ABOUT US
Greetings from the Biesingers! We are so happy you are here! We are a family of four sharing our financial freedom (FIRE) journey, including tips on how to build wealth, retire early, and retire abroad.
At age 21, we purchased our first real estate property and then became first-time landlords at age 22 as college students. We worked extremely hard to pay off my student debt. Doing so helped me graduate with my MBA completely student-debt-free!
We have other diversified investments and are excited to share more with you in our channel. We have now hit Coast FIRE, allowing us to move abroad and semi-retire in Asia!

    I want to see social security uncollectable outside of the United States. Our country shouldn't be helping the economy of other countries. Our laws must make pension collectable if you are living in the United States. Time to put America first.

      Good luck with that. Maybe stop fomenting illegal wars and enriching the coffers of MIC to the tune of billions a year, not too mention foreign aid to countries like Ukraine and Israel before we look at the measly and paltry SS funds, - a Ponzi scheme which will be insolvent in less than a decade.

    Penang is not like what your title says. Most visitors to Penang get overwhelmed because what they see is only the rosy side. It doesn't matter where you plan to retire in Malaysia, your experience is going to be the same. I am not talking about the infrastructure, food, shopping, etc. You don't to move to Malaysia for that. What you have to know is the social setup and living as a Malaysian, which even locals find frustrating. So, by all means come - but only as a tourist. Come, eat, enjoy, go and come again and again.

      Hello! I recommend checking out my other video - "Latest MM2H Visa Updates!", there are different visa categories. The Silver is a 5-year renewable visa; there's also Gold (15 years) and Platinum (20 years). The silver level requires a 150,000 USD deposit. Program requirements still change frequently so I also recommend staying up to date online and checking with a registered MM2H agent. :)

    You didn't consider social security. Also, a conservative investor will average 5 to 6% . Social Security can be auto deposited in a USA or Thailand bank account. Another thing you're not considering is that you will be caring for more than one person. It's usually rare that one person lives alone forever. That being said , one out of two people have zero dollars in savings .Therefore, in reality, one person ends up supporting another person. This is a fact of life. Also, I lived in thailand for 8 years, and I would not describe a budget of twenty-five hundred dollars as luxurious. I would describe it as upscale. Or American middle class. Luxury would be $3500 and up. Usually up 😀 Lots of very wealthy Thais. Just because it's a poor country doesn't mean there aren't many very wealth pepole. 😉

    Seems about right to me after 3 years of videos -- the $800 to $1500 is what I heard a lot of - depending on location and lifestyle. I do believe you can have whatever you require or desire - for your budget ! The more you are able to adapt to the local ways of living - the lower your costs will be. One man really stood out @ $250/mo. ! Most really frugal US expats were maybe $600 -- $900. Some were quite comfortable and content on $900 > In the right areas. -?-

    What passing tourists do not understand that there is a property floor price for foreigners - foreigners have to purchase above a certain limit - KL is 1million ringgit for example - it does not matter what it says on Numbeo. This is to protect the locals property market and ensure they are not priced out of the market.

    Hi Fam! Quick correction about the Non-Immigrant O-A Visa. Basic financial criteria is to either 1) provide financial evidence of a 65,000 THB monthly income (about $1,800 USD) OR 2) bank statement showing a balance of 800,000 THB (about $22,000 USD). :)

    @robertkimmins4004 Місяць тому

    The O-A retirement visa can be applied for in your home country. You can keep the 800,000 baht in a foreign bank. The alternative is the 65,000 baht p/m income - you don't need both. The O-A visa requires health insurance. The O retirement visa is applied for in Thailand and the 800,000 baht must stay in a Thai bank. The alternative 65,000 baht income p/m is the same as the O-A visa. The O visa does not require health insurance. Note that the 800,000 baht must be deposited 2 months before application or renewal (after 1 year) and remain untouched for 3 months afterwards. In between times, you are allowed to take out half (400,000 baht).

So many foreigners have been murdered in Thailand. If thailand really wants you, they will make the whole immigration process easier. They just want your money. period.
