The Reggie scene is classic. Michael Bay found the kid who played Reggie on a local basketball court. He went to Martin and Will and told them to be extra rude to the kid if they bumped into him off set, so the kid was extra nervous. He also didn't mention Will having a gun in the scene, so Reggie's reaction to them was completely genuine. Bad Boys For Life is another great chapter.

On the flipside of the coin the character of Mike Lowrey was way too dominant. My guess is that partially the reason for that was that the actor who plays Mike Lowrey - known to the masses as Will Smith - had become one of the most powerful men in Hollywood between the 1995 and this movie. My brother when my daughter was born said we were going to do the skit that Will & Martin did with the daughters boyfriend when my daughter starts to date. Anyone that is like Martins character and has a partner like Will would definitely need to carry a gallon of Pepto with them. There was a tv series called “LA’s Finest” that is a spin-off of the “Bad Boys” franchise. It follows Sydney Burnett (Martin’s sister in the movie). Tapia’s mansion in Cuba was a real mansion that they blew up. The owner advertised for a movie company to come in and destroy it. All that was left was the swimming pool.
Lots of people love that Reggie scene, which makes Roger Ebert's review of the movie especially hilarious: "There is an ugly scene in 'Bad Boys II' that I want to tell you about. A cop played by Martin Lawrence is alarmed that his 15-year-old daughter is going out on her first date. We see the girl, pretty and hopeful in her new dress, being fussed over by her mother. The doorbell rings, and Lawrence opens it to confront her date, a nervous 15-year-old boy, tall and thin, neatly dressed. Marcus and his partner (Will Smith) intimidate the boy without mercy. He is threatened with the unspeakable if he lays a hand on the girl. They demand to know if he is a virgin. They slap him with the N-word. At one point a gun is pulled on him. 'Ever had sex with a man?' Smith asks. Then with a leer: 'Want to?' The boy is terrified. The needless cruelty of this scene took me out of the movie and into the minds of its makers. What were they thinking? Have they so lost touch with human nature that they think audiences will like this scene? Do they think it's funny? Did the actors voice any objections? It's the job of the producer to keep a film on track; did Jerry Bruckheimer notice anything distasteful? Or is it possible that everyone connected with the film has become so desensitized by the relentless cynical aggression of movies like this that the scene passed without comment?" 28:45 is actually taken directly from Jackie Chan's Police Story (1985). Ebert was a fan of JC's, but was evidently unaware of the connection: "...What happens next is kind of sickening. The Hummer speeds down a hillside entirely covered by the tarpaper shanties of poor people. Walls and roofs, doors and windows, dogs and chickens, corrugated iron and curtains, all fly into the air as the Hummer cuts a swath through this settlement. And I'm thinking, people live there. There's a quick mention that drug production takes place on the hillside, but still: Dozens of poor shantytown dwellers must have been killed, not that the movie notices. There was once a time when a hero would sacrifice his own life rather than injure innocent bystanders. No longer. The heroes of 'Bad Boys II' are egotistical monsters, concerned only with their power, their one-liners, their weapons, their cars, their desires. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised that characters who wipe out a village can also make cruel jokes at the expense of a kid on his first date. Everybody involved in this project needs to do some community service."
This is the best movie out of the series. It was amazing to watch this in the cinema when it was first released, the cars looked like they were coming right at you. Lol, the audience were dodging for the cars. Martin Lawrence is so funny. The 3rd movie is ok, but the 2nd movie will remain the best
I've been waiting for this one. Such a great movie. The third one (Bad Boys for Life) is great, too. A much more personal story for Mike though. Context for Mike getting sent to therapy "after shooting all them people at the airport.": He's referring to the shootout in the hangar in the finale of the first movie. Probably. Unless shooting people at airports happens a lot as a narcotics cop.
I'm a stuntman myself and this is some really sick shit that I would looove to do some day...action wise. Cool as fuck movie. Funny, action as hell and charisma too. Love these guys in this😎🤟😁🙌

Hadn’t really thought about it before watching your reaction. But if someone said pick any movie to watch it would probably be this.
Fun fact: For the freeway chase scene they only had ONE Porsche to work with so all the stunt driving had to be done EXTRA CAUTIOUSLY because if the car took any damage production had to be halted to fix the car, which was expensive it of itself..............and such incident DID HAPPEN!!! If you look it up you can see a dashcam shot of the car driving through the wreckage and miss a mark and take damage.......then you can hear Michael Bay in the background absolutely pissed off cursing up a storm!!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂
Y’all reacted to ONE of the top 10 funniest movies ever! Also need to do these if you haven’t yet: the hangover, Pain and Gain, Lethal Weapon 4, and Old School. 😂
7:03 Will Smith is referring to all the people he killed at the airport in the climax of the first film. Like you said though, we could all do with that kind of therapy, LOL. Great film and great reaction. Thanks, guys...! 👍🏻
Love you guys finally reacted to this one honestly they in my opinion outdid themselves with this one such good action and comedy they are one hell of a duo and fun fact Megan foxx is actually in this movie the club sense where they are begging the pills she is dancing but you don’t notice her lol and Reggie had no idea what he was doing his reaction to the gun and everything was REAL amazing lmao love you guys and the reaction
You guys should check out Elvis, the movie! It’s turned me into a massive fan of not only Austin Butler but also Elvis! And there’s so much I’ve learned about Elvis and his connection with black culture!
that silver Ferrari was handled on set by everyone involved in the chase with EXTREME CARE, they did takes under strict supervision, and Will Smith practiced several times before getting behind the wheel for his money shot. the car was delivered in pristine condition every time, UNTIL Martin Lawrence opened the door and bumped it against a post. yeah... that Ferrari was scratched, by Lawrence, doing absolutely nothing, after having gone through cinematographic hell. you can imagine the smoking he got for that.
I fucking love this movie. It’s like a perfect movie to me. Fun seeing you guyses first watch. Have inspired me to watch put it on after this vid. Pretty sure this is the only movie I’ve ever seen more than once in the theater
And just to think Jon Lovett and Dana Carvey were supposed to be the original Bad Boys. But Martin got ahold of the script and was to find someone to be in the movie with him and Martin's sister suggested Will.
You should do the third. For more Michael Bay I'm gonna recommend Pain & Gain & Ambulance. I've never seen someone react to it so I'm gonna suggest The Rundown with The Rock. I think it's one of the most underrated action comedies from the early 2000's. Also Police Story with Jackie Chan since bad boys 2 just lifted that incredible set piece of the hummer driving through the drug dens from it...& If you start on Police Story maybe you'll get to Supercop
I like pain and gain, great soundtrack, cool and funny one liners, do you know the same writers did that also did infinity war and endgame and civil war?
@@ozzybloke-craig3690 If everyone stopped watching films because someone on the cast did something shitty, then we'd have very few things to watch. And it isn't like the man killed anyone, he slapped someone.

