Impressive environment and excelent informations! I setup a tank couple of month ago but I don't have that much of knowledge and information. After watching your dirted tank's video, I started that from the beginning and bought natural resources such as stone, wood, sand. I have collected everything except low tech plants. Your ideas and tank setup are amazing. I am following your dirted tank's setup instructions and hope that everything will go well. Thanks for your video. Waiting for more of your tank's video. Good Luck and greetings from BANGLADESH.
Lol ! Pause at 0:33, anyone could go search for Einstein pictures on google and compare ! Seriously, u could easily cast in a film about young Einstein if ur an actor….another point is that u might be him reincarnated lol pls nevermind my silliness 😂
I have been thinking about getting a betta. I already have a small tank set up and planted, but I'd like to get more plants so the shrimp will have more places to hide. I love the plants you chose! The tank looks beautiful.
Some times you get lucky with that... I had a particular individual Betta who lived in one of my tanks that had a cherry shrimp colony and they were thriving , never seen him trying to eat any baby shrimp, and he loved to eat on the bottom with the shrimps , he never bothered them ... I think he was rare kind of an individual .
@peaceofnaturee ...Ireland... I love how you plant your tanks...mine always looks a bit random planted and not natural.. Where yours looks so natural... Fabulous. ..
This is a great set up and amazing community planted tank. Am sure it is more than any betta fish ever wished for in the whole world! But I couldn't help but notice that those large and extravagant 'man-induced' fins - pectoral, dorsal, caudal & anal fins are like an ever attached luggage for that poor fish; has to drag them around its whole life. Only making the fish work lot harder to get around for simplest of things it wants to do in any tank. More laborious in a larger tank than just a wine glass. Not suggesting that Bettas should remian in small glass mugs - its a solitary confinement! Having them in any larger tanks does make us 'humans' feel great, but one wouldn't know what the fish feels about it.
You're right about the fins, this is a problem with Betta fish and many breeds of animals bred by humans just to look pretty. In the wild, bettas have small fins and tails. I've been thinking of buying a betta for some time, but I don't want to support cruel breeding practices like breeding for huge fins. I could buy a plakat variety (similar to the wild type), but after I've done some research, I noticed that breeding of any type of betta seems cruel. The young fish are reared in overcrowded tanks, ruthlessly culled if they don't look nice enough, and many die in transport to pet shops. I guess in the end I won't buy a betta. I could maybe adopt one regardless of its fins.
Betta tankta gerçekten çok mutlu görünüyor, bir de bir şey sorsam, kullandığınız sıvı yapıştırıcı akvaryuma içinde bulundurduğu kimyasallardan dolayı suya salınım yapmıyor mu?
It's not British at all, that's a professional American accent. 😉 I suppose you have been fooled by the low pitch of the voice, which can be typical of British voices.
Betta fish can sure eat shrimps, but the half and full-moons aren't as quick as their natural counterparts - like wild betta or even plakats. So some, if not all, shripms will manage to survive with this types of betta breeds.
@@peaceofnaturee Exactly, I studied the betta, because of the fins it is a terrible swimmer, from the point of view of the breed it often lives in Thai rice fields which even end up being just puddles, finally being territorial too much volume of water stresses it due to too much control.. .HI
My..my eyes.. youre adding all these grazing species, snails and fish to a fresh setup.. Thats honestly just cruel. The snails and shrimp and oto have simply nothing to graze on!
Do you think there is no food for them in a fresh setup? You’re wrong my friend, there is so many natural food for them in fresh setups. For example, diatoms, biofilm, algea which we can’t see with our eyes when they just start to grow.
Love the video. The set up came out absolutely beautiful! His new home is just right for him.
Thank you so much! 🫶🏻

Thank you so much 🙏🏻
do you plant down into the soil? or only into the substrate?
Only into the substrate, plant’s root will find the soil.
Mükemmel ❤
Teşekkürler ❤️
Is Hygrophila pinatifida in your big tank still alive? Didnt you experience any melt?
Some of leaves melted week after I plant. But it’s growing back now.
i normally hate AI voices, but the personification of Barney makes up for it
ABD'den selamlar
Thank you so much! 🙏🏻 Türkiye’den selamlar🙂
That is an AI voice?
Do you test you water, in that first week of fulling
I don’t generally test the water.
You got that British man documentary voice😂 awesome
Thank you so much!

You have introduced a Betta in the tank but as per I know Betta fish can eat Shrimps
Yes, right. I wrote about it under the video.

I really want one! I hope in future! 🤞

if we want to be precise and create the right size for a betta the water column should not exceed 20cm...
Hi, thank you for feedback. Can I ask you why? Because of their natural habitat?
@@peaceofnaturee Exactly, I studied the betta, because of the fins it is a terrible swimmer, from the point of view of the breed it often lives in Thai rice fields which even end up being just puddles, finally being territorial too much volume of water stresses it due to too much control.. .HI
@@SamuraiRokerolle That's kinda funny cause here in my country the legal requirement for keeping them are 60cm tanks.
@@strawberryfox8819 but I'm talking about their environmental specificity which has made them live in the waters of rice fields for millennia...

Betta with shrimp 😢
These thpe of Bettas are so slow to catch shrimps.

The tank was set up for a while. There is diatomaceous algae and beneficial bacteria for them to feed on
