you should buy new devices if you feel like you've been putting up with your old devices for too long, and that you want a new device, not because you want to improve at osu. And you need to know that using a new device will instantly lower your osu level and you have to work your way back up, but it will be worth it as it eliminates what irritated you. For example I've been really annoyed with my wired mouse for a long time cuz the wire make the mouse feel different every time, so I buy a wireless mouse, and while I did not instantly improve, it eliminates that feeling of the wire pushing into your hand.
Yes, it made for people who get low frames. It can be useful when you get 50-60 FPS in games, like PUBG. If you can have hundreds of FPS you don't need to use Low Latency mode, because with high FPS you get it low latency normally.
Short fingers aren't a huge problem if you put a lot of time into finger control and practice high bpm properly. I also have moderately short fingers and I have through practice got to around 240 bpm short streams. Just don't blame genetics since you can't change them, blame your determination to improve instead.
I think you should have mentioned how valuable Vaxei, Whitecat, and Idke's mental attitude towards improvement can be. I remember Idke saying on stream that one of the reasons he was so consistent is that he kept pushing his limits and believing he can get a score he was working towards if the right time and practice was put in. It sounds pretty basic but considering how many osu players always tell themselves that they won't get better, they won't get this score, or that they're bad, is so common it doesn't seem to be I guess. Keeping a good mental is hard and tedious but it's probably the best advice when talking about trying to improve.
Honestly this is very inspiring, as currently I'm a 327k and got 3 100pp plays yesterday at the time of righting this, its showing the i am going in the right direction i think as a player improving fast and getting higher and higher pp plays and playing higher and higher star maps

You make good points here. I'm recently learning how to alternate without confusing myself, and I have only started learning like a few days ago and I'm already seeing improvements. Awkward maps don't seem as awkward anymore. Maps that were doable but a little hard suddenly felt slow and easy. Looking forward to improving more in the future! But the most important thing about improving in osu would be to enjoy the game. It's much easier to give up if you don't enjoy the game. But if you do enjoy the game, you'll always end up coming back to it. Also also, to other players out there, make sure you put health at number one. Take breaks, don't overexert your hands. If your hands are starting to hurt or feel numb, stop playing. Stretch often. Don't injure yourself ot the point of no return. Hospital bills are expensive :P
I have been taking your advice and pretty much only played hr since I watched this when it came out. So far ny aim, accuracy, and reading have all improved tremendously
I don’t know about genetics but talent is definitely real. I can’t imagine thinking two people with the exact same routine would not vary wildly in many cases.
Wow didn’t expect this in my recommended, Im like for 2 weeks trying to search ways to improve and this pops up today. Thank you this video actually had some points I didn’t think about.
Good equipment definitely gives off placebo effect vibes and theoretically could make you play better but usually only short term, so yea, play with what you're most comfortable with is the best solution for improvement.
theres so much more to do with lowering latency in osu or any other game, but the tips you told ppl are really quite safe and really help, really good to see more ppl getting this advice
knowing how and why you are messing up helps a lot instead of just hoping wtvr is making u miss just disappear as u play more. That takes so long to change, but if u knew how u are messing up u can fix them which makes getting better way faster.
