For the price of $169, the Nutsack number two should come with a nice leather belt or even just to say you did it y’all could put a nylon adjustable with some cheap plastic clicks or something.
Some nice options here and I like the fact you weren't trying to force yours on us as the best. I personally own and love the Gentlestache pouch, as well as a few maxpeditions, and a viperade ve3. Always on the lookout for more options so I really like videos like this.
Appreciate the comparison. I really love the aesthetic of the Nutsac oiled canvas, great size too. However, it doesn’t have the carry or organizational options to be a stand alone EDC pouch versus an organizer in a larger system.
Great pick. Really good information. I've been carrying the Wynex tactical admin pouch for my EDC. It has 2 zippered pockets. The smaller front pocket I have set up as my EDC pouch. The 2nd bigger pocket is set with gear that's more towards survival. I have it set up like this because sometimes it's the only bag I might have on me. If something happens and I get stuck somewhere, "again" I want to be able to make it easier to survive the situation. It's a good setup to have. I got myself in a situation last spring where I had to wait out the night and most of the next day before someone came looking. Since then, I added a small folding saw and a lot better knife.
I can't find a single pocket EDC pouch that has a metal belt clip to clip on to waist...I found plenty with snap button molle straps, but no metal belt clip. The only thing I've found with belt clips are cell phone specific pouches.
I have a shoulder strap on my admin "man bag". It's set for a 72 hr hospital stay. Contents include: cell phone, wallet, keys, insurance, pen, handi parking pass, flash light, Kaiser Mini Bay, mini driver, USB charger, knife fork spoon set, and medication. I never leave the house without it. I means I carry nothing in my pockets. It is always strapped to me so i never lose it. F*** Cancer.
Two things that keep me from Nutsac admin pouch are its price and the webbings are too small to fit a pliers-based multi-tool like Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit or Leatherman Charge.
The zero hour pouch looks perfect for my needs. I just bought a 75L internal frame hiking pack that has molle all over it. Sadly it didn't come with any molle pouches, but for the quality and price of the pack that's fine. Plus it gives you the chance to pick exactly what pouches you want. Do you need just a big empty cheap stuff pouch or do you want a super organized pouch for like a first aid kid. Probably gonna get 1 or 2 molle shoulder strap pouches, 2 or 4 side pouches (similar to the zero hour) and 1 or 2 large back pouches. I know this pack will be huge. It's more of where I will store all my camping gear, so I can just chuck the pack in the car an go. Basically everything fits in it and carries pretty easy, except for my cooler. Plus I can always leave some of the pouches at home if I want.
I really want a pouch that clips to my pants without needing a belt and sits horizontally. I need something that can carry a cell phone, my debit card, and my license and preferably has multiple pockets or elastic straps in it for other random things. If it had either a small zippered pocket on the outside that I could hold small things in (like coins/cash, post-it’s, a pen) or a transparent pocket to put my work badge in/a way to clip my badge holder to it that would be perfect. I have an Otterbox Defender on my phone and just ordered their MagSafe “Folio” attachment with the intention of using it for basically all of the stuff listed above, but when I bought it I was only thinking about home/leisure use, not work. I leave my phone out on my desk a lot and the more shit I attach to it, the more likely i am to have it stolen or to lose it so I don’t know if I’m going to keep it or not. A pouch that makes it more convenient for me to have my phone and cards with me at all times may be the optimal solution for me. Does anyone have any suggestions that fit this criteria?
I have two of your double-admins... one in each of my TacSacs. I prefer the waxed canvas to the leather. But that's just my preference. Regarding the other options, I really like the Vanquest gear. The orange ripstop nylon makes it so much easier to see things in the pouch. Plus they have some larger pouches that will fit into a pack to make a modular setup. The Maxpedition build quality is top shelf. But I find the dark interior a huge detractor when looking for something in the pack, particularly in bright daylight. My old eyes just don't have the dynamic range that I had 30-years ago. Thanks for a great review.
Love my single admin keeps my smaller items in place. Been using my magsatch and i I can't see myself using any other sling I've tried others but nothing compares when it comes to the materials, the looks and the capacity.
Feedback - Regarding the Zero Hour pouch, I would have found it useful to have seen what the inside looked like with the expansion zipper opened. Maybe add extra EDC after it was opened to see what options if might offer. Thank you!
Great video but you forgot thr OG, Maxpeditio, the "inspiration" for all these. Other than that great video. I like the look of the NutSac Admin and the material and texture probably are phenomenal, but I feel it lacks organization, and for me a horizontal book type opening works best.
Paying more than $40-50 for a bag you carry in another bag is just not worth the price. Going above that you may as well buy a backpack at that point. Also the last one is a man purse.
