Speaking from recent personal experience for anyone looking to buy the BP51 for front, even at the 5mm preload, unless you have a bumper, it will give you 3" lift (some distributor website call it a 3" lift, you should interpret this as the minimal amount of lift without added weight). At 5mm, with weight, it will be performing like a leveling, probably will go down to 2", but I set to 5mm, at factory front weight, it's a full 3".
@@NB-yn7dv well it's a good question, but the front coil over came assembled and Mudify only offers one option, so the load of the spring was never discussed with me (rear spring options are offered).

torqueing a bolt where two flat surfaces hit each other doesn't means anything with the weight of the car. If anything, you want to torque when there is the least amount of stress put into any of the items around it. You don't torque a head bolt when the engine is running, just like structural steel, the bolts assembling that don't get retorqued once the building is built. The Torque spec is based on the strength of the bolt, not the forces what will be applied to the surrounding metals, those forces dictate the size and strength of the bolt specified.
@@socercrze So why does this logic not apply with the wheels themselves? I'm not being a dick I'm just being curious. Is it because of the fact that the wheels are actually a rotating force that do move consistently?

Also I saw you used shims on your front struts to level the vehicle out. What thickness of shim did you use and where did you source them? The space difference between the top of the two rear struts is a pain. Placing the stupid plastic shin guards in to the puzzle pieces at the bottom and getting them to click. Front driver UCA bolt not getting hung up on the electrical wires. And getting the passenger UCA bolt past the FREAK’N AC line or cooling line what ever it is. This has been a pain in the a$$. Lowering Civics is way easier, but the again i was 20yrs younger then.
Front lower. But the bushing is up by the mount plate on these so I’m not sure it’s important since the bushing is on its own shaft. Shouldn’t be any danger of ripping the bushing.

Thanks!
After 5 months, I finally got my ONE BP51 suspension system and tires. I saw you have wheel spacers (1"?), I tried to get offset and backspacing information for the wheels I plan to go with. My first question was there a mechanical reason for adding the (1"?) Spacer with the stock TRD Pro wheel 17"x7" with a 4.51" backspacing and a -12 mm offset? Also I saw you used shims on your front struts to level the vehicle out. What thickness of shim did you use and where did you source them?
Sorry for all the questions, but so far you are the only REAL resource that has installed the OME suspension. Just trying to make sure my learning curve is not fraught with wasteful mistakes in advance I appreciate your advice👍
Let's see we used 1.25" wheel spacers. And the shims were just to give us a little more lift and it was 1/4" thick
@SnailTrail4x4 Thank you for your setup. There are so many builds out there, I am going to have to put the rig up on the rack and just get it installed.
I would like to see a "Long-term" use review on your setup.
Getting famous off of comments day 170, so I can live the dream, live life to the fullest🤙
Roof rack brand name please.
KC Highlights M-Rack that thing is badass!!! www.kchilites.com/roof-racks/vehicle/toyota/4runner.html
whats the cool music ?
What time?
Awesome! Any chance could I buy your previous lift from you?
Nope it has been used
What’s the cost for this install?
Why didn’t you just take the tierod off turn your wheel instead of doing all that ?? No need to take the arms off ..but guess for more clearance
I have seen this video about 20 times in preparation. Really wish you would have touched on all 4 sides. I get not wanting to make a 2hr video, but dang.
I will take this into consideration, needing to show the issues
@@SnailTrail4x4 thank you. Love the channel. ✌️
Is there a lot of wear and tear with lift like this?
Any modifications will add wear and tear to your vehicle. But, it's not really that much. More wear and tear comes from going off-roading
Its not Old Man Emuuu. Its Old Man Emue
You're supposed to tighten the shock bolt when you lower the car 🤭
What bolt are you asking about
Front lower. But the bushing is up by the mount plate on these so I’m not sure it’s important since the bushing is on its own shaft. Shouldn’t be any danger of ripping the bushing.
Buy American. Sorry, OME is off the table.
What suspension would you choose then? Rough Country? King? I did a video on them: ua-cam.com/video/TuNPylEV7Ak/v-deo.html
Do you Gus sell
That here in USA?
Yes, it's sold here