I have some criticisms with your "genetic" arguments. Your reaction time chart. There are, from my understanding three different kinds of reaction time. 1. Visual/auditory reaction time 2. Simple reaction time and 3. Choice reaction time. Visual/auditory reaction time is straight forward, it's simply the amount of time it takes for our brain to react to comprehend a visual/auditory stimulus. Neither are very long, but visual was twice as long as auditory iirc. The second is what the chart you used was for, SRT (simple reaction time). This is the amount of time it takes for you to react to a stimulus, BUT this is data relating to only one possible stimuli and one possible response. Take for example, hearing a auditory cue and immediately responding pressing a single button. You're already prepared to press the button since there are no other options, this movement requires very little mental processing and therefore is a very fast reaction. What osu! reaction time is closer to : CRT (choice reaction time). CRT is the amount of time needed to give a response to two or more possible stimuli requiring two or more possible responses. When given options or are required to do more than one response the mean for our reaction time is actually close to double of what our SRT time would be, so depending on the task the mean reaction time can be between 300-500 ms. Since we aren't just reacting visually but through auditory cues with the music (although it's more visually) and we aren't just doing a single movement, we don't move our pens/mouse in the same way every single time and we don't use the same finger to tap every time ect. ect. our osu! reaction time is closer to CRT than it is SRT. So, what does this mean? The actual difference between all of these different types of reaction times is our mental processing time and the SRT chart is not a universal mean that's true for every activity. The more complicated the task the more time it'll take to go from reaction from a stimulus to a response. To use SRT as an argument is faulty, especially without understanding what the chart actually means. And what determines our mental processing speed? It's a cognitive trait and considering many of our cognitive abilities are linked to genetics it's debatable that this is as well. Am I saying that it can't be improved on? Of course not. Just using a reaction time chart you didn't understand yourself is flawed reasoning and doesn't prove that we're all equal because our reaction time cap is "below AR 11", because it's actually far from it. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Secondly, streaming/aiming Your initial statement makes no sense. You're claiming with "bad genetics" are capable of hitting 250 BPM bursts? That's really not true. Speaking more from my own experiences with players here, those with actual "bad streaming genetics" *struggle* to even hit 160-180 BPM bursts. But take for example when there are players who are capable of tapping 220 BPM long streams in literally their first week into osu! and you get players who have been playing for 3-5 years and still struggle with 170 BPM bursts and deal with their fingers completely locking up or are lacking strength to do even the most basic shit, then you obviously end up with claims that it's genetic whether it's right or wrong. Your understanding of streaming stamina is a bit strange too. I'm not sure I even understand it...if you can hit a certain burst it definitely does not mean you should be able to stream that BPM if you "optimize (?)" it With aiming, I don't have much to comment on. It's been common knowledge in the community for a long time that the majority of aiming is actually mental. But I will say that saying "if you can quickly move your cursor up and down then there is no cap" is way too oversimplifying. Moving your cursor in rapid succession from point A to B is what's called "short term muscle memory" which is movement that is a lot easier for us to follow through with. But to have the mental capacity to move not only quickly, but accurately and steadily is a whole other ballpark. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Genetics is the ultimate cop-out excuse for osu! players, understandably that makes a lot of people sick of hearing of it. Unless we had a machine that could let us switch bodies there's no way to prove that it is or isn't a physically genetic or mental factor . The overuse of it as an excuse by players who don't want to put the actual time in has made it almost absolute, but then simply waving it off as an actual factor because of that is nonsense.
@@xXninjaXx123 I mean you can watch Spazza's video for further information about this, since this video has a bit lack of understanding on some points (the fuckin' "genetics", reaction time, stream ability, and player's playstyle)
@@arsyadazrai1976 no shit it's a joke statement I do however think that there are people who will stubbornly refuse it's a factor at all regardless of any evidence we throw at them. Rereading it though I failed at making that point of saying that clear, my bad
Stamina is simply finding the best way to click at the speed you can, while also improving your resistance towards microscopic tear in the muscle (ie: stronger muscles) Finding the correct way to click is vastly the most important thing, however. Because when things are working in tandem, the singular strain is greatly reduced. Also, bodyfat percentage would also play a role in how much strain you get from clicking so an optimal person for clicking would probably have; hypermobility, a strong forearm/palm, proper form, good rest, healthy amounts of water, sufficient vitamins on all ends, and under 15% bodyfat. I've not seen any studies regarding the length/width of fingers, however. A larger forearm and palm would probably help. Greater potential for muscle. ~ten minutes of research
@@atenbobi Interesting stuff When I said I don't understand stamina I meant that as I didn't understand Bruhmaster's comment on it, since he just threw out the word "optimization" without an explanation
I put all my stupid/difficult maps into my warm-up playlist. I play them once when I start the game to get the negative mood out of the way knowing that I'll fail it out anyway. Then one day I'll pass the map with a C or B and be pretty happy about that. I'll keep it at with keeping those dumb maps in the warm-up playlist until they're A-ranked, then boot them out for another dumb hard map. Outside of the warm-up, I'm constantly getting new maps just to play something I haven't seen. I aim to improve my sightread more than anything. After I play a map outside of my warm-up a few times, it's easy to just go in and full combo it. Initially, that warm-up folder started when I was entering 3-star land. It has been a week and now I have 4.7 star clears with 1 miss because I'm not beating myself up with the failures. As for the Real audio trick, just push the 10ms into the osu settings and let it handle itself there. No sense in using 3rd party tools when it is built into the game. Also, I'm 26. No special genetics. No special equipment.
