Is your artwork feeling boring? Not feeling inspired to take risks and let loose? I felt like this recently and it always helps me to try a new art supply medium! So I'm testing out a bunch of new art supplies: oil pastels, metallic watercolor paints, brush pens, mini watercolor palettes, and new watercolor paper! These supplies were really affordable and I was super impressed by the quality. I really loved doing some oil pastel drawings, something I haven't really done before. They helped me get out of a creative rut and make more interesting mark making and color choices. It also ignite that childlike excitement of coloring with crayons and really letting loose. I highly recommend trying it for yourself!

Super nice work on these out-of-your-comfort-zone pieces, especially the fly girl at the end with the Marie Antoinette hair, all of whose features you captured amazingly. It's like your process and these watercolor supplies were made for each other. Happy End of the Year!!
Those oil pastels look so good though! 😮 I have those papers and water brushes and they're great. I love that the metallic paints have such unique colours too ❤❤
Been using the Baohong watercolor paper for years now and I can definitely say it's my favorite!!!! It's thick and high quality just like other papers out there but it's soooooo inexpensive!!!! I even love it more than arches hahaha and arches is expensive lols
