You got WAY MORE MOXY than i sir. Using a buffing wheel like that while hold the pickguard, while avoiding the already soldiered wiring harness. One slip up and its ER with a side of SG destruction 😂. Beautiful job nevertheless. Well done sir. You earned my sub sir.👍🙏😌
The only win win when it comes to lacquer in my eyes you buy blue then get green down the line in 20 years. My Polaris white Sg’s were a hard one to swallow brilliant white to cigarette stain yellow. My sapphire blue SG starting to green up.
I was looking for a way to use an edge with certified flatness without the need to have a dedicated edge for every scale length! Also I am doing alot of modern multiscale instruments and the conventional edges wasn't working.
@@sonicalmods781 Watching it again, I am not a green fan; but she has been abused and neglected. And all SG's need love and attention. Still great work.
It reminds me of a SG special that came out around the late 2000’s. It had the Pelham blue finish with the batwing cover and dot inlays. Might this be that model?
At this point that's the most common answer! Actually a 2001 special in Pelham Blue, someone also mentioned Inverness green, i am not sure if that was an option for 2001 specials though. Maybe someone in the comments could tell us, Inverness green and Pelham Blue aren't so far off, at least in my eyes!
I am not gonna lie, all those greenish-blueish colors looks the same to me! as long as i dont have to color match them for a repair!!! :D@@ianbenson7804

Nice color for a sg mostly it was red or black but this one is so awesome
such an awesome colour that green
Original colour is Pelham Blue! Ages like good wine!
@@sonicalmods781 its a 2001 special though isn't it?
@@dougckelly I think you are right! Are there differences with the standards ? I have no idea!
@@sonicalmods781 the specials have no neck binding, dots instead of trapezoids and that’s about it I think.
@@dougckelly cool, seems like a special then! I guess you are right!
Looks much better! 👍🏻 The only other thing you could have done was clean the poles in the pickups
Thanks for the comment! I ll keep that in mind next time!
First time I've seen that setup for straightening the neck before fret leveling.

I think this was probable a 2001/2002 period SG special in Blue Teal flip flop that's faded to green?

Was that original color Pelham blue?
Exactly! The yellowing of the laquer gets it to look greenish!
Probably Inverness green.
