Another thought on the manual valve body, Myer (Mer) also set me up with a B&M ratchet shifter mounted on a super solid pedestal (heck, I like it better than his Shorty's) with toggles on the shifter handle for both lockup and overdrive. There's also a manual exhaust brake push/pull activator switch mounted on the shifter base. Everything is right there and natural so it didn't take long to "get good at it". I couldn't dream up anything better. Huge shout out to Lows Fabrication for their traction bars. They look great and definitely stiffened up the rear end. There's zero bounce or flex. I'm super proud of "Mer" for the truck that he built me. It feels light on its feet, tows like champ, and goes like a "bat outa hell". Love it! Thank you soooo much "Mer".
It's a bad a__ sleeper for sure! Love the way its set up. I'm currently working on a 01 24v that I'm P Pumping, compounding and seeing yours is very motivational. All I'm missing is a visit from "Mer" to Tampa FL for a weekend to put it together! Nice truck.

Where do you jack the truck up? Are the traction bars strong enough to handle a jack in driveway at an angle or side the road "flat tire jacking" point for average person ? Would you put a block of wood with holes for the axle bolts ?

My problem with bars like that on a working truck are that when loaded because they fail to follow the natural arc of the rear axle they tend to bind and produce a noticeably stiffer ride. The Kelderman 4 link is a cure for that while maintaining axle control. 🙂
I see your point, but he's also got air bags, so the truck sits at the same height regardless how much he's hauling. 👍
That kelderman air ride looks like a tinker toy. You’ll never catch me in that death trap.
@@horsetorquesdiesel I know 2 hot shots with them they both are over 400kmiles with them and I am not aware of any issues they have had with them besides the bushings wearing out. I have only ever heard both of them say they liked the 4 link full air ride setup for sitting in the truck hours on end day after day. I doubt either of them is over 400hp though so maybe with more power they would see some breakage? I am going to use a semi truck 4 link on my truck build as it’s a lot cheaper and parts readily available across the us in case of a problem.

I have such bad luck using a mig welder with any thing automotive. I did some frame repair few years ago with my mig. I cracked right away. I then fixed it with my tig welder . No cracking since.
I prefer tig now too but most of my sled pull stuff is mig

Those are nice looking traction bars. Some would suggest to not re-use the ubolts. I typically do re-use them if they are still long enough.

I really wish I had not cheaped out and only bought the 425HP tow/tuner trans and K27. Although gives me an excuse to keep the 12V mild and buy an 05 CR to compound.

Add never seize to the treads and grease to the rod ends. Remember if you have an exhaust brake and you use lockup to slow down, it will pull backwards on the parts so weld it good.

Does it have something to do with consistent line pressure? No boost valve just straight up whatever you set it at and its that psi every shift ?

Get your u bolts from a spring shop or a truck parts company. But having it on the shelf at a car parts store lol.

Where did you route the valve cover vents?
To the factory location, it doesn't slobber at all so it doesn't really matter.
How do you size for triples? I know it’s gonna be a lot of air going in but I wanna try triples just to say “I got triples”
What power level? Realistically you just grab 3 of the same size turbos then sprinkle in a little knowledge and experience to fine tune housing/wheel sizes.
