Personally I prefer Pokémon ORAS over HGSS. Partially because, purely as a remake, ORAS does more then HGSS, and partially because my own experience playing Heart Gold was kinda soured. Guess that's what you get for trying to play a Pokémon game that doesn't get translated into your own language before you've learned English.
The Legend of Zelda Link's Awakening was one of mine I know it was part of its charm(only 2 buttons for all items and weapons) but I loved the majorly improved management of your items and weapons.
SMRPG was definitely the biggest most pleasant surprise Nintendo has ever done! Hopefully they capitalize on this and give us the sequel we've always wanted to see
I got one, Mario 64 DS, despite the how weird the DS is, the game actually improves it's graphics, better camera angles, when on the 3DS, you can use the circle pad to control the character, not only that, multiplayer, more levels, more stars, and at least Mario is less likely to skid unlike the original on the N64
I enjoyed both versions but OmegaRuby is definitely my favorite and I agree cause If you wanted to complete the Pokédex you had to do so so much online trading. but online servers will be sadly closed down for the 3DS next year in April…
Technically, Xenoblade 1 Definitive Edition IS a remake as the original came out on the Wii Plus everything got redone in Xenoblade 2's engine, it's NOT just a slight touch up like most remasters So yeah, it should count on the list
Not everything. They used the original game's source code. For a remake, everything needs to be rebuilt from the ground up. That being said, Ocarina of Time 3D shouldn't be on this list since it did use the original source code and is more of an enhanced port than a remake. Majora's Mask 3D IS a remake though and could have taken OoT3D's spot on the list.
I WILL NOT FORGIVE NINTENDO FOR REMOVING THE 3DS & WII U TITLES FROM DIGITAL STORES! NOT WITHOUT A PROPER VIRTUAL CONSOLE FEATURE JUST LIKE THE TIME OF 7TH & 8TH GENERATION! SOMETHING THAT THE SWITCH DO NOT HAVE WHICH IS WHY IT FELT LIKE A STEP BACKWARDS!
Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time was the first game I played for the Legend of Zelda series, and I feel in love with it. The remake only made me love the game even more, out of all the Zelda games, ocarina of Time is still my favorite.
I would consider Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver to be one of the best remakes from Nintendo. Plus I didn't play the original games. Star Fox 64 3D was one of my first Nintendo 3DS games and really felt like the original game in every way. I'm not surprised to see Ocarina of Time 3D but I think Majora's Mask 3D should have been mentioned.
I can think of other Nintendo remakes that should be in this top 10 list like Super Mario 64 DS, Kirby Return to Dreamland DX, Metroid Zero Mission, Pokemon ORAS and Link's Awakening. I think the worst offender on this list is Star Fox 64 3D since it barely altered much from the original game apart from some gameplay tweaks, the graphics and the ability to play any level at your leisure.
No gaming company I know does remakes better than Nintendo. Xbox and PlayStation will sit on dormant legacy IPs for decades and when they finally decide to do something with them, it’s usually half-assed minimalist. You can tell that Nintendo (for the most part) genuinely cares about its legacy IPs, and probably 80-90% of remakes they do are widely accepted and adored by fans/players (except for Diddy Kong Racing DS and Pokémon BDSP).
Now we'll just have to see how well Thousand-Year Door's remake will fair. Though I am surprised Super Mario 64 DS wasn't considered. (I'd argue said N64 game's remake was really not bad at all despite its camera controls and lack of an analog stick)
I new Echoes was going to be the choice for the Fire Emblem remake (Though Shadow Dragon is pretty cool and New Mystery of the Emblem was an underrated Japan only master-piece). Samus Returns also easily deserved to be really high up as did Super Mario RPG remake.
In my opinion, the TTYD remake for the Switch is one of the best. I had never gotten to play the original, so I was thrilled to find out it was coming to the Switch. I love the story, and it looks amazing. It would’ve been nice if you made this video after its release, but that’s okay.
My favourite remake is Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Because I founded amazing compared to original version and I can play this game all day long. I was just never stop playing this game! And also this is one of my favourite game of all time! 😁😁😁😁😁
I bought that game for the Switch, on sale during the holidays, and still have yet to play it. I can't wait to play it. The splatfest is in the way at the moment lol.
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Back in the mid-80s, I played Super Mario on Nintendo for the first time at my friend's house. I wasn't too impressed with its graphic and game play, but my friend showed me quite a number of hidden things in game. I was surprised then, because as an Atari 2600 (and 5200) fan, I don't remember seeing hidden features in video games before. I thought that was an interesting game to play, and 38 years later Super Mario still rocks..!! 🤣
The Best Epic Nintendo Remake Games I Absolutely Love throughout the years are *Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Story, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Star Fox 64 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D & Majora's Mask 3D, Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver, Super Mario RPG Remake, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shiny Pearl, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 64 DS* are all of THE Best Epic Nintendo Remake Games I've ever played throughout the years.
How was Zero Mission not here? I love Samus Returns but Zero Mission deserves a spot way more imo. It not only brought new visuals and music but also added to the story and created the now iconic zero suit