one of the biggest problems i had when i was trying to improve is something i never though could affect me but having a balanced healthy diet, exercising and getting enough sleep can be factors hindering your improvement. i learned that at the beginning of collage i implemented it and after 2 months i will say it worked. Not just in osu but all the other things i have to learn its like my brain changed.

a lot of people think they cant aim when THEY CAN. the big struggle for a lot of people (including me) is tapping when your cursor is on the circle. it might sound silly, but tapping is just as important if not more important than aim.
This. I often miss a note because I tap too early or too late. Even on maps way easier than what I'm used to playing. I imagine the motion of my cursor in my head and just pray to god that my tap hand doesn't go off rhythm by even a few milliseconds. And I miss, ofc.
I got hooked on osu! at the end of may this year. I had downloaded it to try it out and had about 700 play count in standard over the span of two years (june 2019-april 2022). It's now the middle of August (about 3 months of playing almost everyday) and I almost have 10k play count. My friend that had originally convinced me to download it and that I play the game with is blown away at how fast I've been improving over the past few months, and tbh, that's part of why I love the game so much right now. I was 1.1m global when I started playing again, and I set a goal to get into 6 digit. Two days later, my goal was 800k global. Fast forward 20 days and I achieved my then goal of getting below 500k. Then my goal was a 100pp play. I got that the same day. After that my goal was to just generally improve and get an an fc with good acc on a 5star map, which took about 22 days of playing. Then my goal was a 150pp play as well as getting into 4 digit in Canada, with a long term goal of getting to 5 digit global. Around the same time I started to actually download maps with streams and have been working on getting better at those since then cause I'm not great at them and want to be better at them. My first 150pp play was 18 days ago now, and I reached 4 digit in Canada roughly a week or so ago. Since getting the 150pp play my goal was to get more consistent at 5 star maps and to really focus on getting better acc on scores. A few days of getting far better at accuracy, my goal was to actually beat my first 150pp (157pp) play. 11 days after the 157 I finally beat it with a 162pp play, then later that night my friend sent me a really short 1-2 map that I fc'd after about 10 or so tries for 179pp. Since then my main goal has been a 200pp play. Tonight I got a 198pp play and I'm ecstatic. The play was originally a 4 miss with 95% acc, which I score v1'd myself twice getting a 1 miss with 94% lowering it from 155pp to 150pp, then the next play was a 2 miss with even worse acc lowering it to 134pp. I lost 1.1k global rank in total for those xD. Then after maybe 30 minutes of grinding the top diff in the same set, I went back to it and got the fc after about 5 tries with 97.8% acc. I think a big reason I've been able to improve so quickly is because I set realistic short term goals for myself, with long term goals in mind. I also played the game for an average of about 7 hours a day during June and the first half of July as I had taken time off work and kind of lost myself in the game. I'm by no means someone who can give every osu! player tips on improving because my journey with the game has basically only just started. But to those that I can give pointers to, be patient and set realistic goals for yourself. ps. This isn't supposed to be a flex or anything, more so a response to the last bit of the video because in my opinion, practicing and seeing the results from practicing is the best part of the game for me. Seeing my motivation and effort to become better actually paying off is extraordinarily rewarding for me, making practice really fun. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
Biggest problem for me in improving on osu, is that I love the game, love playing it, but I play for like 2 weeks and then something comes up and I can't play for a little while, so I get out of the loop I was in and it's hard to *start* again. So I end up having these random bursts of playing where I improve just to the point where I'm beating my old scores and then shut down again.
