For me just about the best thing about 4WD shows is looking at other peoples setups. I’m in Australia and very jealous of your Jeep setups, very cool..
That’s my favorite part too. I enjoy seeing how other people build out their rigs. It’s funny that you are jealous of our Jeeps because I heard multiple people at this event drooling over Land Rover (older defender series) setups.
Jake , hey bud , great video here , was great meeting you , I’m the owner of the 1st gen tundra , thank you for adding me to your bud here , super cool ,,,,,I hope to c u in the next one ,,,,I’m going to start following u here ,,,,happy Easter bro 😎🤙🏻✌️
Great meeting you too man! You’ve got a sweet Tundra for sure. I’ll be sure to try to make it down next year too. Thanks for the follow and happy Easter as well!
I only wanna see one thang. And... that is the Snorkel Booth. I want to see the New and Exciting Dual Snorkels that are taking Europe by storm and especially in Bavaria.
I don’t even know the difference honestly. I am new to this whole overland thing. I wouldn’t call myself an overlander either. I just go camping with my little Jeep trailer lol
I agree. I built my trailer by bartering around. So I’ve done it pretty economical. I honestly thought that my setup would have been considered on the luxury side at this event. I was definitely wrong. Mine was barely a step above a ground tent 😂
You could travel around the world comfortably many times with the cost of all this unnecessary BS people now add to their car. Camel Trophy had medical kits and RTT and that’s pretty much it. This stuff weighs so much and is so inefficient lol
I agree. You don’t think all those gadgets add up to much but it’s a substantial amount of weight. My little Jeep trailer is over 2,000 pounds now that I’ve added awnings, a tent, cooler and water storage. It got so heavy I had to add trailer brakes to it. Some people are Overloaders and not Overlanders lol
@@civilianjeeps just think, before the highway system FAMILIES drove out west on class 4 rounds in Model T Fords. Travel is the best education. You could do a lot of world travel with the cash spent on one of those rigs. I’ve done my share of overlanding and never needed anything other than good tires tent water and ground clearance.
Great video. Excellent mix of vendors and the common man setups. You earned my sub!
Thank you!
Good hanging out with you at the event.
Looking forward to more Jeep content this summer.
Good to meet you man. Keep those old full size Jeeps on the road!

You have a pretty nice setup!
Surprised to see a Wombat on display, i thought that trailer project had died
Also sprinter vans are not real overlanding right now people really need to understand the difference between van life and overlanding

I have been doing this since the late eighties, the money spent on this stuff is getting way out of hand, very cool , but unattainable for many

Rhino USA....Made in China! 😂
Everything I've bought from Ironman 4x4 is too
Those trailers are trash and not worth it, where in the hell do you put all your shit at just roof for a mattress and that’s it
