Don't listen to the people who truly don't know you. We all know how much you love all your pets and their well-being. You are a wonderful person no matter what people say ❤
That’s a short-sighted comment at best. The knowledge and standard of care you’ve shown in your videos thatve been accessed by thousands of people will and have had an incredibly positive knock-on impact, making MORE responsible owners and LESS work for rescues.
Despite your announcement of discontinuing owning rats yourself, all of your previous helpful informational videos regarding rats helped me make the decision to look after a few of my own, so that person clearly doesn't know what they're talking about :D...
Sorry for this ridiculous message. You are always honest and you had no choice. Your videos make me feel better after a hard day and the fact that you don't have rats anymore won't change a thing.❤
Oh Emi, you haven't done ANYTHING wrong!! Nothing will make these people happy, they AREN'T happy and they're taking it out on you. Keep doing everything you're doing because you are great and we love you!! ❤ You have helped me so much with my new mice, they are now 13 months old! Their names are Oreo and Whiskey 🖤🤍 Bailey x
Everyone knows you've always done THE VERY BEST for your ratties! ...and if, for reasons that are out of your control, you cannot have them any more, which must be totally heartbreaking, we know you will find THE VERY BEST NEW HOME FOR YOU'RE BOYS ❤
I'm not going to stop owning rats, because they are not for me in the first place so while I considered it because of your channel I decided against them, but not because I dislike rats. I do so much research before getting any pet and I think everyone should. Owning any pet is up to the individual person, same as you or anyone. I have definitely been overwhelmed with the care of my guinea pigs some days and thinking to myself why i got high maintenance pets when im so exhausted because of my health. But ultimately they do bring me much more happiness seeing them popcorning and hearing them wheeking at me whenever they havent seen me for a while like in the mornings or if ive been out shopping. No matter what someone said online I would not give up on them. I absolutely love them and see them as family ❤🫂
That breeder is deluded. Ignore them. You have so many videos on rats that will help support future owners. As you said, if someone gives us their rats because you’ve stopped owning them would say more about those owners - and I doubt that will happen.
I find it very hard to believe (Especially at the time it was only a week or two after I had even publically announced I was giving up rats and then haven't really spoken about rats or posted many videos since, thats a short amount of time for not just one, but apparently TWO people to use that as a reason) but giving them the benefit of the doubt that it DID happen, it's a cop out reason to give that I definitely don't condone, because there has got to be something else going on.
@@Emiology I have a very hard time believing that. Some people are just odd and pick up random vendetta's against people, especially online. I really wouldn't take it seriously unless someone else or another rescue happened to say the same thing. Even thing, someone giving up a pet for that reason just means they were looking for an excuse to get rid of them. Someone trying to say you've had anything other than a positive effect on the rat community is surreal to me.
I think it was really wrong for that person to blame you. You're not responsible for other people's actions especially adults (the ones purchasing the rats). I got interested in rats when I spotted a wild rat on my patio 3 years ago & thought he was the cutest thing ever ❤ I then stumbled across your channel as I started doing research. I can't wait to be a rat mum one day and I want the experience of owning rats. While it's disappointing that you have to end your rat journey it has not changed my mind of wanting to own them one day. All your videos have done is teach me how to care for them properly.