Of the six EDC pouches exactly one of them is an EDC pouch. Everything else is just an admin bag to put in/on another bag except the big leather man purse.
Great vid. Although perhaps consider your international audience in future vids. No no-one else in the world besides US measures anything in Inches! Cm measurements would be really helpful!
I would prefer a pouch that doesn't split open with a zip... like a normal pouch with a top flap but the interior has divisions to keep items separate. 🤔
Surprised that Maxpedition didn't make the list...I like the quality upgrades on some of these but you left out any of the OG admin pouches...I'm running the Maxpedition FR-1 and loving it...👍
Product idea: I need to carry my phone - 3.25"x6.75" - and a wallet. I used to be happy to just put them in back pockets, but phone's gotten too big. If I'm using a pouch, might as well put the wallet in it. Still want to have a separate wallet for when I'm not going to bring the pouch (don't want to have to re-sort everything every time). Space for lights, pens, guns, knifes is 100% optional and should not make the pouch any bigger. The pouch needs to be as slim as it can be, to fit under jackets without creating bulk. Or, hang off the belt *below* jacket. Mustn't look too military (or my wife won't let me wear it with her) nor too fashionable (I have my principles, too). The orientation must be vertical and the opening must not allow the pouch to fully open, least things fall out while I'm getting my wallet out at the groceries. I don't believe such product exists on the market today. At least I haven't found one, and I've been looking for some time now.
Nike has several options and the materials are awesome. The prices are even better they start from $25 and up. There’s also comes with nylon belts. Straps but everything you just mentioned it is resolved with one of these Nike bags again there are different levels just like any other product but for the sizes they are a great option.
You know, that was my exact thought. Just can't see myself using one, particularly the large leather one, but if they work for somebody, more power to them.😃
I don't understand the idea behind these "pocket organizers". They are bulky, taking up way too much space for edc gear that's meant to sit in your pant pocket or jacket pockets. Putting them inside a bag that goes inside another bag, I would end up never using any of the tools. Maybe I'm missing something here tho.
A few different reasons. First, you have to remember that keeping all this gear in your pockets, means it's gonna be scratched to hell from rubbing up against each other while you move. Also, these pouches are usually for smaller gear, because keeping small little flashlights and all that in your pockets, is a good way to lose them. It also allows you to carry without having a bunch of stuff in your pockets. Some people hate that... Larger bags can "eat" your gear. You gotta dig to try and find something at times and it's annoying. Put a small pouch in your bag, and you'll always know where your gear is. It's all dependant on what your needs are. Some people don't need a pouch, they have a few things they carry and don't see the point, but these things sell like crazy for a reason.
Part of it may come down to personal preference. I carry my keys, my knife and my wallet in my pants pockets. I don't want a dozen other little things loose in there too. I've got a little pocket pouch for a small collection of other edc bits and pieces (bandaides, nylon cord, a few feet of dyct tape, etc.). I use a bugger pouch like these for a more extensive kit (multitool, phone charger, headlamp, bit set, etc.) that I don't or can't carry in my pockets. It goes in a sling bag or backpack or my luggage.
@@FidelCashflow_YT I don't mind having stuff getting scratched, it's part of normal use, except for my phone screen, never put hard things in your phone pocket! During winter there is enough space in my jackets to store everything but during summer I use one of those little sling bags to carry knife, torch, ciggies, lighter, pen and paper. The sling makes the bag 10x better instead of those edc pouches. I think a lot of edc guys think those are man purses and are too embarrassed to bring them so they go for the "tacticool edc manly pocket organizer", but then again I live in Italy where these accessories are widely used by everyone
I also have a pouch, as sling are quite convenient for storage, but I find that small items require a lot of searching, so I always carry a pouch with me for convenience and a sling to carry food, basically I prefer compactness and flexibility when moving so I limit sling as much as possible when going out 😅

It shows that these products are not meant for business people, or people who wear business casual attire. Pouches are way to bulky and will stick out in a pocket as a sore thumb. I want to see options for people that wear suit jacket no only on their funeral.
why does almost nobody make an EDC pouch that I can simply loop through my belt and keep under my shirt that isn't too pregnant looking? I need something slim but flexible to carry at least 4 of my 21700 batteries and it would be nice to also carry lots of stuff I'd rather not have in my pants pockets (charging cables, chargers, etc). It looks like only the MOLLE one can possibly be this but it's larger than a fannypack (yuck)
@@twrcrew8852 Shrug... Just a possible suggestion. Can't say I blame you as I'm too fat for one myself... Figured I'd put it out there anyway as a possibility.
