proud to be a tamizhian. Malayalam, daughter of tamizh and her mother tamizh both are still alive but Sanskrit's children r alive but mother died so Sanskrit is. a dead language
Tamil and malayalam evolved from proto dravidian language the present day existing tamil is not mother to malayalam they are just cousins
Malayalam is not daughter of tamizh as you know. Thamizhakam had a protodravidian language which probably had different forms of existence in numerous lands and evolved into various languages of south India.

Approximately 9 minutes into this video, Dr. Rajashekaran strikes a blow(figuratively) to some Indian christians by saying that there is no clear evidence that St. Thomas "brought" Christianity to India like some of the Syro Malabar Bishops and priests have been claiming. To add some practical thoughts to that point, average life expectancy in Kerala even in the 1950's were around 50yrs for a man. For St. Thomas to travel from the middle east to Kerala at that time (AD 52) would have taken many months, then having to learn the native language fluently enough to convince & convert huge number of people into Christianity (during one man's life time) is harder to believe without clear evidence. It is more probable as the Dr. said, the group of families (400+ people) who migrated to Kerala in AD345 under the leadership of Kanai Thomas and their subsequent generations spread their religion (Christianity) to Kerala over many years, especially when there is evidence pointing to that. The hatred and intolerance within different Christian groups especially within the Syro Malabar Church is clearly evident when their Bishops dismiss the evidence of the arrival of Kanai Thomas who most likely brought Christianity to shores of now Kerala.
My recommendation for you is, to study a clear History of Malayalakkara.. It is not like closing your and saying.. Veluthathellam Paalu..!!
Do not forget the Mother of Malayalam..!!

Malayalam script is developed only in the 17th century..My dear friend.. All the old scripts were from Thamizh and what ever Manuscript found over Cheralam had only Thamizh scripts.. You can dig up to 3rd BCE.. Ningalellam Kudiyerigal.. Cheralam kidiyettathinte nadalle!! Malayalam is the name of the region not the language.. You have only up to 300 to 400 years of history.. that's why you are not sure about your routes.. Mr Kudiyeri..

Excellent..!! But what ever old lyrics he is showing is not Malayalam, it is Tamil. Malayalam has lost its unique identity by adopting Sanskrit.!! After slow Sanskrit poison injected to Malayalam, it has lost its Tamil identity and turned in to new language SansMala. !!
Your language also has Sanskrit influence and just because your are unaware or ignorant doesn't meant that it doesn't. All the main dravidian languages are influenced by sanskrit since known literary history.
Nithin90 .. I agree your point.. But you can very well write or talk Thamizh with out the influence of Sanskrit.. We can very well differentiate Thamizh language from Aryan's mixture.. There are millions of unique words still used and we can refer from its old legacy.. Because of Hinduism the language has destroyed and been destroying..!!
How ridiculous! There is not even a non-sanskrit word for the colour Blue. There are non-sanskrit unique words in all the Dravidian languages including Malayalam consisting of more than 90,000 words.