I just started watching your channel a couple weeks ago, I really enjoy your content rats are not, people need to realize that you can get allergic to them. After seeing your hives I realized that I was allergic to them. I haven't had them for about 5 years so we're going to see if I am still. From your content in the content from Shadow the rat inspired me to get more rats, and give them the life they deserve. I didn't realize how different care has changed over the years! Y'all are very insightful! I really appreciate the content you make and seeing your beautiful animals ❤
Hopefully even if you are still allergic to them its just the hives and doesn't turn into anything serious! It's quite common to have the hive reaction to their pee, but if you are worried about it apparently female rats bring out less of a reaction :)
I absolutely fail to understand why drama is incurred on this chill vibes channel moreso than the literal drama report channels i am also subscribed to. Her videos are too chill, fetch the taser
That was super sweet of you to do for Victoria! I miss Lola myself and seeing her remembered is really nice. I love seeing two youtubers I love and admire be friends! ❤❤❤
Honestly, I've been part of the small pet community for a few years now (mainly mice and hamsters) and the amount of rudeness and downgrading comments that come from "rescues" and "caring people" are just ridiculous! These people who are against you for stopping owning rats should realize that you are a human being and not some kind of education machine. You have valid reasons for not continuing keeping rats, including allergies. My goodness! It's not like you woke up one morning and went "I hate rats now. I'm getting rid of mine and so should everyone else." I know it's hard when people are attacking you directly through messaging or you come across negative comments, but I hope you are able to not let it get to you too much. Keep sharing what you enjoy!🌸
i just find it absurd how many people are getting so involved with your decision to stop owning rats. it’s almost like it’s none of their business!! i personally think that your decision is SO so brave and so ethical. it’s not easy to admit that you’re going to stop owning rats, especially when you’re such a big figure in the rodent community. you have and will always be such an inspiration to anyone who decides to let these little creatures into their life❤
Your Rat Care Videos are Fantastic... I've also fallen in love a bit with The Mice! And Hubble! And will continue to subscribe! Will also continue to Share your Amusing, Entertaining and Pet Welfare centered videos to anyone thinking of getting Ratties!!! (or any other of these fab little lives). Keep It Going! 💞
I’ve been watching your channel for a few months now in preparation of getting my own rats. You stopping owning them is completely your personal decision, and although I was sad to hear it at first, it is not changing my decision to get rats or care for them the best I can! You are going about your choice in the most ethical way you can, and if anything setting a GOOD example for anyone who might be in the same difficult position as you. I will still watch your rat videos for ideas and inspiration. At the end of the day you’re only responsible for you, and I’m sorry for all the negativity you’re getting about it. ❤
Ignore the ignorance of that so called rat expert! I have developed food allergies later in life and you giving up rats is the same as me avoiding the foods that now make me sick. You are being very responsible about how you are gradually stopping keeping rats by NOT dumping them at a rescue. It is hard to give up something you love but is making you ill.
That comment really doesn't make much sense, does it? Speaking for myself, I absolutely adore my mischief and I won't be stopping keeping rats just because someone else is! Circumstances are individual and are subject to change - you are fully valid in your decision to stop owning rats, and you are doing so ethically. Also, it's lovely to see how much you are enjoying Nebby and Nimbus :)
Don't listen to negative people we know how much you love and care about your rats and all your pets just do what's best for you and your pets your pets know you love them the rats know you love them and that's all that matters❤❤❤❤
This video is so cute. I love watching these blogs before I go to bed. They really help me wind down and relax. I always seem to have sweet dreams about my little buddies when I watch these. Also would love if he made another cage reviewing video. I have one of my own and would love to send it to you.
I'm so sorry so hear that you're being attack. I really hope you are doing okay. I was once being attacked very terribly too. I told myself that i did nothing wrong, and have proven records. Your health is definitely more important than any pets. If they don't know what health means, i have no words. We are human and we live once too. It is your own life. I learned a lesson from cyber attack, someone taught me and i woke up from that moment. When we didn't meet someone in real life, they are simply just keyboard warriors. Trust and believe in yourself, and i know you did all that you could too! Stay strong ❤
I just wanted to say, YOU GO GIRL!❤ I love all of your videos you have taught me how to properly setup a rat cage now my mouse clover and basil live the best life, I am a little bummed you quit owning rats but it’s ok it’s your choice and you go keep making videos!❤❤🎉🎉😊😊❤🎉😊
I have always wanted to own Rats but I'm currently unable to due to living agreements. Your decision to stop owning Rats is completely your choice, and it has not influenced me in the slightest to stray away from my future dream of possibly rescuing some Ratties. Chinchillas are certainly not for me but I am still really enjoying their content just as much as your Rat videos. I adore all your furry friends💖 Pay no mind to the rude whiny adult child trying to predict the future of your actions 😂
I haven't been watching your channel for too long but become obessesed with your videos and learning about pets that I most likely won't own (as my home is overrun with rescue cockatiels that need all my time haha) and when you made your announcement of decieding to stop owning rats, I knew that it must have been one of the hardest choices of youre life to come to terms with and it must have been so scary to come on here and tell us! but you handled it beauitully and spoke about it in a personal way that made me respect you even more, I dont understand how that rescue centre could see your video and see it as a negative?? They are going after the wrong person, you have done nothing but bring so much important infomation on rodents of all sizes (and more!) but there are youtubers who abuse their pets onpurpose or buying a pet without the research and putting them in tiny cages, those are the people they should be messaging and bringing awareness to, not the sweet youtube channel that is filled with the brim to correct and important animal care!