One giant thing left out is confidence. Confidence is the key to consistancy, and players like idke, whitecat and cookiezi oooze of it. If nerves plz is a problem, you should work on your confidence by getting runs you impress yourself with, no matter what it takes
The thing that's holding me back is. A negative mindset, I really need to change it but I can't, I'm dragged inside the world of beating your own self, and I can't escape.
I feel ike learning osu is easier compared to learning competitive fps. Like in osu! it's hard to do bad practice. If you're playing a little out of your comfot zone or right at the cap of it you'll still improve and have fun at the same time. But in counter strike or valorant or similar games you have to practice on your own against bots to improve your aim or other mechanical skill which is really boring.
I haven't seen anybody say it yet but the way you said this could be you at the end of the video then showing a story of a top player was fucking genius
Idke also had another clip talking about improvement where he described the ideal maps as a narrow “improvement zone”, where a small section of maps are ideal, where anything higher is inefficient and lower is too easy
Its funny how I have good reaction time (kinda?) But my eye movement seriously suck. because I can't pay attention in school :p ALSO one of my motivations to keep improving in osu! Is to get those satisfying jumps that whitecat or vaxei makes you know? With the drums and stuff ir rhymes so well with the music that's why I keep playing osu!
First off let me say I don't know a whole lot of terms and whatnot for osu while I try and explain some trouble I'm running into while trying to improve. I'm currently trying to get better at streams of 180-200 bpm. I was able to finally pass the big black after maybe an hour of warming up to how fast those streams go (the jumps never seemed to be an issue for me luckily), but now I'm running into an issue with anima by xi (aswell as aiae), sure the streams have a bit more movement in them than the big black but there's some issues that rise up. I can't seem to tap quickly enough unless I warm up to that speed for about an hour, and I usually double tap normally for everything in my playstyle which has led me to this interesting tactic I've figured out. I seem to always lead a stream with the same finger (the "z" key / my middle finger), and focusing on that whenever starting a stream has helped alot. But now the issue is trying to hold my mouse hand still while tapping that fast during a stream, which I guess will hopefully come with practice and getting more comfortable with 180-200 bpm streams. We'll see.
Yesterday I noticed I’ve been playing with a HUGE delay for 4 years, even tho I made my first 200 pp plays after one years, I could never do better, I tried.. TRIED, so hard, and later on (4 years) I could finally make my second 200+pp map! But yesterday, YESTERDAY, I laughed for 10 minutes, then I was like... FML... 4 years dude, anyway, never give up 😂
Its funny that i already knew all this but i just dont do it cause it just all goes back down to it being boring to me and im just too lazy to bother. So obviously the main thing i would say is just that if you want to improve then you must be willing to do the stuff you dont enjoy.
As a,,, well admittedly kinda bad player (as in it will take me like 20 tries to do a 5 star) I find it way more beneficial to focus way more on aim than anything else, because other than just long streams of notes, times I fail are really mostly because I completely undershot ever circle like an idiot or hit it to quick or slow, paying attention to the screen rather than your fingers helps because the approach circle, well does it's job. Anyway that's my totally amazing 6 digit advice
You literally start talking about stamina just as a huge ass stream comes up in whatever map is being played in the BG. Not sure why, but thats pretty damn satisfying.
