Really enjoyed this review and the new 03 system in tiny drones. There are many fun places I can fly in 3 and a half minutes. The signal strength is so great.
Looks great Steve, Yeah the flight time has not really improved in the last 3 years or so. My BetaFPV micro back in 2020 had the same flight time too. But this one is smaller and the camera is excellent.
Thank you for all of your help and advice!! I ordered the geprc cinelog 25 and the acrobee75. They didn't have the 550's in stock. I did buy some 450's. In the RC Hobby everyone owns their own RC Hobby charger and knows how to use one. You may wish to start on that path (I've reviewed many chargers on this channel). If you want to get into the RC Hobby you most definitely need to watch this video: ua-cam.com/video/5etSyHokb6Y/v-deo.htmlsi=czJKtyjUjgfTg-Es

More flight time? On most drones (except DJI) it means use a larger battery. DJI makes their own batteries and you are stuck with what they make & sell.
If you are a newbie pilot, then neither are good as you need outstanding FPV pilot skills to fly through a house.. If you are an experienced pilot the ACROBEE75 is smaller in physical size then the GEPRC, but the GEPRC can handle a crash better.
I just dont see anything out performing my Kopis Holybro 2.5 that uses a 4s 850 and weighs 249 grams with the battery. It flies for 8 to 10 minutes and handles a lot of wind. I use the dji radio and it has the vista in it. I like the long flight times and I have 4 batteries to change out.
Why would a small drone like this only be for indoors with a dji Camera on it Who wants fantastic pics of kitchen cabinets. Am I missing something here. Great video Thanks
I honestly never check the weight of my small RC planes, so I’m not sure. I will say that the UMX PITTS, UMX A-10, UMX TIMBER X, UMX CITATION LONGITUDE… have been in my collection for over a year and I love flying these.
If you use the built in receiver then you can only use the DJI remote 2. Not many people like to use the DJI Remote 2 when flying FPV because it is more like a toy remote transmitter with no options.
hi Captain. i like that although you say out door flying well in the freezing cold flight will be less, but in summer time flight time would be more well a little and less windy i don't like flying indoors so that's out, this is for out door's. but the prise to much for a poor old pensioner.😪😪😪 great review Steve.
Amazing little drone !; question Captain, given the light weight of these Drones why is the flight time so little? (compared to say a Mavic Mini under 250g); is it that the battery technology hasn't evolved with them?
Please don’t mix up an FPV drone (which is what this is and flown by skilled pilots), with a DJI GPS Camera beginner drone, which is what the DJI mini is. Have you ever seen a DJI beginner GPS drone (mini or MAVIC) do what this little drone did in the video? If you watch EPISODE 1 of my video CAPTAIN DRONE FPV FOR BEGINNERS I explain why the two hobbies are very different.
Ahhh... so you are very new to the RC Hobby I see. A mini drone by DJI is designed to trickle out the power, usually via a LION battery. On a mini drone, everything is controlled by the onboard computer to keep pilots out of trouble. An FPV Drone can't do that because FPV drones are not beginner drones. In other words you need some awesome pilot skills because there is no assistance, so this also means you have FULL control of the power consumption, which is why FPV drones are extremely fast, agile and can do gravity defying manouvers. If you are still confused, think of it this way... A DJI mini drone would be your grandparents stationwagon car and an FPV drone with be a Labourghini. They are not gonna get the same performance or mileage. You could also compare it like this... a DJI MINI drone would be a CESSNA Plane and an FPV Drone would be an F16 Jet.... see where I'm going (performance and mileage will never match).
Actually no I’ve been flying RC planes, driving RC cars, and now quads since I was a teenager, I’m 50 now. What I’m getting at is proportion or scale, if you look at something like the dji mini 3 (which is the only dji I own right now) and it’s battery… I just wonder why they don’t make an effort to come up with something besides the S1 and S2 batteries that are maybe slightly bigger, that could give something like this little whoop 27 minute flight times.
@@jcastanza Now if you fly RC Planes, then you probably know the answer because RC Planes all average a 5 min flight time. Why is that you ask? Because they do not fly for you whereas a MINI flys for you and you pretty much just point it to where you wish to go. The battery is supplying power to 4 motors vice your 1 motor in a plane, yet it can stay in the air 4 times as long. This is all due to the fact that the drone controls the power output, not you. On an RC Plane, you control the output by continously moving the throttle and it is direct power from the battery to the ESC and straight to the BIG motor. Drones have small motors that are not very powerful... they have enough power to lift themselves. This is why you don't see people sticking a GOPRO on a mini, but you see people sticking a GOPRO on an FPV drone smaller than a mini (FPV drones, RC Planes have more powerful motors). In the FPV hobby you can fly drones for 30 minutes, but you need to use very heavy LION Batteries. The problem is then, that your drone behaves like a gutless drone and flys pretty much like a DJI Mini in a more calm fashion. So to summarize.... if you want an FPV Drone or an RC plane to fly for 30 minutes, you'd have to tame it to a point where it can't react or perform instantly as the pilot would expect.
After seeing quite a few videos about these tiny whoops and the ability to learn fpv with them i want to purchase this exact one with that controller. What was the exact type of the controller and do i need anything else before starting with fpv?

Nothing is compatible with the DJI motion controller because it does not exist in the FPV world. It was designed by DJI for people who could not use two hands on joysticks. As for GOGGLES V2, yes it works with them.

Not too noisy. FPV drone noise is often caused by weight of the drone.
