    Those trout are hungry!! Great technique for getting them. I always forget about plastics when im trout fishing! Dude P-LINE floroclear is the best line I have ever used.. been on it for years..better knot strength,better life...and I use 10lb floroclear on everything..the diameter is the same as berkley 6lb test 👊.. might have to try 4-6lb on my ultralight setup and report back if i catch more ! Awesome video as always!!

      @HOOK JAW HUNTERS Haha ya my usual go-to for trout is 1) HD Trouts 2) softplastics via small senko ned or these small 2" swimbaits. One of the 3 will get trout for me lol...I def notice the difference with P-Line, love that stuff!! I understand using 10LB since you're trolling though! If you're bank fishing or just casting off your boat, try 4LB you'll LOVE IT! Just don't throw a big jerbait on there or your line will snap lol. That's when I bust out the 6LB. Appreciate the support man, thanks for tuning in. Really tried to balance education and entertainment on this one haha.

    Great video, man. No lies, right about the time I was thinking "what this needs is some underwater footage", BAM -- you delivered. LoL. I was there the next day on the other end of the dam throwing the Dynamic Lures HD Brown and had great luck. I was planning to throw some of those, but already had the lure tied on so figured I'd give it a shot first. I was there later afternoon/evening, too, and they were still hungry!
    OH, I completely forgot about this until just now-- When I first got there, there was another family there and the dad was saying to his kids "I just don't they're biting today." I was making my first cast as they were packing up. On my 3rd cast, just as they were walking away, I got my first catch and one of his little kids says "look dad! he's got one... Right on! Little swimbaits are fun and effective. Nice examples of how to fish them.

      @Stephen Hy Thanks brotha! I fully agree, little swimbaits rock! Especially during ice off when the minnows are being gorged on! I'm glad you enjoyed the knowledge, Hope everything is going well with you and you're staying safe during these times!!😀

    New to this kind of fishing. What is “popping”? Bouncing it along the bottom? Do you keep bouncing it or let it rest a couple seconds after it sinks to the bottom?

    • @teamcoff
      @teamcoff  2 роки тому +2

      @regul8or No worries at all! Popping/Bounching along the bottom is letting it hit and then "popping" or lifting or twitching your rod so it makes the lure/rig come off the bottom. This will cause the swimbait to flutter it's paddletail and mimic a wounded minnow or just an easy target. The cadence of that is what can be a difference maker...Sometimes popping fast off the bottom is the key, sometimes aggressively letting it hit and sit a few seconds gets it done, sometimes only popping it out of vegetation is the key too...In this video we were on a transition point off of a dam wall to start. This transition was big/medium rocks to mud, which is always a good place to start for a variety of freshwater fish species. We then progressed to the dam wall itself which is all rocks. Popping in and out of the rocks or swimming right at that same level was doing the trick. Sorry for the long answer but hope that helps some!! Let me know if you ever need anything else answered😀

    It is very fun when you catch one after the other. I used those bait once when I found it in the river, and I used that to fish for the trout. They bit the tail off . That great trout action video.