Fantastic Nature footage! Sometimes, people (not you obviously) 'rescue' baby deers thinking they're abandoned (same happens to fledgling birds) - they haven't been! Mum/Parents will be around somewhere! Maybe you could do some vids on subjects like this? You explain information/ care so well, without making it too complicated 🙂 (My old boys rats and I enjoy sleeping, eating and a few snuggles...on their terms though! 😄😉🥰).
Yes! I’ve been seeing a lot of videos of people doing that with deer lately. On the camera she seems to only move between areas two or three times a day which tracks with how often she would be checking on or feeding a baby 🤞🏼
Oh wow... That message from the breeder... Even though I resonate with all of your reasons (besides allergies cuz I don't have that haha) I'm still keeping rats. Would be lying if I said I didn't think of giving myself a break because of my mental health... But like come on... I know we are calling everyone on social media "influencer"... But use your own brain people 😅🤭 Rats or not I'm still enjoying your channel 😇
hi Emiology😊 I am new to owning mice and I would like some tips. but the thing I'm most curious of is what should I feed them? Right now I have been feeding them bird seed, oats, dog kibble, and the occasional fresh fruit and veggie. I really want the best for my mice and need some help thanks! Ps. I've been doing my research and trying my best but I just need a second glance from a professional!✨ Thank u!!!!💖❤
Hey I also have a question- my mice groom eachother (one more than the other) to the point where one has pinkish red patches on her nose. Is this normal? They're not bright red and she doesn't seem to be sore at all, I just worry about it. Thanks! ❤🐁
Who are these people, they should be ashamed. Very good you expose them and their accusations. You are not responsible for idiots that maybe ... Stop owning rats. Is that an organization or just someone who pretents to be?
I don't get this whole criticism you've got. I remember you were also critised for keeping your male mouse alone. You're actually the only youtube (whom I know) who teaches proper mice/rat care. I'm planning to get mice because of your videos ❤
Ive had ppl on fb calling me wrong after I said I'm not sure I'll have anymore. I have things going on in my life that are out of my control. My two boys decided to take chunks out off my fingers last wk. Totally out of the blue. I wouldn't think of giving them away, even though Ive been on antibiotics not being able to use my hands all wk. But I'm not going to judge anyone, we all have our own lives that sometimes mean we can't have pets. Ppl that send out stupid posts like that so called rat group.... Honestly need a head wiggle, because you've never shared anything but good advice. They are talking like you are going to dump your rats! Obviously your not..
I hope your hand gets better soon! Rat bites can be so nasty :( I've been so responsible about my exit to rat ownership, and by sharing that seem to have annoyed them although I hope by sharing it encourages anyone who has already made that decision for themselves, to see how to do it properly rather than just dumping them at a rescue (which can't be helped sometimes) My remaining rat/s have an amazing home lined up with a friend who is so excited to love them and it makes me feel much better about the whole situation.
@@Emiology nail bites aren't my fav pain. But maybe it was an off day. 🤔 I'm not sending my moomins away for anything. They are over 2 yrs old now. I've had them over a yr, and maybe they are just getting owld and grumpy. Big hugs from Geordieland x
I have 2 GUINEA pigs, I know they love oat sprays, are there any other ones piggies can have? I can research it myself, I'd like to buy some, they look so fresh and so big! Thanks!
That first comment has made me so angry on your behalf. It is incredibly ridiculous and I’d say even dangerous and selfish to tell someone with allergies to keep owning a pet for influencing reasons. Like yes any influencer has a responsibility when they have pets but you‘ve been so open about your reasons and taking us along this journey. As if your decision hasn’t been hard enough already, you‘ve done your best to explain everything and showing a responsible way to give up on owning rats is way better for pet health and care than keep owning them when you don’t want to, including the influence on the audience. Not that I think the comment has any truth to it. As you said, in the end other people’s decisions is nothing you have power over you can only give information, which you are doing aplenty. You’re incredibly helpful to the pet community and all the people who don’t understand what you‘re doing and how you’re helping should truly just keep their mouths shut. And on a lighter note: I am so happy that you‘re so happy with owning chinchillas
Hi Em, I was really hoping you could reply to this comment, I am in desperate need of advice. I have two pet rats and one of them is having shallow breathing, I have tried him on antibiotics and it hasn’t helped, he is very clingy and always waiting by the cage for me. He isn’t eating like he usually does and is very lethargic, what do I do? Is it worth it to try steroids or is it too late for him? And would it be better to think about euthanasia. He will be two years old in a couple of months, my other rat is completely fine and super happy.
