DAG was kinda like the Phil Hartman of In Living Color. He could narrate as a straightman, and also be very very funny.
Jim Carey was the Dana Carvey, if you will.

I just think they’re uncredited sometimes due to the mass just not realizing it. I’m sure this has happened to a lot of actors who hadn’t came up with their stage name yet

He also had a scene in a Dirty Harry movie -The Dead Pool -where he is supposed to be a hard rock lead singer. So he’s lipsyncing to “Welcome to the Jungle”! It is so bizarre. Obviously the producers of the movie had no idea the song would blow up at the time of filming or they were just idiots to choose a song so iconically linked to Axl Rose.

It's not as bad as when Dave Chappelle turned down the role for Bubba in Forrest Gump. He said he read the script and thought about how no one would want to see the movie because Forrest was a dumb man and the only one dumber than him was Bubba. Granted, if Tom Hanks didn't play Forrest, I don't think it would have done as well. I can't really see anyone else in that role.
Another painfully bad career move was when Will Smith turned down the role for Morpheus in the Matrix to star in the infamously unsuccessful Wild Wild West.
