Went out to my local junkyard and they wanted $75 for the cups and bump stops. For about 30 year old equipment, I passed on that! I'll save up for durobumps.
Thanks for this idea. What I ended up doing is drilling a new hole further inboard of the flca so that the bumpstop fully contacts the upper part of the frame instead of buckling. Works great this way and much cheaper than durobumps!
I only did a leveling lift on the front of my 2003 4Runner so the vehicle will clear my garage door. Thanks for the information. Yes, mall crawling can be dangerous!
Thanks for the video man! Great work as always, just ordered a set of these fresh bump stops for my new solo motorsports LCA’s since my old stock ones were cross threaded
Glad you posted this, been had the ES front bump stop broke but been tryna figure something out for the rear cuz I didn’t wanna spend the durobump $ lol the cup for the blazer, would it be the front cup or the rear cup that I would need?
When sitting static, how far away is the new front bumpstop from making contact? I am curious if these would work with my 2ish" lift. I have a set sitting on my bench. Just haven't decided between putting them on my 3rd gen or my 5th gen.
Front Bump Stop: Energy Suspension Shock/Strut Bump Stop 8.9104G (Rear, but works in front!) www.autozone.com/suspension-steering-tire-and-wheel/susp-multi-purpose-bump-stop-kit/p/energy-suspension-shock-strut-bump-stop-8-9104g/1042256_0_0
THATS A HUGE MISTAKE U MADE, U INSTALLED THOSE BUMP STOPS AND THEY ARE CONSTANTLY SITTING ON THE CONTROL ARMS WITH NO SPACE OF AT LEAST 2 INCHES, U WILL HAVE A HARSH SUSPENSION ALONG WITH STEERING BUMP SHAKE.
You could use Dow 795 caulking to really make sure they stay in place in the rear I did the same thing thanks to you it’s great when I tow the boat
you videos have help me a lot i save them for playlists thanks bro