It could also be his heart / heart failure due to his age if antibiotics haven’t worked. It often presents the same as some respiratory infection symptoms. See if the vet will give you some medication for heart failure and it might hopefully buy you a bit more time with him 🤞🏼
honestly that breeder is out of order. You didn't need to make this and frankly they owe you an apology for that silliness. Surely it's on breeders to make sur they home to forever homes over blaming you!
Sure you showing how wonderful they are might encourage people to get rats but I'm pretty sure once you get them you don't need any external forces effecting your choice to keep them. You'll fall in love all on your own! Plus it's not like you're the only person online with rats. Such an odd comment.
I foster for a rescue and it never once crossed my mind that your videos would make people stop owning rats. Very bizarre! If anything you're encouraging responsible pet care
When I sent it to two of my friends who run registered charities that take in rats that I've raised money for in the past they just laughed and reassured me
That message sounds like it comes from a very young person. You are a powerful woman but daym I dont think you are in power of other ppl's will :P Verry silly thing to write to someone. Keep strong, you are doing whats rigth for you
Not your responsibility. You don’t deserve that kind of guilt trip. The reality is there is much more nuance behind why people impulse buy and rehome…not just because of one expert/influencer! What they said was mentally lazy and ignorant. Unfortunately, people will make mistakes with animals either way. Your health should always come first, no matter what any “expert” or random stranger has to say about you
Also your videos will make people understand that rats are as easy as they seem and will stop and make people think twice about getting rats in the first place. Therefore less rats will be in rescues
uhm... it's your choice? lol.. kinda laughing bc it sound so stupid.. just bc you're a public person doesn't mean it's your responsability to make sure everyone is keeping their pet rat? like would people still blame you if you'd never made a video about rats?? omg.. I don't see the problem at all.. you do you! I'm still gonna watch your videos bc it's not just about the rats. Love your channel! ((sry for bad english, i'm from sweden xD))
What? Like genuinely, what? That comment is so ignorant and short sighted. Hope that you understand that the comment is not true, and you’re a wonderful owner, and just had circumstances! Unrelated note, but I need advice really badly. My dad, who had rats as a kid, has finally let me get some! But, there’s a REALLY big problem… my cage hasn’t arrived, and my birthday is tomorrow. We’re getting them tomorrow, even though my cage won’t be here for another 3 days. That means, the normal time that they’d be adjusting to their cage, they’ll be adjusting to a different temporary tub. I tried to protest, but my dad is one hundred percent set on getting them tomorrow. It’s not that temporary cages are like torture or anything, but I feel like it’s better if I have the cage ready and just move them straight into that. Anyone, even random people on yt, any advice/ is it okay for them to live in a tub (with a mesh lid ofc) until I get their main cage? (A single CN btw!)
trying to attack you for being unable to keep your rats anymore is just ridiculous... also the hypocrisy of a breeder telling you that you're the reason why rescue's cannot keep up with rat intakes, when they're literally creating more animals that take potential homes away from those same rescue rats they seem so concerned about 🤨 I'm not anti breeders btw, they definitely have their place in animal keeping, just find it very strange they'd try to blame you, a single keeper, for over filled rescues, while they themselves aren't really helping the issue in the first place...
I feel like the people who are saying that you will have a domino effect on people not owning rat is just silly because all you done is promote rats and I would have never gotten my rats if you didn’t say how amazing and how wonderful they are. Even when you are super allergic you still promoting rats. It’s not your fault that you can’t own rats without having a reaction so I think it’s completely fine that you aren’t keep them. Seriously though they could have had a completely different life if you didn’t have the rats you had or had if you didn’t get them. Sorry if am just going off topic lol but I don’t think people should make you feel guilty for making people get rid off their rats when you have mostly have said positive things about rats.
In regards to NFRS registered Ratery insinuation you giving up the hobby “will influence us to do the same”, I disagree, I just got into the hobby and am not influenced by your interest to retire, that behavior would be bizarre; I doubt anyone is actually doing that.
It's absolutely ridiculous that someone even approached you with this nonsense. Everyone that follows you knows it wouldn't have been an easy decision at all and one that is very upsetting for you. I don't believe for a second anyone is giving up their rats because you've said you are. Sounds like a childish personal attack to me.
