I'd say the Ghastly/Beast Glider has the wrong unlock method. You'll need to get 5,000 coins to unlock it. The Golden Vehicle parts are accurate, but everything else is random. (I know that you know this)
I have B-Dasher... The reason most ppl have it is because its one of the fastest bodies in the game. FASTEST COMBINATION: Metal Mario, B-Dasher, Slicks.
It could be that it was the same with you with the golden parts, but I once had a save, I had earned the golden glider and the golden tires by collecting coins. But I had to delete the save, for whatever reason

I think you should have just showcased them, since you know they are unlocked in a random order (except for golden parts).
it actually randomly unlocks a kart part at each coin goal because i have over a 1000 coins but most of the cars under 1000 i dont have yet.

The parts you unlock are in RANDOM order, every coin amount gives you a wheel, body, or a glider for that matter.