I've always thought that I'd limit myself by using mouse only, but time after time i keep proving myself wrong by just playing normally and I've improved superbly. It's usually the mindset that's the downfall
Fr? I'm mouse currently and like rank 727k I play on and off rn since I started back in February and started playing more in March, now I only play after work and stuff but sometimes mouse just be feeling weird cause I either overaim or underaim jumps on 4.8 star maps, I can do streams a bit decently for how early it is with me being on the game but I've gotten up to 190bpm and tbh I feel like I ain't getting better rn but ik I am in certain ways and areas mouse is underrated as hell and I don't think I'ma change my mind on that fr
@@pimpincrucible2658 Yes fr fr, but keyboard is way more consistent. I'm 489k (i like to be technical first than to farm) and i too started in the very beginning of febuary. Jumps for me are easier but on lower bpms, streaming is inconsistent though. Mouse only is basically a handicap, but i have used it super effectively, although you should try to learn keyboard and mouse for long term. I actually switched after hurting my right hand too much, although i still do mouse only when i have to scratch my face or something.
3:15 I have that play style, I thought it was more unknown! I like to pen tap for single and double notes and use S D for streams (and pen if streams are too fast). I have a twitch where I record my plays on osu! (astolfoplushy) and i hope that this play style becomes more known in the community as a very viable play style. Im ranked currently #66,495 but im going up the charts pretty fast
Something else that works (at least for me) is playing 2-3 stars above what you can farm, if you can farm five stars try to pass seven stars, and don’t farm everyday. After a while when you get comfortable playing difficult songs start playing what you used to farm or harder and everything seems so much easier Edit: also learn HD it’s free pp
That would be cool if there was a video about "How to start improving" for people who gets demotivated at 4-5* and where there is no real tips of how to improve
play every 5* map with the intention to fc, find a few maps you think you can fc and focus on those. Also try changing the cs of every map you play to 5. Soon you’ll begin to find 6 and 7* maps easy
I was playing osu and got mad for why I was not improving. I took a break for like 5 days and when I was way much better when I came back. Probably because if you play the game a lot without resting or processing your mistakes thoroughly, it is easy to get burned out and you will get mad by doing the same thing over and over again without improving.
So... What's the best way to get improved faster? 1: Play High Stars maps and pass it 2: Play maps with mods or double mods or even triple or whatever 3: do the method like idke said in the video and the other methods in this video 4: fcing maps (Obv maps that you can FC) 5: Passing maps (doesnt matter how high the star is) Thats it, and please, if anyone here saying that im dumb didnt watch the whole video, i did watched the whole video and thats why im asking this question Because im confused now and please answer it
Always playing the fun, fast, hard maps that you wanna be able to do well on is not good for improvement. The best thing you could do is get more consistent, so play longer maps and focus on getting high accuracy
Basically from my own research I determined that you pick one map then slam your head against the wall, playing to s fc a map, then move on I went from 4* to 5*(ish) in a week(from 70pp to 100pp top play) and then I went back to playing war thunder because tonks are fun and people are unaware. I need to get back to osu and set those 150pp plays
Not to long ago I started improving a lot in Osu and it was only because I work on my accuracy, went from 89% to 99% overall and because of that I was raking fast but then I started to play worse with some minor improvements but still worse, I was able to hit the majority of the jumps and some streams but I miss a lot of randoms notes and for streams I was doing kinda ok but not as well and accurate as before. Because of that I got stuck in the same rank for almost 3 days, before this I was ranking between 1k and 2k everyday, but then I noticed that my left hand had almost no grip, even grabbing a pillow felt awkward, so I took the advise to take 2 or 3 days off so that my left hand recovers from RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury)
Few reasons why I'm shifting from mouse to Pen: 1. My mouse is shit, and I can't aim as long as that "Vanity Clock - Extra" beatmap 2. I don't have table to play with ( I play on my bed, duh ) 3. My aim is slow and my cursor placement always out of sync with the original position of my mouse. ( TL;DR, had to repositioning my mouse every minute ) 4. I can no longer improve with mouse even after playing for 2 year very often ( stuck at 5.5* and can only FC 3.8* up to 4.5* if DT ) How's my progression with pen: - it's day 5th, and I manage to pass Happppy song beatmap 8* ( old ones, not the new ones ) with Relax mode on... ( I checked the unstable rate graph and yes I passed ) That map considered way out of my skill range for Mouse, but when I played it with pen, my aim is much better since I can aim literally anywhere without any weight and no need to repositioning my cursor, the only problem as for now is the grip which I need to get used to it and training my wrist ( still hurt when playing that damn map, but eh, it's worth it )
damn, i did all the "performance improvement/latency improvement" stuff and the only thing I got out of it is horrible lagspikes that weren't there before
I remember when I was playing with a friend once and he put on a stream map After failing it horribly, I said that streams are impossible for me But now even though in not very good at it and can't pass huge stream maps I've gotten better at it and can pass small maps with some streams It feels good knowing that I'm making progress towards something I considered impossible "Play more" is practically the best advice you can give to someone imo

you should buy new devices if you feel like you've been putting up with your old devices for too long, and that you want a new device, not because you want to improve at osu.