For your next top 10 video can you do Nintendo Game or Mario Game plot twists or things about Nintendo or Mario that will ruin your childhood or even Nintendo or Mario scandals!!!! Keep the remakes going Nintendo and I hope to see whats next.
Honorable mention: Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA): What makes this game good is the soundtrack by David Wise himself, which he didn't do on the original SNES version.
Remastered means updated graphics/sounds with maybe an added gameplay gimmick. Remake means it was fully built from the ground up as an entirely new game. Think the new Resident Evil 4 vs the Metal Gear Solid Volume 1 Collection.
My favorite Nintendo remake is super Mario RPG that this game is more wonderful and a masterpiece than the original super Mario RPG and this video is wonderful

Pokémon HGSS and ORAS
My number one pick: Super Mario 64 DS.
Amen, brother!

I agree the Super Mario RPG remake was awesome, still have my cartridge from when I was growing up
The World needs more Mario & Luigi RPG Games. Super Star Saga & Partners in Time were 2 of Mario's Best Games.
Bowser's Inside Story was great, too. I can see why it's considered the best of the Mario and Luigi RPGs.
Samus Returns was my first Metroid game, and I'm glad it was, can't wait to see what they inevitably do with Super Metroid.
How is link’s awakening not even a honorable mention??
Becuase they probably thought it was a remaster given they thought OoT3D was a remake.
I think Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby are Nintendos best remakes.
Agreed. Those games were so fun
What are those? Are those Pokémon games with more than 251 Pokémon? If so, MEH…
Meh, too much water.
I enjoyed both versions but OmegaRuby is definitely my favorite and I agree cause If you wanted to complete the Pokédex you had to do so so much online trading. but online servers will be sadly closed down for the 3DS next year in April…
firered leafgreen is up there!

Nintendo really know how to make fantastic video game remakes.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not always. Take Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl for example.
@@MarioFanXXL
I like that game, but not better than the original.
Star Fox 64 3D always looked really good, but I could never get into it because they cut the first person mode which was always how I played the OG.
Star Fox 64 3D and Ocarina of Time 3D are remasters. They do the exact same thing as Metroid Prime Remastered.
I'm surprised Zelda: link's awakening and mario and luigi: bowser's inside story + bowser jr's journey weren't on here.
GLAD THAT THEY BROUGHT BACK SUPER MARIO RPG!
Super Mario All Stars was my childhood. I don't think I could finish these games without a save feature. Majora's Mask 3D should be on here.
Fire emblem echoes was my first game of this franchise, and it's the best to get into the series. I love it so damn much!
i played Gaiden Translated back in 1998 on emulation. Been hooked on the series since
Awakening was my first but SoV is my favorite.
Nintendo really does make some great remakes!
I loved Super Mario Advance 4 with the E-Reader Levels!
I had to hack those in.
Superstar Saga DX is one of my favorite Nintendo games of all time. And I'm hyped to play Mario RPG. I've never played it before.

