Yep very Kool! Have a lot to learn about putting a engine together. Have the block ready just need to get the springs cam and lifters to start putting the engine together. 👍
Spending time with the kids is more important than YT time !!! Holley has a Christmas sale. So I just ordered the electric fuel pump for the new gas tank in my Demon, same as your Duster, along with that pressure gauge regulator for up under the hood. 👍 Thanks for sharing that. I wouldn’t have noticed that on my own. Happy Holidays to you & your family. 🎄👍
That is going to be a strong runner! The 750 carb is a good base to start with! As you know you will be changing jets and tuning the carb and timing for the best vacuum signal! You are right about how cleaning takes most of the time! But it is z necessary evil! Lol at least you have an Ultrasonic cleaner! Good job!
I can't think of a better way to spend a cold winter than wrenching in a warm shop! Looks like fun Cley! Curious what your cleaning fluid is in your ultrasonic cleaner? I've been considering getting one. Glad to hear you have a good experience with one.
Most recently I have been using a Zep concentrated citrus cleaner from Canadian Tire. It works great but should be mixed stronger than the jug suggests!
Coming together. I like the idea of reusing whatever you can (including cam and lifters) for the obvious reason of saving $, but there is no doubt in my mind that the parts in the motor are much better than the garbage chinesium crap you buy now.
Question, what valve springs you using with the cam and lift it has? Do you have enough clearance before coil bind also between valve guide and retainers?

I have valve springs from Hughes. It all works out without modifying the heads. More on that in a future video.
