On this episode we finally kick off construction of the new TwinStick Garage, a 40’ x 60’ building that was constructed in only four days! An incredible accomplishment by the crew who were some of the hardest workers I’ve ever seen. Hope you enjoy the video where we go from a muddy pad to a full building where you can sit and enjoy a beer in a very short time. Always appreciate all the comments, suggestions, and support!

Huge love for Mrs Twinsticks letting Mark build an awesome shop, and letting him spend his money on old iron to restore for our viewing pleasure. The world needs more women like Mrs Twinsticks 👍🏼
I love these Mrs. Twinsticks comments! 🤣 When Mark had that Pete (I mean “unicorn”) hauled into the yard I must admit I was a tad concerned. He was just so excited, it made me excited for him too! I love how the fans get to see what we love about him so much. 😄

Can ya believe it Peg, I seen quick before but if you went the house to tell the old lady to have some snacks ready, they would of been done and gone. I will say he earned it as you know playing is one thing but forced to do something is another. Hope things up your way it all good and minty... You ain't no kid either I kinda figured. I'm seventy three and got just as excited as he did seeing it fall into place. Had the weather cooperated a little more they might of finished in three and a half days

Hey Mark! I’d recommend putting some drains in the floor before the concrete is poured, so and put some speakers mounted on the wall in the shop you can blast some sick country tunes!

Look into putting in exhaust vents to the outside for running the engines inside. You could put a lean-to off the back for that camper if you have the height.
I was going to mention those two things also.
What a beautiful "fleet maintenance garage", thank you Mrs Twinstix! The timelapse was so satisfying to watch, they make it look easy. I was thinking about some of your videos where you really brave the elements and got a chuckle when you said you might have to roll a truck outside and work in the snow, just for old times sake...Must've been great backing the truck in there for the first time. Loved the last shot of you relaxing with a cold beverage! Cheers!

Congrats with the new shop. Built like a us pole barn. Mrs Twin Sticks deserves a lot of roses and a grand meal at a three star restaurant. Good luck with the work shop, it will prevent you from frozen fingers.
Careful parking your camper on the backside of that shop. Heavy snow sliding off the roof will mess up the roof of your camper. I flattened the roof of a 48 plymouth sedan once. Bad times.
Will Little by little still fit with high stacks? Raised floor and doors still to go! Awesome channel !

Tip: 1. Unless you absolutely love the sound of rain hitting a tin roof...id do some insulation and sound deadening.
2. Make sure you put a gd woodstove in that bastard. The fuel prices alone to keep that shop warm will break even a rich man!!! Look into hydronic floor heating. It pays for itself in the long run....

Geothermal in the floor or forced air unit that uses old engine oil. Very economical. Very jealous down here in the States. You deserve it after working outside in those sub zero temperatures!
I kind of dig the sound of the rain on the roof ... thinking a radiant tube heater on nat gas will work nicely 🤔
Try waste oil heaters you already have a source for oil and its very efficient
This is going to feel heated after all those winters spent working outside! 😂

That shop is incredible, I just need one bay of that, my trucks are only 11 feet tall so I want a 12 foot door, my freightliner is under 10 tall, just awesome

You need to get a magnet on a pole. Homedepot under $30 about 24” wide you won’t believe how many nail you will p/u that you can’t see by eye.
Need a fridge in that minty shop of yours for sure and gravel around it to have parking spots in the back and sides

I know it is a hard check to write but after seeing that I wouldn't mind it at all. Be sure and leave space for Mrs. Twin Sticks projects...
Maybe you can add an large carport/overhang on the backside of the building for the camper since you was saying you would park your camper there.

That looks good 👍 get your electrical in there air conditioning heat I don't know if you're going to put running water in there a restroom I don't know about that I would think if you do that you're going to have to put a septic field so you might not do that those trucks are going to look good in there then when you finally get your Kenworth cabover
The same five guys came and did a 50 by 100 16 x 16 door on each end of the building with an entry door took them two days third day for the concrete
That's so cool, and I'm happy for you! Awesome wifes make the world go around brother!!! Mine has always supported my hobbies, and I'll tell you what, that's not easy, because I have champagne tastes on a water budget, but she helps me figure out ways to get what I want! I might have to wait a little longer to get it, but it's worth it!

Yes it will, all that money and effort without even pouring sonnet tubes and mounting brackets on the concrete tubes. Absolutely worthless building process... Fucked up like a football bat.

Morning Mark, I could believe that whole shop went up in 4 days wow! and it looks good. I'm building a new shop today, I have to go down to Canadian tire and get a new 20 by 20 blue tarp my other one is getting pretty tattered, so brand new shop for me. And little by little looks pretty happy in his new home, see you on the next one.

Please take my advice and spray foam 2" on the gravel floor before concrete and 3" in the wall & you will thank me later ! & In the ceiling do blow in, R50 atleast for where you are & dont forget to put plastic on bottom of roof trusses first.
I do big shops all the time !! Many reasons you should spray foam it, 100 % sealed and its as hard as concrete when done #s behind are 300 % stronger after being sprayed.
Congrats Mark on the new shop and it looks good, It's going to look even better when it is completely finished, with sod down and concrete. Yep very nice.
I wouldn't put your camper behind the garage,, that snow will not stay up on a metal roof.. it's going to crush the 5th wheel camper...

YOU HAVE TO LOVE PROFICIENCY AT WORK! THEY PROBABLY SPECIALIZE THE DESIGN SO ITS JUST A MATER OF HEIGHT X width X depth that really changes . wood or fuel heat? it will be nice when its finished... Snyder Egg light housings in neat little rows, lol ENJOY THE SHOP, I LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING GOOD THINGS!

Nice looking shop mate. You are blessed. Good idea to put some drain holes before pouring concrete. Also some electrical conduits in the concrete and floor electric sockets. Waiting to see it finished with concrete floor. 🤗

Hey Mark! Congratulations on the shop! Back in the beginning I had made a suggestion to you about having your daughter film you doing a drive-by in LBL! In which Now you use in your intro. If I could make another suggestion, I was thinking it would be really cool to put twin sticks garage sign up on the side of the building? and have that same sign on the shop in your intro?🤔
You better hurry up and fill those other two bays before somebody sneaks in an SUV. Before you know it....you'll have gardening tools and flower supplies in there. ;^)

Awesome, so happy for you and love your channel, been trucking here in Florida for 33 years, but laid up for a little now shattered my forearm a couple of weeks ago from a walking floor trailer door slamming on it from the wind 2 surgeries down and a couple more to go to save my arm, love your content and I’m old school trucking all the , keep on going, little by little you’ll get there 👍👍👍👍👍
