I like the thingamajig is connected to the whatchamacallit that’s powering that Doohickey. It really has the whole fluxdong running perfect 😵💫
The van is really coming along and the wiring hub is so well organized and professional looking. Great job. Part of me expected you to throw in a pic of Ted Nugent's "Cat Scratch Fever" album art...LOL. If you know, you know.
Yalls knowledge is impressive !! SolarHuskers !!
Lots of work guys looks great so far, a little set back with the crack in roof maybe rhino coat the entire roof like in a pick up truck bed it might help to prevent any future problems with water infiltration. At the end it will all work out!
👍🏻
Your project is coming along just fine. That said and considering the weather you are doing it in I'd say your progress is fantastic. Look at the good side on the crack. Better to discover it in your driveway than during a thunderstorm while camped out at Sturgis or some other remote spot. I think in the end your going to come out just fine. Thanks for Sharing!
So true!
The progress y’all are making is incredible. The small setbacks will make this journey all the more greater when it’s completed. Stay positive guys, y’all are killing it.
you guys are awesome 🤠
Looking good can't wait to see it all done!
You and me both!
That’s some heavy duty stuff you have there. I’ve never seen dc, run an aircon
Pretty cool that you can all that work yourself!
It's not been without its struggles lol
@@LifeontheBlacktop understandable but you guys figured it and got it done!
Great job 👍 coming along nice one day at a time
Thank you! Little by little shes coming together
Y'all have done a lot of work and it will be nice when it's done. I grew up in the snow and I don't miss it any. If you ever want to get out of Nebraska you have a friend in Texas that can help you. Some of our family from Loomis, Elm Creek and Kearney are coming down this weekend for a visit. We are all meeting in South Texas. It's going to be a great time and I'll be riding my Harley down which I get to ride almost every day. It's going to be great weather. Good video and hope you get everything worked out on the van.
Might have to hit you up for that for sure! We’d like to spend some time in Texas , we haven’t gotten to do that much at all.
amazing nice work...suppose you're going to build a Frankenstein something or other next...Lol!
Two steps forward one step back every project. Great video. Love following you two!
Every. Single. One. We appreciate you being here for us 👊
Keep on rocking
Nice progress 👍🏽
Looking good can't wait to see it done
Us too! Kind of tired of building it 😂
I think my brain just went into power saving mode.... Way too much going on! I don't know how you can keep track of all that!!! That sucks about the crack, I've never heard of that happening. Can't wait for the next video!!
Haha yours and mine both! My brain has been maxxed our for 6 months. Im out of bandwidth. I hope this crack is an easy fix!
@@LifeontheBlacktop I hope so too, good luck!!!
Hey you two, what’s the best way to get a hold of you relatively soon? Need to get some info to you. Thanks. 🙂
Corey hooked us up with the info! I keep forgetting to get back to you. We’ve penciled it in but can’t say yes or no yet.
@@LifeontheBlacktop I talked to him and he had said he’d talked to you, but I haven’t given him all the info yet. (He doesn’t have the info). Is there a good email address to send stuff out to you?
Wow, i must say im the type of guy who is jack of all trades and master of none...lol....but electrical is NOT my strong suite in any way, but you look like you know what your doing brother looks great, nice and neat too, i like it.....great job.......
Bummer you two about the roof after all the positives concerning your charging system. Great video & I enjoy seeing you two. 😊
I seem to be re-doing everything on this van 🤦♂️
@@LifeontheBlacktop
Measure twice, cut once???!!!!
Ever heard that before, Brian???
I get that some things you do are helpful to plan other things that require you to have to go back and re-do what you just did, but wiring and electrical should be done once(and pray to God that you never have to get back in there again!!!
Brian and Heather, your project is coming along just fine! Well organized and very neat!👍
I always feel like I'm behind. But, little by little its coming together!
I would put some roof shear on your roof You can get it at Menards But looking good keep up the good work you're buddy from Oxford
We’ll check it out, thanks man!
😃
That sharp turn you have for the wiring, if you haven't thought of it, buy some rubber gas line at Napa slice it down the middle length wise heat it up and bend it around the corner. Once it's cold put in the wire ,it should do the job
I was able to give myself enough room so it didn't have to turn quite as sharp I was worried about resistance there and it heating up but so far so good!
You're doing a great job.😊😊 So sorry about the roof!😒😒
I know you probably know this but I have a Victron shunt and all the negative connections for power users have to be connected to the shunt to get accurate monitoring of power usage (if there is any double, read and re-read the instructions). Just a lesson learned on my behalf).
Good point to bring up for sure. We have the shiny mounted between the buss bad and battery so it will monitor everything we attach to the fuse panels
Too bad about the roof, good job on the power assembly..................JB..
Thank you! Hopefully we can get that roof fix figured out. Pretty sure its just the factory sealant.
@@LifeontheBlacktop rv roof sealant maybe...
You are so fricken smart to figure all that stuff out!! What is the life expectancy of the batteries?
Its been a struggle lol I think 7-10 years typically but with our AC itll probably be 5.
How close are you guys to the finish line? You going to custom paint your logo on the outside?!
Honestly it seems like forever away. We are chipping away a couple of hours an evening on it. It’s pretty slow going. And we might! We talked about that the other day.
@@LifeontheBlacktop at least across the back doors, for traffic behind you to subscribe when they see you out!
Since you have all the electrical under yer bed, besure to cover the bottom of the bed with fire resistant covering
Cinderella 🤣👍
👍✌
Make sure your insurance coverage is increasing as the project proceeds. Looks like you have thought things through, but there is the unexpected that can happen.
@Life On The Blacktopw
Like @H2O Town says, make sure the insurance writer you have on the policy for your van is capable of writing a policy to cover all the upgrades you do to the van!
Take lots and lots of pictures along the way and submit them to your agent so they have a comprehensive record of what you have done/are doing!
If they have the pictures and you have the pictures then you both can be on the same page when understanding your insurance needs and what they are willing and capable of covering!!!!
You definitely want to Cover Your Own Ass(CYOA)!!!
I'll definitely keep this in mind!
@@LifeontheBlacktop
Might be a good idea to also inform the financial institution that provided you with the loan so they can appreciate the increased value in the vehicle.
Like I said before, Cover Your Own Ass, cause they don’t care and won’t care how much you’ve added if you don’t.
@@AzzKicker-bz1cb funny story. The loan company asked me if I was making it into an RV and acted reluctant to shell out the cash if I was. So I just told them I was using it like a pickup with a topper lol
Wow, you almost need an electrical room
Cracked the roof?? What about once its bouncing down the road?😳
After some digging we found it’s just the body sealant. So we are going to reseal the entire roof 🤦♂️
👍🖖
Wow that really sucks. :(
Aren't you missing a Flux capacitor?
On its way. Supply chain issues ya know? lol
GREAT SCOTT!!!!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
