- Penang, the food capital of Malaysia, has SO much to offer those choosing to live or retire there. From the high-quality healthcare to low cost of living, there is so much to love!
THANK YOU for your support and love. We wish you all the absolute BEST with building wealth and preparing for retirement.
ABOUT US
Greetings from the Biesingers! We are so happy you are here! We are a family of four sharing our financial freedom (FIRE) journey, including tips on how to build wealth, retire early, and retire abroad.
At age 21, we purchased our first real estate property and then became first-time landlords at age 22 as college students. We worked extremely hard to pay off my student debt. Doing so helped me graduate with my MBA completely student-debt-free!
We have other diversified investments and are excited to share more with you in our channel. We have now hit Coast FIRE which allowed us to move abroad and semi-retire in Asia!

@@BiesingerFIREJourney Wonderful. 😀
If I were to retire in Malaysia, Penang would be my only choice.
We loved Penang ❤
most importance items for senior is healthcare. thank you for the details information
You’re welcome, thank you for watching! 😊
Penang really great place. But may try Taiping or Ipoh. Calm and slow pace town, but with the best medical facilities. And the best part a long great railway facilities to north and south, easy to KL, thailand and singapore
I’ve definitely got to visit Taiping or Ipoh next time, thanks for your comment friend. 😊
Great job 🎉
Foreigners can buy properties here at minimum 1m ringgit.
Nice, but I suggest doing one video per topic, with examples. For example, one video just on health care costs & insurance (and examples). Another could be renting (and examples). A big need will be nursing homes as the majority of people in America, Canada, Australia and the UK are middle age or older...nursing homes are expensive AND terrible in these countries! Any options in Malaysia (and examples)?
❤❤❤❤❤
It sounds like a great place but I'm sure it's not so simple to retire there as a foreigner (like in Bali). Do you know how much money is needed in your bank account in order to retire in Malaysia as a foreigner? I heard you need quite a large sum of money in your bank account in order to maintain your MM2H visa (long term visa for foreigners) as proof of your financial independence.
@@mjo750and that’s the same in a western country
@@cryptobullflow- well this mjo guy is a very unsatisfied soul which gives a negative view to an appreciative visitors. He should open up and travel more to be an open minded person. When people praise what Malaysia can offer, why you need to contradict. What's your problem?
When u said extremely affordable.. the cost of living in USA or other western cities probably much much higher?😅
Pls go for sabah and sarawak mm2h
However many indonesians go to penang for medical services.
@mjo750 Indonesians are not known to be legal long term residents here. Most are labourers here doing construction or farming jobs.
Some people may not like penang coz too touristy.
Penang is great for many retirees, especially the younger folks. They just want a base and travel often to other Southeast Asian countries. IMO, there's no bad choices in any SE Asia country.
Penang is too crowded; Langkawi is more suitable for retirement, it's more relax and detached from the rest of the world, tax free too
Thanks for you suggestion! I will add it to my places to visit. 😊
