You forgot when aldo retired the first time he spent all that time training boxing and then came back like this elite level boxer. You forgot about that? Well who else has the boxing and takedown defence like aldo? probably nobody does, he's actually a very good match up for topuria... Aldo loses if you make it a hug fest and try hold him against the cage the whole time, that's the only way you can go out there and beat aldo. And not to mention a lot of aldo's last fights were robberies too or he was winning most the time. And aldo's style makes him quite hard for topuria as well since aldo stays on the outside and this seems to be what topuria struggles with the most is guys who stay on the outside instead of coming forward because topuria is quite short and to use boxing you have to be quite close range anyway

I think having a decompression chamber is next level. The advantages it could give with recovery seem like they could be very significant. Seeing his training methods and his house showed a lot. Everything about him seems next level.

Ilia started to looked different in round 2 , he adjusted his gameplan and started landing some hard blows. Max was winning but ilia stay composed, then landed those devaststing shots that even a granite chin of max couldn’t take. Congrats to the champ, a new era has began.

Max has the best chin at in 2 divisions. I can’t believe he actually got KOd. Topuria was sharp. He slippped punches and kick perfectly. He has great eyes and timing.
No way on this earth that Topuria should be under Jones who arguably lost to one legged Santos, did lose to Reyes and then finally subbed Gane who had just lost to Ngannou. Topuria just killed Max and Volk. He is definitely number 3.

When Topuria stunned Max with that right hand and had Max retreating, that was the beginning of the end. Dude was hurt bad.
It was the calf kicks ilia landed. Max's footwork wasn't there anymore from rd 2 and 3 as max sat there in front of him. Watch rd 1 as it was competitive when max had his footwork and was moving around. Max didn't check 1 kick

Spot on. Lead up to the fight I kept thinking Llia has to do what Volk did in all three fights and take away Max footwork. Once that was gone Llia was able to land the big right.
3:13 is just crazy. He still hasnt showed what he’s capable enough yet. He showed some takedowns today, but it’s just because his boxing is just so good that he doesn’t need to use wrestling or BJJ.
