Pole Fishing for Roach at Chester Lakes

This week, Chappy's Challange is back on Cadence Fishing TV. Chappy invited James to fish the beautiful Chester Lakes Fishery, the challenge, to catch 20lbs of Silverfish over four hours. A tall ask in mid-December when the weather is cold and the days are short. James is fishing on the South Bank of Eccleston Lake, one of the deeper areas on this prolific fishery at 11ft deep. The plan was to target roach on maggots and casters using the pole, and the video explains the best tactics and feeding required to target them on this method.

Lovely video again! Really do enjoy the Candence series on UA-cam. What does make me laugh is how the English fishers mix metric and imperial measurements. 6 meter pole, 11 feet deep, 3 once roach and 1 gram float. 😂

A great day's fishing. I think i would have put in a line to the right with hemp on the deck and double red maggot bet that would have brought a lot more of them quality roach. Anyway brilliant as always James's thanks

It's a pity they don't allow keep nets. If they allowed them just for silvers from September to March they'd sell a lot more tickets. You can't have a good net of roach if you haven't got a net!
