Great video, I like the idea of display tank waste water from water changes going to the Quarantine system first before being waste water. Great way to keep the systems as similar as possible. I am going to consider that for the new buildout I am working on!
Wow - this guys set up is insane! Thanks for the video Remy, so amazing that you’ve joined Reef Builders and continuing Jake’s legacy. I’m someone who’s always on UA-cam watching reef videos - Jake has left a massive hole - really miss him!
Great show..Awesome reef house...Jake the face of reef builder.. Every week I looked forward to see what Jake was going to bring to UA-cam. Never be the same....
I am fortunate to live close to Doug. Through reefing now a friend and reefing mentor. You are correct- no video will do his system justice. It’s gorgeous and amazingly designed. Careful though, you see his system in person and just open your wallet to mimic it. Great job Doug Deurloo @fishnerdcorals
Awesome to hear the wavebox is still being used, I havnt been hearing much on them or sea swirls like I used to. Not sure why they're still genius ideas that forever changed the way water can flow enough for corals your larger tanks
I have a good size fish room in my basement below the display tank too. I don't want anybody that saw this video to ever see mine! What an awesomely clean support system! And a bathroom right there too! Not that the constant sound of running water stresses the bladder...🙄
Remi congratulations you are all over the reefing community now BRSTV and now Reef Builders, I always like your videos and usually learn or see something I never knew about. Keep it up and keep Jake's legacy alive. Though I did watch the video where they said reef builders has been sold?
What os that neon red coral with the blue tips on the tentacles at about the 2:30 mark?!!!! I need thag in my life!!! Thats one of the coolest corals ive seen in a long time wow!!!
What kind of torch is that towards the end in tbe last tank thats got tentacles that one side is green and the other yellow?? Thats a wicked lookin torch i dnt k ow all the torch names uet im earning but thats why im askin so i know later n also so i can look for one to buy lol
@@douglasdeurloo2361 alright thanks for the heads up man!! Sounds like prolly gonna be out of my price range tho lol im a poors compared to most of the reefing community but who knows might get licky and come across a good deal on one!
What a wonderful setup, almost makes me want to setup a big system again... almost, I kind of enjoy not signing over a sizeable chunk of my paycheck to PG&E.
Yeah. Anyone who has a dialed in mature tank will soon have enough growth that they'll need to control. Salt gets pricey. Might as well sell frags to offset costs.
I am getting a 32-gallon biocube, and it gave me a good thought process, and I am thinking, should I go with brackish water or saltwater? If I go saltwater, I am only doing a FOWLR and only have mollies, but if I do brackish, I am going to do brackish plants and a green spotted puffer. Any ideas?
Lol. So hilarious to always see people talking about how they have had issues with Neptune products yet this company does nothing to improve their products.
@@BahamaLlamaCoral That's insane to me. I guess if you have a super tall tank. But the heat they produce, lack of CT adjustment, along with the ever quickly advancements of LED choking out any manufacturers continuing to produce them you'd have to be nuts to buy them for a new tank.
Dang, Doug seems like a super cool guy. What an awesome setup!

What a beautiful and well thought out setup. Excellent content as always. This got me inspired to redo some of my fishroom.
Doug’s tanks are amazing. His equipment and the way he has it set is equally as nice. Very clean and easy to get to. Thanks Remy for the tour.
Cool to see metal halides still being used.

Mad props to the fish room downstairs 🤙
Good job Remy! Love seeing you with reefbuilders!
What an incredible set up!
The tank is beautiful. But yes, that fish room and frag tank is stunning.
Amazing. Great work . The man has some ideas that's for sure .
Absolutely beautiful setup! I love to see how different reefers keep their aquariums. Very clean and neat

13:15 even the pros got a stack of used buckets that you just know you’ll need one day 😂
Well done.
Well thought through systems ❤

Now that's a very well thought out setup!.. 🐠💨. . .
Freaking awesome thank you for sharing RB
All halide. Love it
Thank you for sharing with us,you are doing a great job 🤠
How far are the versa pumps pumping? I’m wanting one for an ATO system.
They are pumping 6 feet vertical and 60 feet horizontal.
@@douglasdeurloo2361 this is great info. I’m needing to go 10’ vertical and about the same horizontal for my ato.
he sells corals. i was trying to figure out why he has all this setup for a 300 gallon. i noticed the sign in the room.

Sounds like brackish would give you more options on livestock. A molly only saltwater tank is an interesting concept though!
@BahamaLlamaCoral thanks for the input
Wow that is a reefing house setup
LOL small world. I graduated pharmacy school with this guy.
Real deal!
What metal halide bulb is running?
I am running 250 watt 20k Hamilton bulbs
Remy needs a 300 gallon tank at home!!
exellent we ll done
Real deal boy!!!
20 to 30K minimum to set that up if not more!! But very clean setup
I'd like to know what douge does for a living? such a nice set up!!
At the beginning it said he is a Pharmacist
I thought you were part of the BRS team already?....
He was
@@mryes413 Yes, he was.
What kind of an engineer is Doug?
You'd think right!? He's a pharmacist. VERY detail oriented. ~Remy
lmfao accidentally unliked the video because I went to like it again
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
this is a post retirement goal.
Doug DOES NOT fuck around

@@bovice1766 The guys who run Halides on their big tanks know that you can't match the growth they produce. It is what it is.