Thank you so much for the "High performance" NVIDIA osu setting dude

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Secondly, streaming/aiming
Your initial statement makes no sense.
I'm not sure I even understand it...if you can hit a certain burst it definitely does not mean you should be able to stream that BPM if you "optimize (?)" it
With aiming, I don't have much to comment on.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Genetics is the ultimate cop-out excuse for osu! players, understandably that makes a lot of people sick of hearing of it. Unless we had a machine that could let us switch bodies there's no way to prove that it is or isn't a physically genetic or mental factor
. The overuse of it as an excuse by players who don't want to put the actual time in has made it almost absolute, but then simply waving it off as an actual factor because of that is nonsense.
You actually wrote all of this? Everything good at home?
@@xXninjaXx123 I mean you can watch Spazza's video for further information about this, since this video has a bit lack of understanding on some points (the fuckin' "genetics", reaction time, stream ability, and player's playstyle)
@@arsyadazrai1976 no shit it's a joke statement
I do however think that there are people who will stubbornly refuse it's a factor at all regardless of any evidence we throw at them. Rereading it though I failed at making that point of saying that clear, my bad
Stamina is simply finding the best way to click at the speed you can, while also improving your resistance towards microscopic tear in the muscle (ie: stronger muscles)
Finding the correct way to click is vastly the most important thing, however. Because when things are working in tandem, the singular strain is greatly reduced.
Also, bodyfat percentage would also play a role in how much strain you get from clicking
so an optimal person for clicking would probably have; hypermobility, a strong forearm/palm, proper form, good rest, healthy amounts of water, sufficient vitamins on all ends, and under 15% bodyfat.
I've not seen any studies regarding the length/width of fingers, however.
A larger forearm and palm would probably help. Greater potential for muscle.
~ten minutes of research
@@atenbobi Interesting stuff
When I said I don't understand stamina I meant that as I didn't understand Bruhmaster's comment on it, since he just threw out the word "optimization" without an explanation
This is very good advice I’m definitely going to take some of this and use it towards my improvement
Changing offset in game will cause the hit sounds not to line up exactly with the music

this is so true I played 5min stream map that was impossible for me to pass, but after I played that with NF for like 20 times, I then removed NF and was actually able to pass, which was a very big accomplishment for me since my biggest weakness is streaming
a lot of people think they cant aim when THEY CAN. the big struggle for a lot of people (including me) is tapping when your cursor is on the circle. it might sound silly, but tapping is just as important if not more important than aim.
truee, i can aim 5 stars but cant tap them well so my acc goes to shit
This. I often miss a note because I tap too early or too late. Even on maps way easier than what I'm used to playing. I imagine the motion of my cursor in my head and just pray to god that my tap hand doesn't go off rhythm by even a few milliseconds. And I miss, ofc.
yeah, tapping is way more important. ive noticed this when playing with relax and stuff that i can for sure aim but miss because of bad tapping
@@vnable relax is a very bad indicator for that though since it doesnt just automatically click but also lets you overaim notes by a high amount

@edytzaler
Why didn't I think of that??!?!????!?
