Great breakdown of a super underrated player, good work HV. Really liked how you touched on how he operates both as a quasi-creator (especially in transition) and how he operates against tilted defences. That picture-perfect high-low pass is a killer against anything and his methodical and patient style of play negates his questionable outside shooting. He gets to his spots so well. His reflexes, length and body control on defence keeps him from fouling, which is a huge boost for lineups where Towns plays the 5. Would've been good to mention how he operated defensively with more solid and conventional defences like his time in Memphis where he didn't need to switch out as much and played as a rangy forward-big who stayed more as a low man and smart double-teamer. I think his smarts and team defence is much more impressive than his 1v1 defence which you touched on much more. Overall very good display of his versatility though.

These are the dudes i want my Lakers to value in the coming years. Especially post-LeBron/AD. If we got a team of dudes like Kyle, stars will wanna come to LA. Dope video. Love Kyle's court vision the most.

Has been , and will continue to be, one of my fave players in the league.. his pace, skill , and size is special to me.. Ive been in tune since seeing him online in High School and then going to UCLA .. Im glad that San Antonio grabbed him first and allowed him to be him , they didnt try to change him

Very good pickup for the dubs. You can tell when he makes a mistake, takes blame instantly. Its what you need in defense, besides good communication and ofc skill which he has enough. His flooter in offense will help in some actions, still curious how the team will look like in second unit (will depende heavily if lauri comes or not)...

He is my HS coach's son. He was being trained hard in the gym to be a point guard at age 5, constantly working on his ball-handling skills. Then he just had some growth spurts out of nowhere. I don't think he was supposed to be that tall. I think his bros are like 6'4". As for defense...our coach was a major defensive coach. You did not play defense on a fast break, you were coming out the game real quick!

There are lots of players who went thru sudden growth spurts like that. Mason Plumlee was a point guard in HS.
