@@SteveVi0lence Admittedly, the difficult part of grunts on legendary is their endless grenade spam, not their suicide mode. Suicide mode just means they kill themselves and saves you ammo.

I REALLY like how they added in a melee attack for them. On heroic it drops about a quarter of your shield, which I think is a bit much considering we're literally a battle hardened master chief wearing advanced spartan gear, but it's only a game changing thing on legendary

Loving the new Grunts, their dialogue is great. A bit morbid but when you electrify the grapple and use it on a Grunt their scream is just so great in a "Wow, great job with the audio game designers" way.
The extra funny part if you grapple a Grunt? He just may say to you in a 'i am so done with this bullshit' way "Okay, I know you weigh more than I do."
It says a lot how being treated ss equals to the other species in the Banished really brought out more of their potential. Like they even have Grunt Officers that LEAD parties of Elites and Brutes
@@Benthorpy I mean, the Grunt Ultras never run away. And do take slightly more effort to take down than a standard Brute too. ...I have also been killed by more Grunt Ultras than most Brutes that aren't Chieftains tbh. Their grenade placement and shock/needler spam is on point too
I came across this spot by accident. I was heading towards the FOB for the area and didn't see this outpost here as anything until suddenly *every grunt in the area pulls their grenades and starts charging*
I remember one time when I was fighting a brute and one of the grunts went suicidal, I jumped out of the way to continue fighting the brute when suddenly the brute grabs the grunt and throws it at me. I stared at the loading screen completely bamboozled.
I was really hoping for an exact Halo wars 2 style banished base here with resource collectors and energy collectors lol, sadly didn’t get it. Just would’ve been another cool node to us halo wars fans

To see Jerome in fps Halo would’ve been cool Also, how tf did the Spirit of Fire and it’s crew hold off the Banished when UNSC Infinity gets destroyed in the opening scene lol
I'm going to keep saying this until 343 hears me; I want a Grunt follower in SP. Make it a paid for DLC, I don'tcare. My only condition is that I want him to completely spaz out during combat.

It’s weird how grunts are actually a threat in this game. In every other Halo game I would just casually walk up to them and melee but in this they actually do damage.
Yea I got an achievement for killing one a brute threw snd I didn’t see him throw it just the grunt fly around the corner on legendary as he said “make yourself useful”
Reminds me of a line in the first Halo novel where the Chief reminisced about seeing the Grunts charge a position in large masses until there were tons of corpses and the defenders were out of ammo.

I just played this area of the game and dear god it got me salty on heroic difficulty, the 1 million sniper jackals in one end and the army of suicide grunts that sneak up on you just when you don't expect it. What an experience xD

They also have amazing accuracy with plasma nades. I've been stuck more times by grunts than ive died to bosses lol.

Yeah, they make cool references and callbacks, the usual of showing respect and optimism when Chief's around, and pretty funny insults in battle.

@@Rschont11 it was mostly a scout team of the banished that was on the ark. The whole fleet was still in the Milky Way