Or is it possible that everyone connected with the film has become so desensitized by the relentless cynical aggression of movies like this that the scene passed without comment?"
28:45 is actually taken directly from Jackie Chan's Police Story (1985). Ebert was a fan of JC's, but was evidently unaware of the connection:
"...What happens next is kind of sickening.
The Tv store scene is a classic comedy gold.
Blue Streak, Nothing To Lose, Big Mama's House & National Security are other classic movies starring Martin Lawrence.
You guys CUT the car flipping over them? Aw man! That's the best part!
Let’s see the Bad Boys For Life reaction next
Definitely! Good shout! 😂👍🏼
The Best Bad Boys Movie Of The Franchise
This is the best movie out of the series. It was amazing to watch this in the cinema when it was first released, the cars looked like they were coming right at you. Lol, the audience were dodging for the cars. Martin Lawrence is so funny.
The 3rd movie is ok, but the 2nd movie will remain the best
I remember going to see BB3 and a mate came along who already seen it. He wanted to see my expression when I saw this 1 scene. He said it was great!
The part that crack me up the most was" this is a nice fish, big f****** eyes but a nice f****** fish
Love these guys in this😎🤟😁🙌
This is probably my favourite movie ever. Plenty of other awesome movies. But this perfectly does action and comedy. A bit cheesy sometimes but I think it’s on purpose. Hadn’t really thought about it before watching your reaction. But if someone said pick any movie to watch it would probably be this.
Man it’s been years since I’ve seen this I’d forgotten so much of it but Reggie lives rent free in my brain
The Equalizer with Denzel Washington is a great movie you guys should check out
Fun fact: For the freeway chase scene they only had ONE Porsche to work with so all the stunt driving had to be done EXTRA CAUTIOUSLY because if the car took any damage production had to be halted to fix the car, which was expensive it of itself..............and such incident DID HAPPEN!!! If you look it up you can see a dashcam shot of the car driving through the wreckage and miss a mark and take damage.......then you can hear Michael Bay in the background absolutely pissed off cursing up a storm!!! 🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣😂
Now you have to finish the trilogy and see bad boys for life after this one
Y’all reacted to ONE of the top 10 funniest movies ever! Also need to do these if you haven’t yet: the hangover, Pain and Gain, Lethal Weapon 4, and Old School. 😂
7:03 Will Smith is referring to all the people he killed at the airport in the climax of the first film.
Like you said though, we could all do with that kind of therapy, LOL.
Great film and great reaction. Thanks, guys...! 👍🏻
“I don’t know NAH-TING!!” 😂 my friends and I use nah-ting all the time.
Now it's time to watch Good Boys.
I snuck into the movies to see this masterpiece lol
Legend
The Reggie scene and the "F***ing Haitians in a f***ing little-ass room with f***ing guns!" scenes 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Michael Bay
Michael Bay'd THE FUCK outta Bad Boys 2!!!
Damn near from start to finish!
Recommendation for you to react: Dawn of the Dead (2004), this movie is excellent and brutal.
Loved it! One more to go “Bad Boys for Life”
You guys should check out Elvis, the movie! It’s turned me into a massive fan of not only Austin Butler but also Elvis! And there’s so much I’ve learned about Elvis and his connection with black culture!
Great reaction. One of my favorite movies. This is my favorite franchise. I'm waiting for bad boys 4 this June 7th.
that silver Ferrari was handled on set by everyone involved in the chase with EXTREME CARE, they did takes under strict supervision, and Will Smith practiced several times before getting behind the wheel for his money shot.
the car was delivered in pristine condition every time, UNTIL Martin Lawrence opened the door and bumped it against a post.
yeah... that Ferrari was scratched, by Lawrence, doing absolutely nothing, after having gone through cinematographic hell.
you can imagine the smoking he got for that.
"aw man wha wha ..what are you doing maaaan? shoot outside! pay attention to what you're doing!"
The pool scene is funny because you can clearly see the stunt double lol
This movie is why I like the Hummer H2
No. They should not be supporting Will Slap you in the face cuz my wife looked at me angrily Smith. He was cancelled snd rightfully so.
@@ozzybloke-craig3690 said who?
I like pain and gain, great soundtrack, cool and funny one liners, do you know the same writers did that also did infinity war and endgame and civil war?
@@ozzybloke-craig3690 If everyone stopped watching films because someone on the cast did something shitty, then we'd have very few things to watch. And it isn't like the man killed anyone, he slapped someone.
