Hi everyone, here’s my first comprehensive travel video on Slovakia. I was frankly surprised how much there is to do and see in Bratislava. It’s an amazing and beautiful city and definitely worth a visit if you get a chance. Hope you enjoy this week’s city travel guide and wish you a great week 👍🌺
@@valentinchiriac9117 Unfortunately, car manufacturers in Slovakia are French, German, Korean, Indian and therefore only a minimum of money goes into the Slovak economy.
I am Slovak-Canadian. I know Prague, Karlovy Vary, České Budějovice and Telč and Český Krumlovare are most beautiful than Bratislava and towns in Slovakia! I want Czechoslovakia back!!!💌
Hi, I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your report on Bratislava, I will be visiting there myself next month and am now even more excited about my trip than before. Thank you Nette
Thank you Nette! If you’re planning to stay in Slovakia for a bit, make sure to also check out my other Slovakia videos. It’s a beautiful country. Happy travels!
Janus, this was a magnificent, superlative video and the best I have ever seen on Bratislava. Excellent voice over technique with just the right amount of information required. Superb drone footage which makes for great videos. Really looking forward to the rest of your series on Slovakia.
Thank you so much Richard, I really appreciate. Slovakia is an amazing country to travel to. Stay tuned for my other videos where I will explore the various regions 👍
I am from Serbia, and feel free to like your comment, ,, little-big “ country….. It’s so beautiful, people that I know from Slovakia are so good and friendly If spelled separately Brat I Slava in Serbian means Brother and Glory ( symbolic and accurate) 💐
we decided to include this city on our central europe tour from germany austria slovakia and chezch. of all the cities we went bratislava was the worst of all . the city shops closes around 6-8 pm and the clubs were closed.. the food where not great but ita cheap. and most people there are rude to foreigners specially to asian people.. hope those travelling will keep this advice in mind.. stay safe everyone
This is the most beautiful and very detailed travel video about Bratislava I've ever seen. It's a long video but we got many useful infos and tipps! Very enjoyable to watch so many beautiful places there:) Sadly I've never been to Slovakia. I think, Slovakia is often overlooked by many people and travel vloggers who travel around Europe. Thanks Janus for always inspiring us with NEW travel destination and many useful, helpful tipps! See you in the next premiere of Slovakia videos 😊 Ah btw, is it easy to find affordable accommodation there?
Thank you Dina, this one took me a while to put together 😅 Yes, there are quite some options for accommodation and Bratislava is definitely more affordable to stay at than for example neighboring Vienna. I hope you get a chance to visit someday 👍
Thanks for a wonderful introduction to Bratislava. It brought back memories of the day trip from Vienna I made there a few years ago. I really want to go back after seeing your video to visit the sites along the Danube that I did not get to last time.
Thank you very much Ulrod! Really appreciate. It’s an amazing big city. Feel free to also check out my new videos on the rest of beautiful Slovakia 🇸🇰👍
The channel, Hybrid Shooter lives here. I always want him to take some shots of the famous cafe in B. that looks more like a cathedral inside than a cafe. Cafe Kormuth. Rick Steves has a piece on it on y.t. Amazing inside.
If you are short on time and want to explore three countries, you can follow the triangle Vienna-Bratislava-Brno. That way, you will see three important cultural centers of three Central European countries that used to be at the center of the former Austro-Hungarian empire. Everything is easily reached by frequently available trains and the travel times between the cities is around one hour.
Thanks so much Barbara! I thought so too, I was amazed about how much there is to see and do in Bratislava. Definitely worth a trip when one has the chance to visit 👍😊🌺
Don't really know if the temperature range during summer still stands. Frankly, the summer in Slovakia can get pretty hot. The temperature can go as high as 38. There are weeks when the temperature doesn't go under 33-35 during day and streets can get pretty hot.
@@januslog I remember this year we had 25 during night for like a week straight, it was pretty brutal. But then again it depends where you are. In central and north parts you certainly won't have such temperatures but still above 30 for sure. The weather here has changed so much during past 20 years.
*"If you're, mentally fit, hungry to learn and be better, i urge you to travel - as far and as widely as possible. Sleep on floors if you have to. Find out how other people live and eat and cook. Learn from them - wherever you go"* 🥂🙂💞

Marvelous video like usually. So beautiful. Much effort put into it! ....... The idea crossed my mind, if you like: you can make another chanell called “ Travel highlights” in which you would put about 6 min of the most atractive views, without comentary, and saying at the begining or end, how there is a link to full video down in the description. In such way you habe two chanels out of the same effort , and that can capture viewers from one to another. ..... Happy New Year and a lot of travel .
Many thanks Ksenija, that’s a really interesting idea. Might indeed help with getting more viewers 😅👍 Wishing you a great year 2022 too - where I will showcase many new travel destinations
Very nice video about Bratislava Slovakia (also Czechia) is geographically Central Europe, the eastern Europe is only Ukraine, the neighbouring country of Slovakia. Slovakia, then still Czechoslovakia, was part of the Eastern Bloc of the Soviet Union after World War II, along with the Polish Baltic States, the Balkans and half of Germany, including half of Berlin. Slovakia was never eastern Europe if at most part of the Eastern Bloc of the USSR but still geographically it was and is central Europe. Bridge SNP is in the category of suspension bridges with one suspension pylon and one suspension plane he is awarded 1st place BUT during the construction of the SNP bridge, part of the Old Town was destroyed. For example, Rybné Square, the sub-castle and the Jewish quarter fell victim. A synagogue and a bourgeois brewery were also destroyed I recommend that when you are at Devín castle, next to the castle there is Gate of Freedom (Memorial to the victims of totalitarianism) and a short walk to the Sandberg. he view from the top of the Sandberg offers beautiful panorama on the landscape around Bratislava. If you look to the south, you can clearly see Devín Castle and Braunsberg and further in the background the Hainburg Mountains. PLUS recommend downloading the IDS Bk APP, where you can buy all types of tickets for public transport or in public transport (bus trolleybus) you can also buy a ticket with a credit card. OR ONE-DAY DIAMETER VINTAGE (24.3.2024) ELECTRONIC VIGNETTE PAYMENT eznamka.sk/selfcare/purchase
That would be quite difficult unless you really rush through. You can cover the places in the city center in a day if you start early. But for the rest I suggest staying overnight.
Very nicely shot and edited video. Unfortunately, nothing more positive can be added. The classic choice of an ordinary tourist, which is recommended by 90% of hikers or tourist guides who are paid for it as advertising. At the same time, we have so many other beautiful and interesting places. It is a pity ...
My advice is "do not go to this place", the taxi drivers will scam tourists every chance they get, especially at the airport, by law, taxi drivers do not even to have a taxi meter in their vehicle. The bus drivers have the manners of an ape and the default attitude in most of the shops is "couldn't care less". Never mind the trendy music on this promo, avoid.
Thank you for watching Patrick . Experiences are always very subjective and luckily I did not encounter these issues when I was there. I do want to clarify that there are no “promo” videos on my channel. Nobody pays me for any of the videos and all opinions stated reflect purely my own subjective views. Happy travels