This is an opinion based on my personal experiences with breeders, but I don't trust or like most 'ethical' breeders anymore. All this nonsense about ethics, while they willingly create abominations like hairless rats, Harleys, and even tailless rats. While those rats will always have skin issues, eye issues, lactation issues.. And this linebreeding stuff.. No matter how they try to spin it, simple reproductive biology taught us that when you linebreed you greatly increase the risk of doubling the bad genes as well. And try to trace all those genetic defects back to the original pair after dozens of 'defective' rats and their offspring are already born. From my experience even dumbo rats get ear infections more often, because of their shorter ear canals. Rats are not fashion items that get bred for fancy colours or because people want something new and different. I adopted several rats from a shelter in the past, and even when they can be difficult to get them to trust people again, and even when they have other issues, or they can be with us less long because they are (usually) a bit older when you adopt them, I would still rather adopt than ever get a rat from a breeder again. I have come across so much negativity from so-called reputable breeders and even from other rescuers about my methods (like how I introduce my rats). While I am only trying to do my best for those specific rats. I started this year with 5 rats, and I am now down to 2. One was over 33 months old and had to be PTS because of old age issues, one was not even 2 years old and had to be PTS because of a middle ear infection that turned bad, and Wednesday I lost one of my rats because she had problems during the recovery after a large mass was removed from her abdomen. She would have turned 1 on July 15th. Losing 3 rats within 7 weeks is hard. I love rats, and I think they make great pets. They are very intelligent and they can be very affectionate. But if people ask me if they should get pet rats I do warn them. Rats can get very costly in vet bills, and the devastating emotions when their health is declining and the then having to make the decision to have them PTS is hard. From what I already paid in vet bills this year I could have bought over a hundred rats. But I would still do it again. It is my duty as an owner to provide the best medical care for my rats from Day One. People will always judge you for your choices. And they can get very petty when you don't follow their exact methods. While your method is as valid as theirs. I had over 40 rats in 22 years. And yes, I made a lot of beginners mistakes back then. But I am still learning and still adapting my methods whenever I learn new things. Your channel provided very good information about how to properly care for rats. And yes, you also made beginners mistakes. But you grow as an owner, and everyone is fallible. As long as we learn from our mistakes and try to improve according to the best information that is available at the time. (Being neurodivergent or not. Coming from a longtime rat owner with ADHD and mild spectrum issues). Take care, keep doing what you are doing and how you are doing it. You are honest about what you are doing and why you are doing it, and you also take about the difficulties you come across.
That's ridiculous! Love your content, but it's not like you're a Kardashian or Taylor Swift...ppl aren't going to toss their rats because you decide to go in a different direction with your pets. That person needs to come back to earth.
I'm glad it stung in a way and I'm glad you've now addressed it :) ultimately when you have a large online presence you don't always realise the knock-on effects of the things you say and do
I’ve been doing this long enough to realise the effects what I say can have, and how to word things carefully so that they’re not twisted or influencing negatively. It’s a shame those who aren’t as adept at using the internet aren’t as careful with their choice of words and how they can hurt others 🤷🏻♀️
Why are you glad it stung? You expect her to just keep owning rats when she literally can't becauses she's allergic?? Her saying she's not owning them anymore literally won't make anyone just randomly give there rats up because she did. The Rattery who messaged that should be ashamed. Its pathetic. Emi doesn't even need to tell us why she doesn't own them anymore Her video won't effect any rescue ect let's be realistic. Honestly, I think it's disgusting that a grown adult who owns a Rattery is mad that someone won't make videos of rats anymore just because it might make sales stop for them which i doupt. It's weird.. Even more odd that your saying its okay for her to be getting these messages
@@Emiology respectfully... Apparently not, and that's okay. I don't think it's the kind of thing many people would forsee or would think would happen. Like you said, it's not your fault if people are relinquishing rats to rescues because you're giving them up, but it was important to bring it up now you know about it and remind some people that you not having them anymore isn't simply a trend to follow. If anything, the rescue messaging you is a good thing rather than this going on behind the scenes. I know that would make me feel worse than not being told
I’d appreciate being told after the fact when/ if it happened (which I still have my doubts, don’t believe everything you read on the internet and I don’t believe word of mouth either. I find it odd that they apparently had ‘two people in a week’ use it as a reason, when no one else had. A week after I publically announced I was stopping owning rats and then hadn’t really been that active online since, it’s a quick turn around for someone else to make that type of decision) if I had been directly contacted in a mature manner to say that it had happened, rather than receiving angry comments out of the blue and then having to dig the information out of them at why they were angry at me, guns blazing. A simple “this has happened, I can’t believe they used this reason, can you?’ Would’ve been much better received than blaming me straight off the bat for something I didn’t even know had occurred, getting their little friendship group involved. I just hope they have a more mature response when dealing with the surrender of rescue animals and how much of a sensitive decision it can be to give up an animal, rather than giving them the same level of anger as I was on the receiving end of.
