    Not gonna change anything. Dorsey can’t catch the ball, he can’t hold onto the ball, and he can’t stop Allen from throwing bad passes.

      Exactly. He was an easy target and the team is getting desperate and I think they just needed to do "something". I know we all expected so much from the team and all but this just feels like a kneejerk reaction.

      I will say that I absolutely hate his run game. It's SO predictable. Such a huge percentage of shotgun, so much inside zone and straight up duo. It's not a good run game, they really need to do more hard play action passes and runs out of shotgun, I really think that will play to Josh Allen's strengths.

      @@PlaySA you’re right but how much of that is Allen’s preference vs what Dorsey wants to do. They’ve already said multiple times Allen gives input and they tend to lean with what he’s comfortable with.

    Tell me you look at the stat sheet not the film, Allen making plays is their whole offense, they can’t scheme anyone open they can’t create leverage. Allen constantly HAVING to make plays above X’s and O’s is precisely why they are inconsistent and turnover prone

  • @ricblic901

    You can blame the players and there's a lot of blame to go around, but this offense has been offensive. Last night every time the Bills scored they ran the ball. So why didn't they lean on it. Allen on the sideline sitting by himself no headphones talking with Dorsey to see what went wrong. This was a dumpster waiting to be lit up. Peterson said he knew the play by the way they lined up, that screams of predictability, that is all on the OC.

    Anyone watching can see that this offence is a statistics-trick.
    It gains yards in its own territory effortlessly, driving up EPA, but goes 3-0 immediately at the halfway line.
    Every game, it's gaining loads of yards on few explosive plays, then securing no points and it has a defence that can give it enough possessions to repeat this process for big impressive stats.
    But since the Dolphins game we've scored more in the 4th quarter than in the first 3 quarters combined.
    Because Dorsey's scripted drives at the start suck and the 2 minute (where he isn't involved) are great.
    Josh Allen is literally calling better plays than him.
    That is weighing down your team, by definition.

    The players elevate the offense and make up for the schematic deficiencies. The reason they are so good in EPA is due to chuck plays starting from deep in their own end. But they actually stall out more often than not. Their actual points per game don’t match their “expected points added”. Dorsey’s scheme was extremely simplistic and predictable. The route concepts are random, the Tun game is unimaginative, and the offense is broken completely from a a schematic standpoint. They run the same 3 run plays and the same 3 pass plays, the defense knows what they are doing but the talent sometimes bails them out. When you call the same pass play the defense gets more picks because THEY KNOW THE ROUTE. This had to happen and it couldnt get get worse. They don’t even call the correct concepts to attack the coverages defenses call.

    The issue is coaching. The team's offense is failing with fundamentals, the defense even banged up is the only thing keeping them in games. The stats are there because of the offensive talent they have, not the play calls. Dorsey was predictable and worse yet was squandering the bills talent with bad situational play calls. They need someone who will clean up the sloppy play and bring back good fundamentals, if that happens this team might be in the playoffs. that's a big might!

    While the players have significant responsibility, Dorsey puts too much on Allen who’s the quintessential gunslinger. Bills fans have said all season that they’re on edge when he plays bc of that. Add in that Cook (a 2nd rd pick in his 2nd season), while he fumbled, has been a more explosive, productive back than *checks notes* Damien Harris, a 33 yo Lat Murray? Cook should be used in a similar way to an Ekeler…outside runs, screens, swings, etc. to take off the pressure when in the pocket. The play calling felt like Madden 4 verts (with some variation) every pass play without checking it down when there’s nothing there.

    • @PlaySA
      @PlaySA 9 місяців тому +2

      The run game is a bigger problem to be honest, that's where the calls are SO predictable. Gee, I wonder if it's gonna be inside zone from shotgun or duo from shotgun?? Either way you defend it basically the same, they could be so much more productive by calling more play action passes and run plays with Allen under center.