OoT was my first as well and still my favourite. If they released the remake on Switch I'd definitely get it.
OOT3D was a remaster, not a remake!
Majora's Mask 3D was pretty good and I would dare say superior to the 64 version if it wasn't for one thing: the 3D version messed up Zora Link.
GLAD THAT SUPER MARIO RPG GOT A REMAKE!
What, no mention of the Link’s Awakening Switch remake? Shame on you, Watch Mojo!
Woah! Take it easy! One game per series! That’s just how they roll. Variety. Ocarina of Time just took the spot for being a better game overall.
🎮💖 Nintendo remakes are indeed a gaming treasure!
No gaming company I know does remakes better than Nintendo. Xbox and PlayStation will sit on dormant legacy IPs for decades and when they finally decide to do something with them, it’s usually half-assed minimalist. Here's hoping TTYD remake will live up to the original.
No Majora's Mask or Link's Awakening?!? Crazy stuff
MM is a remaster. But then, so was OOT.
Agree with #1, done perfectly, left basic gameplay alone and only added enough new content to make it interesting.
I’m surprised that Super Mario RPG dethrones Pokemon HGSS. 😳
I new Echoes was going to be the choice for the Fire Emblem remake (Though Shadow Dragon is pretty cool and New Mystery of the Emblem was an underrated Japan only master-piece). Samus Returns also easily deserved to be really high up as did Super Mario RPG remake.
If this came out in the far future, then TTYD remake would be number one.
I would have put Pokémon ORAS above HGSS. That was peak Pokémon for me
In my opinion, the TTYD remake for the Switch is one of the best. I had never gotten to play the original, so I was thrilled to find out it was coming to the Switch. I love the story, and it looks amazing. It would’ve been nice if you made this video after its release, but that’s okay.
Super Mario RPG remake has been a nice bit of Nostalgia, & now Younger Generations get to play it.
Where's Super Mario 64 DS??
Top 10 Best Nintendo Remakes
I'm a little surprised that you do not mentioned Link's Awakening
Even though its not a remake but metroid prime remasterd was one of the best games I have played on the switch .
Happy new year eve
I hope the rumor of a Fire Emblem 4 remake would become real someday
I love that game. took me forever to beat
Mario RPG is The Best Nintendo remake
My favourite remake is Kirby’s Return to Dreamland Deluxe. Because I founded amazing compared to original version and I can play this game all day long. I was just never stop playing this game!

Happy New Years Eve WatchMojo. From A 15 Year Old Boy From Queensland.
Mario RPG was the reason I got a Switch.
Mario and Luigi Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions it's incredibly good also happy New Year
Thank you for the update, WatchMojo..!! Back in the mid-80s, I played Super Mario on Nintendo for the first time at my friend's house. you had an atari...but weren't impressed by the NES' graphics/gameplay? NES was leagues better in both, even the "simpler" games like Mario
The Best Epic Nintendo Remake Games I Absolutely Love throughout the years are *Advance Wars 1 + 2: Re-Boot Camp, Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga + Bowser's Minions, Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story + Bowser Jr.'s Story, Kirby Super Star Ultra, Super Mario 3D All-Stars, Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia, Star Fox 64 3D, The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D & Majora's Mask 3D, Pokémon HeartGold & SoulSilver, Super Mario RPG Remake, Pokémon Brilliant Diamond & Shiny Pearl, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire & Omega Ruby, Kirby's Return to Dream Land Deluxe, Luigi's Mansion, Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and Super Mario 64 DS* are all of THE Best Epic Nintendo Remake Games I've ever played throughout the years.
I think HeartGold & SoulSilver need a port to Switch! I never played them, but i DARN WANT TO!
YES SUPER MARIO RPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
good job about Best Nintendo Remakes from Top 10
No, Xenoblade Chronicles definitive edition?
Thousand year door gonna go hard af
Kirby return to Dreamland deluxe is a good remake its underrated.
I agree with you. It’s one of my favourite kirby games of all time EVER!
It's not a remake, it's a remaster with additional content
@@martinde-serres8724 Wrong the game is a remake.
I called that Super Mario RPG was gonna come back once Cloud was added to Smash 4 and Smash Ultimate
How come Nightmare in Dreamland is never on these list?
That was a good remake too.
You forgot Metroid Zero Mission
Super Mario All Stars was my very first Mario game. Ive been obsessed with Mario ever since.
How was Zero Mission not here? I love Samus Returns but Zero Mission deserves a spot way more imo. It not only brought new visuals and music but also added to the story and created the now iconic zero suit
I’m waiting for fire emblem echoes genealogy of the holy war on the switch 2 along with the next mainline entry
they can add 776 too cause I need to play that one next XD
All Pokemon remakes except the Sinnoh remake were amazing but luckily we got Legends Arceus instead, hopefully Unova will get the love they deserved
Don’t forget Luigi’s Mansion Remake for the Nintendo 3DS based on the GameCube game! Nintendo did some changes and add more things in this game!
Nintendo remake games are amazing see our beloved old games get a upgrade
I wish they remade Fossil Fighters.