@@Emiology I don't think sharing the message in a video is appropriate either, so perhaps it's unfair to make that judgment about the rescue yet feel your actions are justified :/

You have valid reasons for not continuing keeping rats, including allergies. My goodness! It's not like you woke up one morning and went "I hate rats now. I'm getting rid of mine and so should everyone else."
I know it's hard when people are attacking you directly through messaging or you come across negative comments, but I hope you are able to not let it get to you too much. Keep sharing what you enjoy!🌸
So glad the chinchillas are doing great. So cute
i just find it absurd how many people are getting so involved with your decision to stop owning rats. it’s almost like it’s none of their business!! i personally think that your decision is SO so brave and so ethical. it’s not easy to admit that you’re going to stop owning rats, especially when you’re such a big figure in the rodent community. you have and will always be such an inspiration to anyone who decides to let these little creatures into their life❤
Your Rat Care Videos are Fantastic...
My Rex rabbit was named Valley and she was such a sweet girl. Unfortunately we lost her a little less than 8 months after bringing her home.
Roe deer AND Muntjac deer and badgers 😭😭 amazing!!
That little mushroom hide for the mice is insanely cute 😭😭😭
also i have to ask, what is that one wild animal on your yard? The one that looks like a smaller, rounder headed deer? I have never seen that before!
Don’t worry emi you did not influence me to stop owning rats 😂
The trail cam footage was so cool
Some people want someone to put the blame on for everything, just ignore them 🙅♀️
That comment really doesn't make much sense, does it? Speaking for myself, I absolutely adore my mischief and I won't be stopping keeping rats just because someone else is! Circumstances are individual and are subject to change - you are fully valid in your decision to stop owning rats, and you are doing so ethically. Also, it's lovely to see how much you are enjoying Nebby and Nimbus :)
Don't listen to negative people we know how much you love and care about your rats and all your pets just do what's best for you and your pets your pets know you love them the rats know you love them and that's all that matters❤❤❤❤
I'm just now getting rats as you are getting rid of yours but I'm so thankful to you you have educated me a ton and ilysm girl❤❤
Lovely trail camera footage :)
In the words of shaggy - it wasn’t me
😂😂😂
No one needs to see our DMs of us crying over life 😅

Love your sprays they look beautiful
Hubble is so big now! Cool vlog.
thanks for answering my question about Hubble!!
Can’t wait to watch!! ❤
I think that person who messaged you is just a troll because I don’t think anyone who actually works in a rescue would say such things.
They’re fully a real grown adult who’s active in the rat world 😮💨
@@Emiology oh geeze they are certainly very ignorant
Sounds like a very angry individual, i would ignore it and try not to take it to heart. Wildlife camera was fabulous ❤
"i can send these anywhere in the world!" me: OMG YAY!! "besides australia" me: nooooo
story of my life as an australian lmao
The customs are so strict 🥲
@@Emiology it really is! its a shame, but at least its good at keeping our native wildlife safe :)
I adore all your furry friends💖
Pay no mind to the rude whiny adult child trying to predict the future of your actions 😂
Sometimes, people (not you obviously) 'rescue' baby deers thinking they're abandoned (same happens to fledgling birds)
- they haven't been! Mum/Parents will be around somewhere!
Maybe you could do some vids on subjects like this? You explain information/ care so well, without making it too complicated 🙂
(My old boys rats and I enjoy sleeping, eating and a few snuggles...on their terms though! 😄😉🥰).
Yes! I’ve been seeing a lot of videos of people doing that with deer lately. On the camera she seems to only move between areas two or three times a day which tracks with how often she would be checking on or feeding a baby 🤞🏼
Hey Emi! This is unrelated to the video but I can't find any information on polyester in rat cages. Can rats have polyester? Thanks!
