I love the Esbit tabs. I have many that I bought over ten yrs ago and still work like new. They are difficult to light. I have found that the best way to light them is to use the Bic Jet Flame which is pressurized or the Bic extended light that has the tube extension about 1 1/2 inches longer than the top of the lighter. Both are only a few dollars. Both of these lighters also make it easy to start alcohol stoves, also. Additionally, when using the Esbit it is much more efficient to utilize a stove with a good wind block or a separate wind block sheet....even aluminum foil would work for this. Much more efficient than the open pot holder you used. Nice vid. I hate spiders!!!
@@walkerone9833 That little stand I used is no longer, it was too wobbly. I have an idea on how to make it better but haven't done it yet. Thanks for watching.
I like Esbit, sometimes tricky to start but they work good. If you've never used them before, they smell kind of fish. Coghlan's works but they smell worse, more sooty and don't but as nice as Esbit. Thanks for watching.

Well I guess this is why it is always good to try your camp meals at home first. I have a bit of a do not buy list myself. 😅
I was in the backyard, so no biggie there. If I was out hiking or something I was have finished it. Thanks for watching.