I feel ike learning osu is easier compared to learning competitive fps. Like in osu! it's hard to do bad practice. If you're playing a little out of your comfot zone or right at the cap of it you'll still improve and have fun at the same time. But in counter strike or valorant or similar games you have to practice on your own against bots to improve your aim or other mechanical skill which is really boring.
I haven't seen anybody say it yet but the way you said this could be you at the end of the video then showing a story of a top player was fucking genius
Well this is way better than than always hearing the common play more or plz enjoy game. Great video as always!
This is off topic but I watch you! Didn't know you still played osu :0
Blade Awesome! I am glad to hear you do :) Also yeah I really enjoy the game. It’s not something I plan to quit anytime soon

"comfortability"
I have a problem already
very good video, very good information
Its funny how I have good reaction time (kinda?) But my eye movement seriously suck. because I can't pay attention in school :p
ALSO one of my motivations to keep improving in osu!
We'll see.
*”Play More”*
Yesterday I noticed I’ve been playing with a HUGE delay for 4 years, even tho I made my first 200 pp plays after one years, I could never do better, I tried.. TRIED, so hard, and later on (4 years) I could finally make my second 200+pp map! But yesterday, YESTERDAY, I laughed for 10 minutes, then I was like... FML... 4 years dude, anyway, never give up 😂
oh hello there

“𝓖𝓲𝓽 𝓰𝓾𝓭”
Finally someone who doesn't just put his top play in his video while talking

Something else that works (at least for me) is playing 2-3 stars above what you can farm, if you can farm five stars try to pass seven stars, and don’t farm everyday. After a while when you get comfortable playing difficult songs start playing what you used to farm or harder and everything seems so much easier
Edit: also learn HD it’s free pp
1: Play High Stars maps and pass it
2: Play maps with mods or double mods or even triple or whatever
3: do the method like idke said in the video and the other methods in this video
4: fcing maps (Obv maps that you can FC)
5: Passing maps (doesnt matter how high the star is)
Thats it, and please, if anyone here saying that im dumb didnt watch the whole video, i did watched the whole video and thats why im asking this question Because im confused now and please answer it
Always playing the fun, fast, hard maps that you wanna be able to do well on is not good for improvement. The best thing you could do is get more consistent, so play longer maps and focus on getting high accuracy

6:06 how does one set to "high priority"?
task manager>osu>details>set high priority
Few reasons why I'm shifting from mouse to Pen:
1. My mouse is shit, and I can't aim as long as that "Vanity Clock - Extra" beatmap
2. I don't have table to play with ( I play on my bed, duh )
3. My aim is slow and my cursor placement always out of sync with the original position of my mouse. ( TL;DR, had to repositioning my mouse every minute )
4. I can no longer improve with mouse even after playing for 2 year very often ( stuck at 5.5* and can only FC 3.8* up to 4.5* if DT )
How's my progression with pen:
- it's day 5th, and I manage to pass Happppy song beatmap 8* ( old ones, not the new ones ) with Relax mode on... ( I checked the unstable rate graph and yes I passed )
That map considered way out of my skill range for Mouse, but when I played it with pen, my aim is much better since I can aim literally anywhere without any weight and no need to repositioning my cursor, the only problem as for now is the grip which I need to get used to it and training my wrist ( still hurt when playing that damn map, but eh, it's worth it )
play outside of your comfort zone

damn, i did all the "performance improvement/latency improvement" stuff and the only thing I got out of it is horrible lagspikes that weren't there before
I remember when I was playing with a friend once and he put on a stream map
After failing it horribly, I said that streams are impossible for me
But now even though in not very good at it and can't pass huge stream maps I've gotten better at it and can pass small maps with some streams
It feels good knowing that I'm making progress towards something I considered impossible
