It was based on a long and difficult period of my life and like you there was no magic phone call for me neither. Eventually things did get better though. Hope things worked out for you or will do soon.
The phone call doesn't have to be an actually call. The "phone call" represents the "wake up call" to force yourself out of your slumber, fight back, and slowly and gradually go back out to life and fight to live. Its a slow and gradual process which takes time. It can take 1 year, 2 years, 5 years, whatever - but over time with patience and persistence, the feeling of loneliness and depression dissipates as you engage in activities you feel good about and re/connecting with people
So sorry to hear that Anisha. Loneliness is a terrible thing. There are good and kind people out there and I hope you find friendship and happiness soon.
My loneliness led me to clinical depression after my mother died in 2005... high school was hell... college...my 20s... now 32... exhausted of life... 😣
I'm so sorry to hear about your problems. Although all of our situations are different I too went through some dark years and came out the other side. There is always hope. Just take things one small step at a time. It really helps if you can talk to someone. A friend, a neighbour, anyone willing to listen. I know it's so hard to reach out but it can really help. I wish you hope for a better future that you deserve. Just take small steps and life will get better.
