I was listening to a whole soundtrack of Red Alert for hours and hours. First Hell March, as well as its remixes and other versions, however, were not so memorable, but Main Menu Theme, Radio, Bigfoot, Floating, and other experimental, chilling, industrial sounds were so inspirational, that I remade them from scratch and even did few melodies in that style with the same approach, and I follow that approach even today! I am glad that Frank did some covers for the music of Red Alert together with Tiberian Sons.
Rated 18? Red Alert 1 was never rated 18 at all. I'm guessing that must've been "12 and over", not 18 lol.
Hehe. My mom had a fair bit of bad things to say about Mortal Kombat ("that violent game!"), but since she herself got introduced to Dune through the books, and played Dune II extensively, RTS had quickly earned its place in our household, and she never worried a bit about the C&C series games.
@@Nyerguds germany is very strict about rating of games. what is rated 12 in usa can be rated 18 in germany. there is even the possibility a game doesn't even get rated. that means it cannot be advertised. many games have a dedicated german version with reduced gore and without nazi symbols. publisher do this to mininimize the chance it doesn't get rated. the german version of red alert 1 had robots instead of soldiers and it was rated 18... insane i tell ya...
@@mojo3398 I checked the German wiki page of RA, and it said USK rating "16", not 18. I'm fairly sure the censorship was added exactly so it would _not_ get that 18+ rating.

Не могу не согласиться, ибо я лично с ним общался и брал интервью и советы по музыке. Замечательный человек, великий мужик, при этом шагает в ногу с модой, но даже в нынешних направлениях не боится экспериментов.