as someone who started playing Fire Emblem here in the states before we got Gaiden, Echoes is awesome!!!!!
I am have a suggestion of what you should park next to people and movies and TV shows that aren’t as nice as you think
Mario all stars all the way.
Replay value, timing, 4 games in 1.
Its perfect.
if we could get the rest of the prime trilogy before prime 4 comes out I'd be so happy. But as for reboots, the Mario RPGs were great.
I didn’t know Super Mario RPG was a remake!!!
While it’s not my favorite remake. Wind Waker HD was great with its updated visuals, fast sail, and better streamlined triforce quest.
All Stars was legendary!
Agreed.
The thousand year door when it comes out on switch.
Nothing beats the pokemon remake... what is this
you could only change to the OG Gameboy sounds after collecting all 16 badges. So there was really no point in doing so.
this video seems like a super mario rpg ad
To anyone reading this--Check out Mangs' video explaining why the Advance Wars remake shouldn't be considered one of the best Nintendo remakes.
Star Fox 64 3D also features French dub

Donkey Kong Country 3 (GBA): What makes this game good is the soundtrack by David Wise himself, which he didn't do on the original SNES version.
That's a remaster.
@@TokuAndAnimationNewsNetwork What's the difference ?

My favorite Nintendo remake is super Mario RPG that this game is more wonderful and a masterpiece than the original super Mario RPG and this video is wonderful
You forgot about Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe
Super Metroid is technically a remake so it would definitely take first place
...how the hell is it even TECHNICALLY a remake? it literally continues the story from the 1st 2 games....it's not remotely a remake in any sense
The Star fox 64 remake was terrific!
Damn the Zelda remake was great too
Super Mario RPG is awesome!
Shut Up And Take My Money
wow! there cute characters! i wanna see the earthbound remake for a wonderful world!
I hope Nintendo gives other Super NES games the same treatment Super Mario RPG, like the Donkey Kong Country trilogy or Star Fox 1 and 2.
Star Fox 1 has been remade technically 3 times now...64, 64 3D and Zero are remakes of the SNES original as well as reboots
I do not think I’ll buy Mario RPG, because of the challenging final boss
In the words of Chuggaconroy-Mario RPGs aren’t fucking shit anymore!
I know I can’t say anything cause I haven’t played it, but I swear super Mario rpg is overrated
What about Metal Gear Solid twin snakes. I played it numerous times.
What about . Super Mario Advance?
Super Mario RPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
should've included Mario 64 DS....and Mario RPG as #1...ehhh. While i am thoroughly enjoying RPG, remake wise they didn't do much..
Yeah, you're right.
BOTH of them should be Number 1.
They're both just that good!
