Dinsdale Landon was a beautiful actor and a really classy, down to earth man!...Best of!
I'm running out of Sherlock Holmes stories. Thanks for sharing.
I will dig out some more in the not too distant future.
@@videocurios its a bit of a shock to learn that the villain of the Sherlock Homes stories had two grown up childern with a female singer. so far Homes does not have any bad feelings about them like he did with their dad.
A humorous angle twist this story had me quite amused still does.
thank you so much for these great Sherlock Stories . Their Amazing videocurious
Thank You so much for this Great story it makes for a Wonderful Saturday night listen!
The nettle Doctor, with 7% solution, thank you.
Hilarious but OMG, the sound quality!
A wonderful & affectionate send-up of the Holmes/Watson relationship. There was also a great radio play "Holmes & Freud" which explored the possibikity of Freud meeting Holmes.
and a movie "The seven percent solution"
I like it so much! Thank you😘
Wonderful to hear this again.
Loved it thanks
And, now, for something entirely different......
Wonderful !
An exercise in with deep sadistic streak by Mairowitz, a key figure in avant-garde theatre '50 & '60s.
Mr tod as sherlock Holmes. He sounds like jeremy Brett.
I and Dr Watson have your best interests at heart........ BOLLOCKS, Holmes had me roaring my leg off! 19.05 approx, someone please check I'm not hearing things!
john it really does sound like bollocks doesn't it. big up the foul mouthed holmes. too much opium methinks
Interesting point. The word used back then was BOLLOX, meaning rubbish and I'v heard it said on Just a Minute, for instance. Most people don't know about this until someone is brave enough to use the word again. Bloody funny though!
I enjoyed the satire.
Nice place good
"Wipe me boots, you slovenly old cow."
WOW!!!!!! Watson killed Holmes!?!?!? I have GOT to hear the rest of this!!! John Moffatt also played Poirot in dramatic audio stories. Wonder how Mr. Doyle would have liked (or not) it?
Doyle grew to hate Sherlock Holmes and did try to kill him off, but Queen Victoria was displeased. He had to resurrect him.
loved it lol
Part Two begins at 51.00
Part 2 continues at 49:38 ! :}
Loved it, especially the piano escaping from its moorings... Hilarious 😊
the leads have been cast the wrong way round, cf Sherlock Holmes vs Dracula
This radio programme has a news bulletin that allows it to be dated to around December 1987.
So did the brief dry BBC discussion of sex during WWI.
a really good one - thanks. really funny and full of doubt and expectancy - he couldn't possibly be gone, it's an impossible possibility - but he is! no he isn't! LOL
how could Sherlock not have a way out? never happen :)
(of course, the whole thing is absurd, as no where is there any inkling of this trait in Watson at all - so good to realize :} they are real people right? i mean, you know. . .
You never met my sister in law, there are those amongst us,who are not with our best Interest in mind.
Me too,Ted.
"Bad airwave day"ha ha good un
Have to agree with other comment, good story, but hilarious voices, Holmes sounds more like Leslie Philips (ding dong!)
Quality...this is a FANTASTICALLY FUNNY RENDERING...AND HOW, HOW, HOW...HOW..TRUE!!!!
name of the music please
Very funny
At least it ends well, as far fetched as it goes on, Watson you bum!
This must have seemed like a good idea at the time.
No it was a dummy from the start they must have needed something to fill up the airtime ha ha
Lmao
Paul temple
Appalling sound quality
Dr.Watson would have NEVER done a despicable thing as that!!!!!
I have to wonder about the motive behind writing it. Did the writer not like Holmes? *UN* fan-fiction writing. There are actually plays about this story.
is this a comedy?
utter crap. but thanks for the upload.
I agree
Is this suppose to be a parody? The humor (if it is humor) is a bit forced and somewhat tedious.
badweetabix Yes its pretty dreadful in my humble opinion
Oh c'mmon you guys! I did have a laugh myself and I've been told I don't have a funny bone! Lighten up bit (friendly advice here...)
No shite is shite I am afraid ha ha.
This was awful anyone can tell this was written by anyone but Sir Arthur Holmes comes across rash and sayin 'bollox' no sorry he wud never say that!! Nice try tho 4/10
I did not enjoy this at all.
This is awful.
Ditto
Every time I thought this story/writing couldn't get worse - it got worse. Horribly written and an insult to the characters of Holmes and Watson.
@Darren Otey You may not like it, but it's not like overt HATE literature. Other people may like it, for whatever reason.
Watson DOES make a good case, though. He was a doctor of medicine. These professionals can hardly be bumblers. It's uncomfortable but hardly unfounded.
..plodding and pointless. Overworked.
As much as I love Sherlock Holmes, the violin intros are insufferable.
The violin was Holmes instrument it's in most tv or radio versions my friend so unfortunately if you like to watch or listen to Sherlock you will have to tolerate the violin just be thankfully your not listening to me trying to play it lol :)
Absolutely the worst voice actors ever.
