Knopfler and Gilmour are THE examples / proof in the history of guitar playing that you don't need 1000 notes in 10 seconds, all kind of difficult arpeggios and speedy legatos: this is what music is about: emotion and melody.
Who are you exactly to say that this is what music is all about? What about great artists like Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan - they also make beautiful music people enjoy listening to.
@@kb_dev dont get so emotional. I listened to Satch, Vai and Govan too. They are technically skilled but don’t make the kind of melodies like Gilmour for example
@@christian-van-e That's just completely subjective. You're being extremely arrogant by claiming otherwise.
@@kb_dev thats a bit bold. It's also proven fact that Gilmour for example has made one of the best solo's in the world, submitted/voted by many listeners around the world (Comfortably Numb). None of the work of Vai or Satriani are in these kind of user-generated (!) lists (not by some nitwit editor that thinks Kurt Cobain belongs in a top 10 best guitarists ever list). So, it's factual, but indeed: music is not a competition in the first place, but some things are simply facts.
@@christian-van-e That's just not how facts work. A vote like that is an opinion - not a fact.
So yeah, in the eyes of many guitarists, Comfortably Numb is perhaps the most beautiful solo ever written. That doesn't make it a fact, and there's no way a 'proof' could be established here.
My favourite song, that ending always gets me!! Amazing how you make that little guitar sound🎸
same here!!
The final, swelling note when Mark plays this tune live… beautiful. Very nicely played, as always, Pavel.
That’s simply lovely, straight from the heart, this beautiful Serenade…
Lovely..! Only just need to have good fingers and good feeling..! Greetings from Portugal! 👋👋👋
Beautiful control of the volume knob. Bravo Pavel
This really shows that its not about the number of notes or equipment, but the way that it is played.
That was stunning, Pavel. 🎉🎉
Dare I say, "CC"=(Carbon Copy)! When you dissect MK's music, you really do it justice!!
☮️❤️🙏🏽
Denise from MA
Thank you so much! I don't mind being a carbon copy, as I have nothing to lose and nothing to prove, I'm just enjoying some good music. Glad you liked it!
So true !!!
Nicely played Pavel. I'm a bit jealous of the beautiful sky and scenery outside your window. Cloudy and miserable here in Toronto Canada today.
Pretty awesome Thunderstorm though!
Squier for the win.
Squier by Fender made in Japan are awesome to play
If you can get it, haha! I bet they are really good.
But everyone dream that guitar. Beautiful tone and great feeling Pavel. Congratulations
Thank you!
Simply amazing what you pull off playing with limited resources. Just beautiful. Keep it up Pavel!
Yeah, limitations seem to have a big impact on inspiration. Thank you!
I wish this was longer!
No meu país essa sua guitarra custa mais de 10k
Pavel always at the top!
Just lovely
You are a master! Amazing stuff.
Romeo & Juliet !
sweet! Still wish i had a $10k guitar though
Beautiful brother!
Your videos are great. Regards from Brazil.
Bravo ! Love this song.
Hello Pavel. I'd like to know what's your setting in Logic Pro when you're plug the guitar trough the fender mustang. Do your create a Guitare track (no amps ?) or Software Instrument ? a MIDI track ?
Thank you for your answer.
Please…
Beautifully played as always! Nice song pick too!
Thank you! It was a sudden idea, the whole thing took less than a day to execute...
Great solo Pavel. Could you do a short video to show how do you record? How are you connected with the computer? How do you modify the Guitar sound in logic prox ?Raphael from France.
A great version 🙌
What a treat. Thank you
Glad you enjoyed it!

Hello, great cover! Would it be possible for you to do a lesson on Mark Knopfler's song called "I used to could"? It has a great blues vibes and I'm struggling to understand how to play it. Keep up the good work, you're amazing😊
Sure, I'm constantly learning new tunes! Thank you so much.
Great !
Lovely paying!!❤

Great version….great touch! Compliments
….but with a € 10000 guitar I feel reacher! 😀
Приятно, Павел. Спасибище!
Pavel, how do you do the swelling mate?
Volume knob! And hammer-ons in the left hand.
Layla next Pavel
I can't believe I dunno this song. Can someone please give me the name of it?
Yes, I can. The song is "Romeo And Juliet", one of Mark Knopfler's masterpieces.
After watching your sailing to philadelphia, theres a blue mini strat at home.
Congrats! It's a beautiful little thing.
Pavel send me your backing track please 🙏
Sure! Send me an email at fffoma@gmail.com, and I'll send it back. It's a simple strumming guitar though.
Are you still in Turkey Mr Pavel?
Yes, I'm still in Turkey, but can't travel much across the country because my Turkish foreign passport has expired :(
@@PavelFomenkov wow what r u doing here 😂 im surprised youre here lol, let me know if you need anything mate 👌🏼
10k $ guitar? Here, I can't even afford 100$ guitar
"You and me, babe... how about it?"
No but you do need 10000 hours
Haha! Exactly.
@@PavelFomenkov love your channel, your video's are a bit to high level for me at the moment but once i reach those 10,000 i can play with them.
Kinda nonsensical title to be honest.
In other words, clickbait. Yes, I'm aware of that, but I almost never use clickbait titles, that's the first one in ages. And naturally, the video blew up (by my channel's standards). UA-cam loves this stuff, but I'm not going to repeat that.
@@PavelFomenkov I appreciate that you recognize it. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of people that think expensive guitars are important to have a good tone, but $10k is definitely clickbaity haha. You could go with $1000-2000, that would make a lot more sense :D
I used this figure simple because on the live video Mark is playing exactly a $10,000 guitar, and I always thought it's not necessary to enjoy this solo, hence the title 😃