If you can't stand mold never get hermit crabs it's just par for the course for them and aspect of their wild diet
Goodness me! Thats awful! I’m so sorry that you are being bullied in this way! Unacceptable. It’s your wonderful life! You live it your way.
YESSS I WAS WAITING FOR THIS VIDEO!!
Thanks! ❤🐁
Emi you need a horse to get that grass down 😂
There used to be horses in there 😂
@@Emiology perfect 👌 😂
❤❤❤
Who are these people, they should be ashamed. Very good you expose them and their accusations. You are not responsible for idiots that maybe ... Stop owning rats. Is that an organization or just someone who pretents to be?
How are your allergies with the kitty cat I thought rat and cat allergies were very similar? :)
I'm not allergic to him at all, its the rat urine I'm allergic to not fur :)
Rat bites can be so nasty :(
I've been so responsible about my exit to rat ownership, and by sharing that seem to have annoyed them although I hope by sharing it encourages anyone who has already made that decision for themselves, to see how to do it properly rather than just dumping them at a rescue (which can't be helped sometimes)
My remaining rat/s have an amazing home lined up with a friend who is so excited to love them and it makes me feel much better about the whole situation.
@@Emiology nail bites aren't my fav pain. But maybe it was an off day. 🤔
I'm not sending my moomins away for anything.
Thanks!
I’m not too sure what guinea pigs can have!
I’m lost for words….I think I’d be inclined to have a louder send that rescue a letter in view of their unfounded and slanderous accusation.
They’re now the ones threatening me with legal action 😅😂
Wow I can’t believe people have the audacity to blame you for the over crowding in shelters. Shame on them
The message you received is so irritating, if someone rehomes an animal it’s not your fault, it’s the owner decision ❤❤
See if the vet will give you some medication for heart failure and it might hopefully buy you a bit more time with him 🤞🏼
@@EmiologyThank you so much, I will talk to the vet about this ❤️
honestly that breeder is out of order. You didn't need to make this and frankly they owe you an apology for that silliness. Surely it's on breeders to make sur they home to forever homes over blaming you!
Would you ever get pet ducks :0
Thats the plan!
You are a powerful woman but daym I dont think you are in power of other ppl's will :P
Verry silly thing to write to someone. Keep strong, you are doing whats rigth for you
I know you don’t wanna rats anymore but can you still do rat cage reviews?🐁❤
I probably won’t! Haven’t done them for a while now
Not your responsibility. You don’t deserve that kind of guilt trip. The reality is there is much more nuance behind why people impulse buy and rehome…not just because of one expert/influencer! What they said was mentally lazy and ignorant. Unfortunately, people will make mistakes with animals either way. Your health should always come first, no matter what any “expert” or random stranger has to say about you
Miskitos are the WORST😭😭
Also your videos will make people understand that rats are as easy as they seem and will stop and make people think twice about getting rats in the first place. Therefore less rats will be in rescues
You’d think 😅 one of my first videos has 1.2 million views and a lot of the comments on that are “ugh I don’t want rats now” good!
uhm... it's your choice? lol.. kinda laughing bc it sound so stupid.. just bc you're a public person doesn't mean it's your responsability to make sure everyone is keeping their pet rat? like would people still blame you if you'd never made a video about rats??
A temporary small barred cage would be better than a tank 😊
trying to attack you for being unable to keep your rats anymore is just ridiculous... also the hypocrisy of a breeder telling you that you're the reason why rescue's cannot keep up with rat intakes, when they're literally creating more animals that take potential homes away from those same rescue rats they seem so concerned about 🤨 I'm not anti breeders btw, they definitely have their place in animal keeping, just find it very strange they'd try to blame you, a single keeper, for over filled rescues, while they themselves aren't really helping the issue in the first place...
Good grief, that's absurd of them to say :/ Anyone who's actually watched your videos would know that it wasn't a decision you took at all lightly.
* ... talk about the difficulties... *
Emi doesn't even need to tell us why she doesn't own them anymore
Her video won't effect any rescue ect let's be realistic.
Oh Emi, you haven't done ANYTHING wrong!! Nothing will make these people happy, they AREN'T happy and they're taking it out on you. Keep doing everything you're doing because you are great and we love you!! ❤ You have helped me so much with my new mice, they are now 13 weeks old! Their names are Oreo and Whiskey 🖤🤍
